    Great pod
I really enjoy this podcast and the facts and guests. It’s always fascinating and an excellent learning tool. I do wish the host would consider not talking over her guests so much. I know she is excited about the points they are making and wants to share her insights or how she does things, but I find it rather rude and really distracting to the points her guests are making. But keep bringing the amazing content about different breeds and health issues! It is much appreciated.

    Episode 604
This discussion is gross…. Puppy brokers helping puppy mills sell their used “stock” through a shelter is somehow beneficial to the dogs and puppy buyers? Sounds to me like the goal here is to provide more “product” options to a customer base. Their team “goals” don’t even touch on how to stop allowing animals to be put into these situations in the first place. Don’t miss the pet health insurance ad because you are gonna need it when you “adopt” a genetic mess from their program. How is this any different than buying a puppy from a retail store? Retail rescue? The thought that this is a good thing for everyone is so disrespectful to ethical breeding practices AND folks in the trenches actually trying to help animals in need from neglect and abuse. If a breeders animals are in need of these services, they should not be breeding MORE animals in the first place! 🤬

    LOVE this podcast
I’ve loved, owned, showed and trained purebred dogs for many years, but have still always felt a little overwhelmed with how much info I felt like I lacked. Okay, I need to stack my dogs in the ring, but how do I do it well? I want to breed someday but how the heck to I know I’m ready? I live in a part of the country where there just are not many others in my breed. I feel like this podcast has been sort of a substitute mentor. It’s given me more courage to know what questions to ask and who to connect to. I really, really appreciate the wealth of info in these episodes! I learn something every time.

    English Springer Spaniels
Hello Laura, I love your podcasts and enjoy learning about each breed as well as the veterinary advice that is given because I have never heard of some of the diseases or treatments mentioned. I was wondering if you have ever done an episode about English Springer Spaniels? Is love to learn more about showing them in addition to more about Julia Gasow, owner of Salilyn Kennels. I own one, and he is the light of my life.

    Common ground through listening.....
Laura has brought a large group of diversified dog fanciers and human beings together with Pure Dog Talk. This last UTube session brought a professional mediator into the group, and I found this topic mesmorizing and highly appropriate. So many people seem to be taking sides without knowing the actual facts and realities of others who love dogs. Laura provided advise from an authority who brought sage advise into the fray. I will use this info/advise in my daily life. Thanks to Laura for bringing us mentoring advise and tools for engaging in more productive conversations. We never get too old to hear more productive ways of dealing with other people for a more sasfisfying daily world. All the pod casts can provide better knowledge for coping in our collective lives.
