Couldn’t get into it. Seems more like two guys rambling at a bar.

Andrew knows what he’s talking about for the most part. Matt does not, or at least plays a character that does not. It blows my mind after 5+ years that he still struggles to retain basic financial concepts and terminologies. Additionally, the show has always brought their politics (left leaning) into their discussions. I wish the show would stick to financial education rather than spreading agendas of political parties.

I recently found you guys while on my own little self awareness about how the rich read more than listen to music. So on my ride to work every day I found your podcast on Spotify. I love the banter and well you two mesh. I’m only in august of ‘14 so still have plenty to listen to, but really wish you guys would continue to put content out.

Jesus Christ I listened to one podcast and the host interrupted the guest nonstop. Impossible to follow along. Frustrating to listen to

Wow. REALLY miss hearing from these guys and head banging to their intro song every time. I binged this show during quarantine and learned so much. I discovered this podcast at the beginning of the pandemic, I loved it so much that I started on their first episode and I have gone through a couple of seasons. I was excited at the idea of catching up to the current episode, so I didn’t mind that they took a break. Now I’m almost caught up and I don’t want it to end. I wish you all well during these times. If this was the end it was a great ride, I just wanted you both to know what an impact you’ve made on the lives of countless people. Stay well. ❤️

Too much extraneous talking. Not enough solid financial insights. In particular the episode on Index funds, letting the users know the clear differences (and tax liabilities between mutual, index, and etfs) would have been helpful.

I would rather listen to them than these other guys. When is the show coming back???????

I started with the most recent episode and now am 10 left from completion start to finish. Matt, its fun to watch your journey progress from beginning investor, to over 25k In the bank. Andrew, its crazy to see how your investing strategy has shifted from stock to hard rentals and fundrise. Excited to continue the journey when the show comes back

You guys aren’t boring like Dave Ramsey or that other dude. You guys just keep it simple and just use your own anecdotes to explain things. 30 minute episodes are nice because it keeps my attention span, more than 45 minutes of PF talking and I’m done, so you guys are good for that. I look forward to learning more

Seriously the least overwhelming financial advice. I’m obsessed.

Listening this just to expand my frame of reference for finances. Andrew seems to be relatable, reasonable, and a good host. Matt, while successful, is hard to listen too. If he didn’t do it or if he doesn’t see how it works, he dumps on pretty much everything. Listening to the time value of money episode is a pretty good example of the overall dynamic. All in all, remember that this is entertainment. Take everything anyone says with a grain of salt and do your DD.

Listen Money Matters presents important Financial information in an easy-going, informal style. The Topics are relevant and wide ranging. Great stuff if you’re just getting started, looking to tune up your financial situation, or just wanna keep on top of what you are already have in place.

Please do not follow their advice! Some really bad advice was given In the episode on 4/27/2020 where they answered 5 listener questions: One question was about what to do with an inherited IRA. They told the 28 year old listener he would get tagged with a 10% early withdrawal penalty if he took anything out now

Basically if you listen to Andrew’s advice you would borrow as much money as possible and invest it splitting the supposed rate of return versus the rate of the loan Can you really take someone who suggests leasing a car vs buying because he “doesn’t want his money tied up” serious. Paying a lease payment the fees with setting up the lease and at the end all you did was rent a car at a high cost. The “advice” is down right dangerous and unless everything goes perfectly you will end up bankrupt. Avoid this podcast at all costs or else it’ll cost you big Claiming you’ve lost money because of the current market slump is bad and promotes panic selling the key advice would be to emphasize you only lose money if you sell

I love the laid back nature of this podcast, I constantly listen to it at work as I am a landscaper. It’s even fun for me to listen to episodes about topics I already know about because they put it into a different perspective. These guys are friends and they offer truly amazing advice that I use in my own finances. They take a highly practical and understanding approach, they don’t expect you to be making 100s of thousands of dollars right out of the gate. I hope you keep the show going because there is so much more I can say.

Since we are in quarantine and I’m making more money at the moment then I know what to do with I figured I listen to podcasts and try to learn more about money. So far listening to you guys has me obsessed, I can’t do anything else I been listening all day while working and after work. Thank you guys and can’t wait to hear much more!

Love the podcast guys. So, I’m not sure if I’m a dimwit for asking this: Should I refinance my student/auto loans with interest rates so low? No one seems to answer my question which leads me to believe it’s a dumb one, but I’d rather get acknowledged over my stupidity on the air than to get ignored.

I’m new to the podcast. I was really interested in listening to it based on the title, and then... I took a take a leap of faith and listened, and was assaulted by the podcast’s immediate right hook. It was a turn off but I stayed. All I heard after that was me, me, me. I was disappointed. I gave the cast a second chance and played the previous episode, only to (again) be hit with the same right hook! Tune this podcast out and find someone that actually cares about its listeners.

Love the new content. The older episodes are very actionable and hilarious. Good banter, witty remarks and now new and improved dad jokes. No matter if you listen to the Thomas Frank days or any episode with Matt you will have a good time. And let us not forget about Andrew. The guy that helped me get out of debt and on the path to create real wealth. Thanks guys!

Only thing that kills me is their misunderstanding of buying and owning a super fun car. Otherwise great podcast guys love it. Keep it up.

Hey guys, after listening to over 50 episodes (I started from the beginning) over the last 3 or so months, I finally remembered to sit down and write a review! To the listeners: Nothing about this podcast is perfect, except that it’s actually an entertaining way to learn about personal finance. I really like the format, the “expert and the newbie,” so to speak. This is one of the few finance podcasts I can listen to for hours on end.

I’ve been listening to this podcast on and off for years now. I was surprised when they changed hosts. Apparently the new host is one of the original hosts -before I stated listening- (the one with the bad rental and beer brewing hobby?) nothing against him I just feel like the younger gentleman who hosted after him and has his own podcast (college into geek) makes this show much more interesting. Bring him back please

I’ve been listening for years but recently it’s really been difficult to get through the episode. The first 5 minutes are about beer, I don’t care about what you’re drinking. At first I liked that it wasn’t overly professional and easier to understand, but now I find it just to be unprepared and all over the place. The guys seem to have a negative attitude to everything in the market. Listening to Matt complain about his rental property when he really just made a bad home purchase and is trying to pass it off as a rental is frustrating. I have to let it go.

Don’t know why you need to use the F-bomb. Shows your lack of intelligence.

Today’s show - ‘Rich people are Cheap’ was the last straw for me with Matt. There was a moment when I felt like Andrew could not even respond to Matt (when he went off about collecting baseball cards and how he hates ‘experiences’ etc) when I hope Andrew was thinking ‘I have to get rid of this guy, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, doesn’t listen to a word I say and is argumentative’. Matt is terrible. He knows nothing, anything he doesn’t like to do is ‘stupid’ and sounds like a child. Andrew please find someone better. When you do I’ll come back and listen to you.
