The Bunker

247

The Bunker is a breakfast radio show for the post-apocalypse generation! One hundred years after a cataclysmic event, Tom, Dave and David decide to host a one-hour radio programme from their underground bunker, complete with guests, interviews, short stories and music. They also have to deal with the possibility of starvation, madness, monsters – both metaphorical and literal – and, worst of all, each other. The Bunker has a beginning and an end, so be sure to listen to Episode One first!

    Bloody amazing
I listen to this religiously. Silly yet though provoking.

    WTNV vibes
Delightfully weird and cheerfully horrifying. If you love Welcome to Night Vale, you’ll love this podcast.

    If Wes Anderson....
made pods it would be this.

    The show was great.
I enjoyed the characters’ development and the story arch. The writing painted a picture of the despair in the air. The recycling of actors to play multiple parts was inspired and well done.

    Listening again
I remember really enjoying this when I first came out and I am back again because this podcast is even funnier to me now that I have been trapped in a room for 8 months.

    Nnnnnope
There’s what sounds like a very gross racist song in the first episode.

    This is an amazing podcast
I’ll admit at first it was a little boring and I almost walked away from it BUT DONT it is worth sticking around and honestly I’m upset they never got their tea and biscuits but it is what it is.

    Love
High quality post apocalyptic entertainment. Started missing it with 4 episodes left. Also it’s 2020 and they could really reboot now...

    Great
Overall, the bunker is a great series. Just finished it and I wish it was still going. Already missing Dave, David, and Tom’s adventures.

    My First Audio Drama
This is the podcast that got me in to “story” podcasts, episode one and I was absolutely HOOKED!!! Forever grateful for this amazingly addicting storyline, one of my all time favorites!

    Wonderfully weird
It took me awhile to get hooked but I always wanted or needed to listen to more. It was an odd sensation I have never gotten from any other audio drama. It was hilarious, insightful, educational, and entertaining! I won’t say I loved every part of the show but somehow even the parts I didn’t enjoy as much as others I appreciated. Fantastic storytelling and wonderfully weird!

    The Best
This podcast made me feel things. I can't listen to it when I drive, because it puts me into a trance. Some episodes are an out of body experience. Listen with headphones or surround sound. It is my favorite drama podcast. It is a work of art.

    The best
I listen to a lot of podcasts.I gotta say this one has stopped me from finishing the more popular ones. And that’s a compliment.

    Splendid fun and heart
This show started off sounding to me as rip-off of Welcome to Night Vale, but it quickly evolved into a show that had the humour of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the best of the weirdness and creepiness of WtNV, the sound effects and drama of The Truth, and the a completely original story. As you can tell I really love this podcast, it's in my top 2 (This one and The Truth). Considering it was made on a $0 budget, this is so amazing sad it's only 12 episodes, but you can listen to MarsCorp after it!

    Excellent
This podcast is fantastic. Listening it in darkness of the night make me believe that I am really living in a post apocalyptic world.

Amazing, and it's only the beginning
This is the best podcast I've ever heard. Listen to it, it's beautiful work of art. The group who made this are mad geniuses, but they're Definitely Hunan. Haha.

Such a fun find, glad I gave it a try :)

    Fun radio comedy
Fun radio comedy with a sharp bit of dry humor while throwing in a dash of humanity, making for a great listen. The vocal cast is top notch while the creators do a great job poking fun at the radio talkshow concept, which maintains it's cliches even during the apocalypse. Well worth listening to, especially for fans of radio comedy.

    Well Done
Starts a little show but picks up as it progresses. Worth the wait.

    Seriously Unserious
An oldie-but-goodie. I'm talking about you Tom... erm Dave-also-also.
  • JennaWoosley
    Hated it
Basically a super corny sci-fi drama. If you're into that, by all means, be my guest. However, I personally appreciate good writing and not a really terrible knock off of the movie, Idiocracy.

    Perfect storytelling
Hilarious, deep, clever, sentimental... I listen to eight hours of podcasts a day at work and this is still the best of them all.
  • Governmentality
    A thinking person's apocalypse
Good music, great stories, fantastic interviews, a bit shy on biscuits but you can't have everything. Listen and learn something that might distract you from your short and lonely existence.

    End of The World Comedy
I have listened to this show all the way through twice. I enjoyed everything but the last two minutes. I think one of the best stories ever told revolves around the "I am Dog" play that occurs near the end of this podcast. I'm not ashamed to admit I cheered with the dominoes fell into place. I love the Ancients. I want more stories about them.

    need more like this
I really enjoyed this and would love to see more like this

    Superb!
This podcast sets a standard for all radio dramas. The writing, production, and execution are flawless. It's truly hilarious. Worth a listen, and a relisten!

    Fallout meets night vale.
It's got the right balance of ambience and comedy. The voice actors are great and it's really well written. If you like fallout or night vale give it a shot!

    Talk show in apocalypse
Ok show. Not much of a story to follow. Too much content discussing production of movies/dramas and acting. Just looking for story with a plot to listen to.

When the apocalypse comes David, Dave, and Tom are the painkillers you need to get you through the big headache.

An hour of my life I'll never get back.
Boring, idiocy. Not funny, not entertaining.

    from the future
turn off the lights and immerse yourself in this futuristic? apocolyptic world. trippy to listen to even if not on LSD. well done from America where the scenes in this podcast are not that far off from reality. also is katie turner single😉?
  • Zombi3Huntr3ss
    Nothing special.
I only listen for background noise. The 3 radio hosts are a little annoying, however, I like the stories the guests tell.

    The FUNker!
A truly engaging and entertaining show with a nice way of tying all of the plots together and with an ending that left me aching for more. Sadly there is no more, but eagerly waiting for marscorp!

This was an awesome story. I can't believe it doesn't have more reviews. You'll enjoy listening

    Excellent Show!
I love it! A high quality show with a great story, memorable characters, post-apocalyptic humor, and drama to keep you coming back each episode. What more could you want? This is the podcast you want to listen to!!
  • Uncromulent
    Another season?
Perhaps perfection is only found in twelve episodes.
  • karionwriting
    A funny little apocalyptic podcast
Versatile, with a sense of humor that really sneaks up on you. Usually, hour-long podcasts are too much for me, but these flew by. I'm only sad that it is now finished, but definitely worth your time if you're just stumbling across now like me!
  • GnarChud
    Depressingly Hillarious!
By far my favorite podcast that I have stumbled across.

    9 months. No show?!?!?
    Seriously. Terrible.

    Brilliant
Not sure why they didn't do the first episode in English, but the rest is absolutely amazing! It's thought provoking, funny, and great music breaks. There's no complaints about anything in the podcast. One of my favorites
  • Lok.tec
    So confused
The entire first episode is oddly in some foreign language. Episode 2 though was good and is in English.

    Better Than Tea and Biscuits
Whoever rated this less than 4 stars should be thrown into a cage by Adam. This is quite possibly the best podcast ever created, in my opinion. Okay, well, maybe not, but it's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. If you're a film aficionado, intelligent beyond what society deems appropriate for your socioeconomic class or simply enjoy good/dark humor and/or satire, this is your podcast. I thoroughly enjoy the short stories as well. The Bunker is well-made, polished and unbelievably funny, not to mention thought-provoking on a level that would make any artistic creator jealous. The writing will make you cry and question humanity all at once without being too overt. The roots of this podcast show as well - the examination and analysis of film theory is prevalent without coming off as too pretentious. As it originated from Gorilla Film Magazine, this comes as no surprise. I've written a lot of words, but basically, listen to this podcast and stick with it. If you dislike it, you're probably too entrenched in your lack of awareness.

    Beautiful!
Spot on commentary and criticism of the ignorance of the human race and our inevitable demise.
