    Love This
Feedback: Guys, either stop dropping f-bombs or stop editing them out because it made that whole Amico discussion unlistenable. Akkkk!
  • Death033
    Ugh
2 guys whining and crying about all pop culture.

    Good podcast
Good podcast will be miss it but great run. Any guess if those one stars are ever going to get their Amico’s Tommy promised 2 and half years ago?

    What a mess
It’s strangely interesting hearing thin skinned Pat go into a 40 minute personal rant/attack over other video gamers within the internet community. What a weird 43 year old man child. I only know about him because he was carried by James Rolfe.

    Will be missed
My wife and I have been listening for many years. I’ve been a fan of Pat since around 2008-2009. When I first showed my wife Pat, she didn’t like him. Now she has been a solid fan for a decade. I will listen when they upload, but apparently it’s no longer going to be a weekly show. It will be missed! Thanks for the years of entertainment, Ian and Pat!

    Two Man-Babies Complaining
This is by far the worst video game related podcast. These two are the biggest e-beggars in the retro gaming community. Ian and Pat scammed people out of $30,000 to help Ian pay for his back issues. Ian is a ex drug user and Pat is one of the most awkward people on YouTube. The podcast is going away (thank God) because these two losers are overworked. If I can give this podcast zero stars I would.

Solid retro gaming podcast whose time is over
I listened to this podcast for many years. It was a good run while it lasted, but it has come to an end. They will no longer regularly do the show after episode 350. Once regularity ends, that is the death knell of any podcast or YouTube show. I’m going to miss these guys, but the writing has been on the wall for quite some time. Ian wants to move on, as does Pat. I hope we see them in the retro gaming space in some capacity because their opinions always seemed to come from a place of intellectual honesty, which is important in what has become a very expensive and often exploitative hobby. I wish them well and thank them for the years of entertainment.

    Good listen
I have learned a few new things since listening, they have funny rants, overall a good listen/time killer!!

    Can’t recommend
Pat comes off as narcissistic and I don’t want to hear about politics in a video game podcast.

    Please stop
I absolutely love this podcast but listening to the post Halloween episode with you guys constantly wrestling with the candy bags and then eating on air was driving me nuts. We had this issue in the past with Pat eating on air. Please. Please. Please stop doing this kind of stuff. Misophonia is a real thing.

    WASTE OF TIME
The Completely Useless Podcast is so plagued by negative, ill-informed commentary that it’s impossible to listen to. Painting themselves as experts in all things they have no experience about, Pat and Ian ramble on indefinitely about how terrible everything and everyone is. They can’t even accidentally entertain a positive topic, and anyone that listens to these winners for actual facts is going to be terribly disappointed. Toxic, toxic, toxic.

    Very entertaining
    Love the podcast, great show.

Went down hill since the early days.
Pat is conceded, annoying, and closed minded. Ian was always interesting. Pat has gone from games, wrestling, movies and other entertainment to talking about how much he hates anyone he doesn’t agree with politically. It sounds like he is mad at the world and a grumpy old man yelling at the sky. This was a podcast about one thing now there’s a agenda. Uninformed politics makes me think Pats books are uninformed.
  • grftcrft
    Wow!
I just discovered you guys and I am your new biggest fan!
  • Kyle_R_27
    Love the show but…
I’ve been a fan of Pat’s going on a decade now. I’ve help fund both his books, been a patreon supporter for years and have traveled to multiple shows to see him in person. I love the podcast and look forward to listening to it at the end of a busy work week. The only criticism I have is that over the past few years it seems Ian doesn’t really want to be there. He comes off indifferent to multiple topics, wants to cut segments short and is always making comments about the show run time and the food podcast he hosts on the side. I get it, maybe he’s burnt out but he seems to be more focused on the clock than the show itself.

    I enjoy it
I enjoy this podcast, I really do. But man these guys are so incredibly negative lol. Almost seems like they are trying to make you hate our common hobby. Lighten up fellas, doesn’t have to be so serious!
  • Sprocket17
    Used to be fun…
Ian has become insufferable with his pushy opinions. It just isn’t fun or an escape from the news I hear everywhere else anymore. C’mon guys it used to be a good chill.

A podcast I’ve listen to for years
This was the first podcast I ever watched on a regular basis for many years. Never gets old, always love to hear what pat and Ian have to say or talk about, please don’t stop anytime soon! You have so fans who love you two for years and years! Thank you for all the content over the years! This is probably the best video game/video game news podcast that’s on the internet, Spotify and Apple Music PERIOD.

    Truly Unnecessary
This used to be fun. Pat and Ian used to enjoy doing the show and it was clear. Then 2020 hit…both host complain constantly and push a political agenda. If this was a political show, that would be one thing. The show has changed and it’s not fun anymore. Oh…don’t you dare disagree with the left wing agenda they are pushing…you’re just wrong because THEY ARE ALWAYS RIGHT!
  • FNN IV
    Love the podcast
Have to agree with the other listener. Let the amico topics end.
  • Javaris Javar Javarison-Lamar
I can’t tell if he’s sold out or just triggered and confused…
All Pat does is promote horrible products w negative engagement. When he spends hours complaining about Amico and NFTs into the algorithm, he’s actually just promoting them. I started listening because I like retro games. But not the podcast is just marketing for horrible products.
  • Webbsfeelslikehome
    Good show
Only things to complain about it the audio levels. Couldn’t hear the calls. Don’t use headphones if ya wanna keep your hearing.
  • Hayim Catstein
    Entertaining and really funny
Keeps me current on gaming news and it’s always funny to hear Pat and Ian’s takes on stuff. Great chaps to listen to.
  • Murrhound
    Boring
So I’ve tried again to get into this show. What do I get? Hamburger talk for 10 minutes and then they go on to discuss the same stuff they always discuss. One episode every month is all you need cause they just rehash the same things. Also Pat comes off as fake radio guy at times. Far better shows out there.

    Patreon actually has value now
Bonus podcast for Patreon. It finally has a VaLuE. Thanks Pat and Ian for finally providing a product for the free Patreon money. Pat still lives in a multimillion mansion and has money, but is providing something to the people giving him money. I still enjoy what Pat and Ian do. Thank you.

    Show of Opinions
I enjoy listening to Pat and Ian share their opinions on range of topics but mostly gaming. I find their takes on gaming news informative and entertaining. I don’t see why some people get so upset. If you don’t like their opinions, don’t listen.
  • 2600Dude
    I’m done
Show has gotten very political over the past year whether it’s government or Covid. Stick to games, if I wanted discussion on those topics there is other podcasts I could listen to
  • Juris Dizzles
Ian is the only good part
Pat the NES Clown is a thin skin, self righteous blathering YT C lister. The topics can be interesting but there are way better retro gaming and gaming in general podcasts out there. Don’t waste your time too long, eventually you realize this 41 year old with a basement of NES cartridges doesn’t really do or say anything other than talk about yesteryear while whining about other collectors and how the video game market is going bonkers. Ian is great, and you can tell Pat’s interrupting and condescending tone irritate him too. Pat doesn’t have any good analysis because he hasn’t done anything with his life except review old video games.
  • Zype2
    In my opinion
Out of all the podcast I listen to while working, this is my favorite. They have a nice flow in their conversations. Ian and Pat certainly have good chemistry and enjoy how they start the podcast with casual random topics that’s not game related. Their tone keeps me in tune without zoning off while binge listening while I am painting in a paint booth. Interesting how their taste in gaming and experience are often similar to mine. I am a bit older (44 year’s old), but they do bring up my favorite childhood memories.

    #1
Love this podcast. I’m fairly certain I’ve been listening since the beginning. Ditch the soundboard.
  • Philip Tripi
    Love the banter and discussions
Just ease off the heavy politics and anti police (Ian) lol
  • katjust123
    On and off
I go through phases with this. It’s probably not worth listening to. Pat suffers from inadequacy and overcompensates in his tone. It’s hard to listen to at times. But I usually come back when I run out of things to listen to.
  • bandguy2134
    Washed up.
Been listening for a long time and has gotten worse over time. If you want a video game podcast with 2 out of touch man children with low IQ political takes, this is for you.
  • BruceSi
    Great but..
Would be 5 stars easily but you get tired if hearing their political views, especially when they're started as though they are facts, rather than opinions.
  • charlesp9989
Good retro news but liberal idiots
Nice to reminisce about the past and current games but their liberal biases come through way too much and ruin the show.
  • oantera man
    Great podcast, must listen
Been listening since the beginning. Awesome !
  • Ricktor Johnson
    It’s fine
Pat is really annoying and seems super arrogant. I can’t tell if Ian is constantly fed up with him, or he’s just sort of dry. That being said if this podcast was more Ian and less Pat it would be a lot better. I jump in to listen when I’m out of other podcast and have nothing else to listen too, but it’s really “meh” over all.
  • WHIT3 ASSASSIN
    Constant whining
The co-host constantly whines and is the biggest hypocrite . If you want to hear perpetual crying then this is the podcast for you . Pat is great too bad he won’t break away .
  • Vsutp
    Great Podcast
I really like the podcast and have listened for years and will continue to do so. Want to try something fun, give it a shot! If Pat and Ian read this, please adjust your mics so that there is a consistent volume when you talk. There are times you are hard to hear while diving.
  • Trod55
    Shock jocks
I think pat is a D$&@ and very arrogant, he treats others as if they are below him. They run on shocking stories and pat loves to do one liners on people but never knows how to talk reasonably with people. Ian seems much better than him and should be running the show. He’s knowledgeable in show because he has experience with what they are talking about, but pat...he loves to collect, that’s about it.
  • FinelyDecantedCabSauv
    Good Filler
This should never be your main event podcast. It’s just two dudes reading news items that are out in the world and readily available to everyone. They then give their opinions. Why do I care what they think about literally anything? The reason I’ll listen from time to time are A. They work well together. Their dynamic is entertaining. B. There’s nothing else I want to listen to. The podcast would be a lot better if they never talked about firepro wrestling. Bring that game up and Ian doesn’t shut. Gag me with a spoon and stick an ice pick in my ears Also. It can be hard to understand them sometimes since they both have nintendo’s you know what permanently inside their mouths. Just this last episode ian came all over the place because nintendo announced a game that’s coming out soon then compared it to bethesda’s elder scrolls announcement. Completely ignoring that A. Beth only made that announcement because fans wouldnt stop bugging them to B. Beth has many times done what nintendo just did. They did it with FO4 and there was a year when every game they announced at E3 was coming out that year. Ian wouldnt know this though since Beth is not Nintendo and as far as he’s concerned only nintendo does things he likes.
  • xxcoolj
    Always listening
Pat & Ian are both just awesome!
  • probably done
    Good stuff
The dynamic between Pat getting Ian’s goat, and Ian letting his goat be gotten, is tremendously fun to listen to. Oh yeah, game news too.
  • Chris739
    Great Pod!
Fantastic pod for old school video gamers and video game collectors. (And non-video game collectors like me but enjoy hearing about it!) COVID-19 has sucked. Looking forward and listening to this podcast, though, has made it better. A+ job to both of you!

Listening for a few years now, but......
I started listening to this podcast a few years ago. I liked them in the beginning. I have both of the certain guidebooks and really wanted to like this podcast. At first I would hear stories about other podcasters/YouTubers not liking them. I didn’t understand. They seemed likable enough. But over time I’ve started to understand why they are so hated and disliked. They are constantly negative about just about everything. They hardly ever have anything nice to say about anything or anybody. That negative attitude begins to take its toll on people who are constantly listening to these guys complain about everything. Nothing is ever good enough. Nothing ever meets their standards. I can listen to one podcast and hear how great something is, then start listening to these guys talk about how much they hate the same thing. Then there is the occasional drumming of politics. Nobody cares about your virtue signaling. Stop it already. Listen at your own risk. You get the brand of podcast these guys offer and it’s not much.

    Great Dudes, Great Podcast
Have loved the show for years, love the discussion of games, politics, economics. Pat and Ian are funny and very cool dudes, keep it up guys!
  • loki09241
    No more politics
Keep your liberal politics out of your gaming podcast.
  • JohnnyFalcon50
    Great video game Podcast!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years and still enjoy it very much. A lot of retro gaming talk, which I enjoy. Both Ian and Pat are very knowledgeable and informative. Be aware that they do drop F-bombs from time to time. That doesn’t offend me whatsoever but, I can’t listen to the show when my kids are in the car. :(... Keep up the great work guys! :)
  • Tupac503
    Good but got some issues
I like this podcast I listen to it at work. The best part of the podcast is towards the end when they talk about topics people want them to talk about and it’s very good. I’m afraid that pat doesn’t get well inform what’s going on in the world of gaming today because I have a feeling he doesn’t play any of the newer games for switch,PS4 and Xbox . I would love to see him review the newer video games especially on the switch. Ian at least plays the new games. I hope I am wrong saying that pat doesn’t play any of the newer games. I like watching his twitch but will be cool if he plays some switch games
