    Small Production Suggestion
I love learning and being challenged by this podcast!!!!! My only wish is that there would be a ding or small sound indicating a commercial is coming. Because Jen does all her own commercials in her voice, it can be startling if there is a deep conversation going on which is often the case and then… BOOM! Her exciting voice promoting a product! That’s all… simple fix. Otherwise, love love love this podcast!

    Just what I needed
I am about to have a difficult conversation with a lifelong friend. Her recent move to NC where I have lived for over 30 years has changed the dynamic, This insight, information and guidance was extremely helpful.

    Thank you for the inspiration
Your show always helps me feel better. I loved the episode with Amy Morin. It was just what I needed to hear right now. Thank you.

The interview was so boring, this guy constantly talked about himself with no content. It was so boring.

Should be titled “look how great I am”
I enjoyed your end of the year episode from a few years ago but couldn’t get through this year’s episode. In the same episode you said you want to see how you can make the world a better place and then proceeded to talk about how great you are and how great your life is because of you, you, you. Eye roll. I mean you talked about what you can do for the world then talked non stop about all the vacations you are taking and all the vacations you have taken. You are constantly on vacation- NYC, girls weekend, Florida, cruise, another girls weekend, NYC again, me camp, etc. most people can’t live like this because even though we work hard and work overtime and work multiple jobs we have responsibilities. You have become obsessed with yourself. This podcast and your platform is all about you talking about how great you are and how you’ve done the work blah blah blah I’ve never met anyone so obsessed with themselves before. Girl look up cognitive conservatism!!!! I used to like Jen but I’m unsubscribing. You’ve just gotten so greedy, the nonstop shilling is out of control. You just want your followers to buy crap so you can go on more me camps to take a break from all your other vacations and trips. Girl you are out of touch and most of your followers are not as wealthy as you. I think you suffer from cognitive conservatism. The nonstop shopping and shilling is just too much, I don’t need another voice telling me to buy buy buy so you can go to me camp and take dozens of vacations a year. I know you don’t listen to people who disagree with you but I wish you would be open to pushback, the greed is disgusting. If there’s a queen of consumerism and capitalism it’s you hon. I wonder what this Jesus you claim to be obsessed with would say about that… I kinda doubt he would be okay with someone with such a platform saying “buy buy buy so I can go another vacation and keep buying stuff you don’t need and things you can’t afford with my Jen discount code so I can make more money and go on more trips and vacations and buy more clothes for my trips.”

    Beautiful
Jen’s words are always a balm. She’s thoughtful, kind and doesn’t shy away from nuance. Thanks to her and her team for great content!

    Audio
The audio is so bad.. I feel Ike your in a closet echoing. I love the guests and topics but audio I just can’t do

Great Show, but needs improved audio
The content of the show is interesting and conversational. I’ve been a listener for years, so this is from a ride or die, but lately, the audio has gotten so poor that I notice myself skipping it. On a platform where audio is all the audience has to consume, it becomes pretty difficult to listen through. There were points in time where the audio used to be good/better, but the last several years, it’s struggled. It’s highly noticeable that 9/10 times, the guest has professional audio, which really plays up the quality issue on Jen’s side. If you can only make one improvement, please invest in better quality audio. Thanks and love the show!

    Audio quality
I would love to listen to this podcast more but the audio quality is very challenging to understand what is being said.

    Empowering show
Love the show and the topics!

    Want more Nate
    1. I would rather hear what the guest has to say. Need WAY less commentary from Jen and Tyler. 2. The audio quality is horrible. I could barely finish the episode.

    Good content, TERRIBLE audio
I want to like this podcast, but the audio quality is SO. BAD. C’mon guys. For a podcast that has been around for several years, I would think the audio would be better by now. I only listen to maybe a third of every podcast before I get so annoyed with the audio that I give up and move on to another podcast. Please upgrade your audio equipment!

Jenn, get a new microphone! lol
LOVE the podcast but man, you gotta get a better mic or a better sound mixer; it’s so echo-ey and scratchy. Love the podcast otherwise!

Great Content but c’mon with commercials!
Far less well known podcasters don’t have any advertisements… let alone the slew of them that interrupt this podcast midstream throughout. Very distracting. Not worth it.

Love the show, hate the audio quality
I live this podcast but find it hard to listen to because of the poor audio. It always sounds so echo-y. Only love, just wanted to share the feedback.

How is the sound so awful?
I mean. Also how annoying is Jen?

    Disability/Amy Kenny
Loved this show! I have a 32 yr old disabled son, so all of it was relevant and helpful! I'm also thrilled to find out my local library in Berkeley, Ca. has Dr. Kenny's book.
  • kmsulli
Yes to disability acceptance and empowerment!
Just listened to your episode with Dr Amy Kenny. As mom to an amazing, disabled 23 year old, I was so happy to hear you share this message. Thank you for introducing your audience to terms like ableism, interdependence and inspiration porn. It was a wonderful show! Thank you both!

    Hahaha
Jen Hatmaker partnering with the Gates Foundation? Why am I not surprised. Yiiiiikes.

Would prefer Less “saying” and more asking
I am stalling out on listening to this podcast. Jennifer seems brave, kind and willing to say and do the difficult thing and push the boundaries on topics. She schedules great guests. I should be a HUGE fan. My challenge is that TOO much of the podcast is about the host’s views and pondering. Why have a guest on if you will offer a long monologue disguised as a question? I find myself either jumping ahead 30 or wanting to go find the guest on another podcast or get even the basics of their stance. I can tell the host is in learning mode, but maybe it’s better to let the guest share and leave more of the learning and digesting to the listener.

    Great content needs better sound
Great podcast chock full of meaningful content especially for middle aged women going through a transition. The sound quality could be improved significantly for the host with a good mix and a smaller recording space!

    Excellent
Happy, fun podcast. I would love if you would interview the 2 podcasters that play Paul and Sasha on the hilarious, satirical podcast “Community News with Paul and Sasha.” Their backgrounds in TV and comedy sound so interesting and their show is great like yours. I hope you have them as future guests.

    Fun and fluffy
I turn to Jen when I need a boost of smiley happy energy. I enjoy her guests and being introduced to their perspectives. Sometimes there is too much Jen in the interview. She usually asks an enormously long question (one of my pet peeves, I must admit) and doesn’t let her guest answer it fully without her jumping back in. I needed the idea of Me Camp (been doing it for a few years but didn’t have a cute uplifting name for it.) This year I did We Camp with my new beloved. Jen is fun. I learn a lot. But she sells a lot of stuff and it is distracting for me. Happy listening

    All about Jen
I love some of Jens guests but on the whole listening to this podcast I find instead of learning, being inspired..it is more “learning about Jen.” A whole episode on her romantic relationship? A whole episode on how her cookbook was made and then another one where the cookbook is the book of the month and someone is interviewing her? She has a lot of fans and normally when you are a fan of someone you want to learn more about them..but finding when the next episode comes up in my feed I am checking first to see if the episode will once again be “all about Jen. So many podcasts…not sure how long I will stay subscribed to this one.

    Audio 👎
I love Jen! I love her podcasts! I went to her live event in Austin :) but it’s hard to listen to her podcast because the audio is so bad. I have to constantly turn the volume up and then down a lot of times. I can’t understand everything she saying it almost sounds like she’s in a closet or something is wrong with the microphone. I’m not sure what it is but the sound quality is so bad.

    The AUDIO
Love Jen, but the audio on so many episodes is really awful. Was excited to listen to this family episode, but couldn’t get through it. :(

    Relatability
I loved the podcast with Tyler… you two are real, raw & honest. I’m not at all in the same place as you in a relationship & still felt it was so relatable. I adore what each of you do separately & even more the force for good you are together! I’m so grateful for you both in this world!

    Grounding
Jen shared her own ups and downs and introduces me to inspirational thinkers and speakers! The faith shakers series got me hooked as I scrolled through her history of segments. Thanks for making me laugh and sometimes cry and keeping me grounded about what matters! You rock!

    Hard to follow
Either they tried too hard to be fun and funny but they voice was cringing.

    Pie Book lady!
I loved learning about this lady’s inspiration and love of creating!!! So fun! The one question I was wishing Jen would ask was if the pies are baked or not. The colors don’t look browned. I was curious if baking them changes the colors. And I was wondering about the fillings. Do the fillings connect with the book in any way?

    Sad former fan
I have followed the For the Love podcast since the very first episode. I own every one of Jen Hatmaker’s books. Over the last several years Jen has verged farther and farther from the Bible to the point that she no longer has a Biblical world view. I am truly sad because I really learned so much from the podcast in the beginning but I can no longer listen to a show that claims to be Christian but is not Biblical.
  • CupofJenn
    Incongruent
There’s Bible speak that isn’t biblical - not sure who she’s pandering to? It’s a shame because dang she’s funny - but so off base.
  • HeatherPenny
    Grateful for you
Thank you for your courage to explore with such beautiful curiosity.

    Amazing
I listen to most of these podcasts but this one is the absolute best. I’ve listened and read Padraig for years but I was mesmerized by very word. Thank you.

    So Excited!!
Not new to Jen Hatmaker, but new to the boom club! Felt I needed to go back in time and catch up and WOWZA so much to unpack…and LOVING EVERY SECOND! #addicted Jen, you are a gem to the world! I DIG WHAT YOU ARE PUTTING OUT THERE! Thank you. ❤️
  • MelB531
    I just love you 😊
How did I not know who you were until now ? I first heard you on Glennon Doyle’s podcast and you were just mesmerizing to listen to about such a serious topic, but you said things in such a humorous way. I just finished “of mess and moxie” which I know isn’t recent, but I loved it. The audio version of your books are a must. Your tone and way of speaking is everything. Listening to your episode on grief now and you said something that I so related to. You said even though it wasn’t a death, you are still grieving a loss. I have found the same thing to be true in my marriage experiencing infidelity, even though we aren't divorcing, it is still a loss. I have related to many of the thoughts around grieving a death to be true in my case also.

Like a conversation with the big sister I never had.
I actively did not engage with Jen’s work for years. I am a recovering evangelical who has a trained relationship with all things church. But no I realize that, having lived my story, she’s able to articulate questions and introduce teachers who’s work profoundly affects my life in a positive way. Thank you.

    Beware
Creating a god in our image that doesn’t disagree with us is dangerous and actually self worship, and that’s exactly what Jen Hatmaker is doing.
  • Reensings
    For the love of JEN!
This woman is saving the lives and hearts of so many wounded people. This podcast is one of several life-jackets God has thrown me during a season of deconstruction in which my entire theology/world view has been stripped down to “Huh. I may be wrong about that.” Jen’s journey gives me hope that there is light and love on the other side of evangelical idiocy. She is balanced, loving, empathetic, and an ally to the marginalized. A must-listen.

    Highly recommend
I recommend so many of these episodes to my friends that they are probably sick of hearing me talk about Jen Hatmaker. The interviews and conversations have given me such insight in understanding many topics. Thanks for helping me navigate my own journey and helping me grow through loving others, as well as, learning how to love myself.

    Thank you
Jen has introduced me to so many leaders who mean so much to me. Thank you for shining a light on these important people!

Thank you - this podcast is the best!
Thank you Jen and team for boldly speaking the truth about all parts of life - the good, bad, ugly - all of it. Thank you for addressing the elephant in the room with grief and divorce. It is a comfort knowing that I am not alone!! This is seriously my #1 favorite podcast. This podcast the best content and the best guests. I have never heard an episode I didn’t love. Keep bringing it!
