sleep deprived listenerAwesome podcast! This is a great source of information. As a practicing internist for 30 years, I find this information to be very clinically relevant and yes, at times practice changing I’m using a lot more coronary CT calcium scores with the seeing is believing attitude and tried the hum test and put my tuning fork aside after the episode on hearing loss.
-
ameluciaThe new hostsI agree with previous reviews that the joy of the beginning episodes is obscured by the new hosts incapacity to trigger my interest. They just don’t have it ! If Matt and Paul are not there , I dont even bother . And, It has turned WAY too comercial . . Paul and Matt, thank you for puns and years of learning and reviewing the beauty of medicine . No more curbsiders for me for now .
-
WinniePruhBring back the OGs!I used to listen to every single episode (sometimes multiple times - as the hyponatremia one with Dr Toefl) and even went to the live episode at the 2019 ACP meeting. Love the OG hosts, they are so much fun! Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the new hosts and they annoy me so much every time (rarely) I listen to an episode. They are just not fun at all (sorry) and have a bit of a condescending tone. Also, lots of adds and content for early learners (students?). Unfollowing for now but will forever love the early episodes.

ED to ClinicFantasticAs an Emergency Physician who never worked inpatient or clinic in my career, now back in fellowship for addiction med, I was desperately looking for podcasts to learn some primary care. This is the one. Thanks for the hard work
-
Yobee!2023Uh, UmI love this podcast but I feel quite distracted by the number of times speakers say “uh” or “um”. It isn’t as easy to stay engaged with the episodes and I find myself opting to switch to different podcasts or older episodes for ease of listening.

Chicagogal8“The IM podcast” episodes are gold, but…I’ve been a diehard fan of this podcast, listening to it pre and now post-residency to delve deep on important topics, get caught up latest guidelines, and enjoy a hearty dose of med-nerd humor. Unfortunately, the newer hosts drive me absolutely crazy with the “Um” and “like” and tone of voice that makes them seem perpetually blasé. The guests are still pretty stellar and the content still relevant. However, the intros, interview questions, and commentary have lost their shine. Unfollowing this one for now, but I’ll continue to repeat those earlier episodes for some spaced repetition! I recommend the ones with Hannah, Stuart, Paul, Cyrus, and the ChuMan or any with my favorite guest star Dr. Topf.
-
HyponatremicGreatLove this podcast. I’m in an IM-adjacent field and staying up to date on curbsiders keeps my knowledge appropriately broad. Plus, I love the jokes. The only distraction is how much “like” and “um” some of the hosts on the spin offs use…on those episodes, it’s all I can hear.
-
readbooksforsanityThe IntroI love this podcast but the intro is triggering for me. It makes me cringe. The fast talking to the video game music. Please consider updating in.
-
America’s PAListening for yearsGreat show. I always learn something and easy to stay engaged. I’m a PA coming back to the show after being away from IM for the last two years, and it has been a great to catch up/refresh, and work towards my required CME. I met Paul once and he was very kind. I don’t understand the people complaining about ads..: they are minimal and it easy to skip past them. Considering almost every episode is an hour of high quality free category 1 CME in a format I can consume while driving, exercising or doing chores, I don’t mind jumping over ads a bit.

Ridiculi10Nurses at KashlakLet me start by saying that as a nurse for over 10years in the inpatient and ICU setting your podcast is extremely helpful in developing my practice….unfortunately not a doctor but I want to help my doctors more so our patients have the best outcome. Wondering if you could have a brief advice for nurse segment…maybe call it “Kashlak Nurses Station” “Navigating Nurses at Kashlak” “Krusty Kashlak Nurses” “Nursing Rounds” etc. thanks for all you do.
-
yultuljulGreat resourceI wish I knew about this podcast while I was in my FNP program. This podcast has helped to guide my practice as a new NP. I highly recommend this podcast for new or seasoned providers alike.
-
JschoberMost helpful podcast!I have been listening to the Curbsiders religiously since PA school. As a newer primary care PA, I can’t express what a helpful resource it has been to go back and listen to specific topics. I appreciate the show notes and the ability to reference them in clinic after listening to the podcast. The structure and content of this podcast makes it helpful for individuals at any stage of their career! Bonus star for Philly-based hosts.
-
chimedic44Obesity medicine episodeParamedic here. What a fantastic and accessible episode from Dr. Fatima. Curbsiders did an amazing job finding and booking her. Learned so much and really think this will help me to contextualize the patients I see and some of the medications they list off. Thank you team.
-
Ali WalsAbsolutely awesome!I have been listening to your podcast since you were producing number 40 something and always learn so much! I am a pulmonary critical care dietitian who also teaches the medical residents, nurse and dietetic interns. I pull your show notes as well as share links to your podcasts with the ICU residents and staff as well as our transplant services as they apply to patient cases and diagnoses. THANK YOU for this as well as your family of podcasts!
-
DeborahWalshFNPLove this podcast! You guys do a great job of presenting. Guests are terrific. I like to hear what people are reading, too. Lol. Keep up the great work.

-
MK CheeleyGreat conversational pearlsLove the conversational nature, seemingly unscripted. Wish there were some dermatology topics.
-
PathMaxExcellent PodcastIt helped me diagnose pain pre-ulceration of the kissing ulcer kind. Very nice
-
kmbtherapyIron deficiency episode brought me inCan’t wait to listen to more of this podcast. The information provided in episode #84 was invaluable and helped me understand more about why so many practitioners—even hematologists—are afraid of IV iron. I don’t think my doc would take kindly to being given a podcast to listen to, but I could share it with her without potentially offending her. Even with two IV iron infusions over three years, I have found maintaining my levels difficult because I have to wait for my ferritin to drop so low that I am non-functioning before an infusion is even discussed. Everyone is so afraid of iron overload.
-
melodyodellWonderfulI listen to this podcast daily. It is entertaining, easy to follow, and jam packed with great information. I have noticed more confidence with my clinical decision making since I began listening. Keep up the excellent work.
-
mint_julep7I love your jokes…. & digestible material that is applicable to real life practice. I am able to take what I learn on CS then actually use it. I also appreciate the continuing education credits. Full package with time we’ll spent on my commute (have to take a break from serial killers / true crime drama sometimes right?)
-
ENAI4105JokesNo jokes please. Other material presented is great.
-
FNP LynnieExcellent podcast for practicing cliniciansI am a nurse practitioner in a rural clinic. Curbsiders provide a wonderful variety of topics, providing practical evidence-based advice and pearls useful to many aspects of practice. The case studies are relevant to what we face in clinic or hospital. Their sense of humor is fantastic as well and I appreciate the depth of topic coverage.
-
SnoogansBONGMy favorite medicine podcastHospitalist here. This is my favorite medicine podcast to review topics and stay current on medical literature- especially helpful as I’m out of academia and in a rural practice setting. Concise and high value content with an excellent EBM lens. Bravo!

firefly29445hormone TherapyShame on you for using the term post menopausal persons. What kind of science did you liearn? Dont' you know that women menstruate, make eggs, and experience menopause? Not persons... WOMEN, i.e, mature girls. You are gone from my downloads. Shame.

Matt ManiaBCPS Study HelpPharmacist here. This podcast was a great listen while I was studying for my BCPS exam. Perfect blend of entertainment and practical knowledge/clinical pearls that I could listen to in the car, doing the dishes, or mowing the grass. Really appreciate the content this team creates! Chickendoc53THE best internal medicine podcastSo grateful to have found these IM masters to bring all their specialists on line to provide a curbside for us all. I miss how physicians would be so willing to share their knowledge and this is not only educational but also feeds my IM soul.
-
audlizInformative!!!As a patient, this podcast is extremely helpful to understand medical issues. I have learned so much! It has helped me navigate doctor visits and equips me with great questions to ask my doctors. I love the case studies and hearing several medical professionals decide the possible treatments. WillM01Great showI’m a 4th year med student and recently have been binging the podcasts since 2016 to get caught up. You guys are great and hope you continue doing what you love. Highly recommended.

Smiley Med ManExcellent podcastReally informative with very knowledgeable guests. The presentation of medical information is easy to absorb and remember. The conversational style of this podcast is probably the best way to learn and remember new medical information for most people. The hosts keep the conversation lively and interesting. Thankful for their effort in putting out this podcast. Keep up the great work.
-
topdocreeceIt’s okGood content, but episodes are way too long to listen to anymore as my career progresses
-
ikeandneelyI&E thoughtsThought on marijuana use and clinical trial: if study is conducted in multiple states and laws vary the study sponsor will have language about not using and/or abstaining to ensure consistency. LOVE the podcast- very tangible for this nurse!
-
Socram2009NephroMDEvery review is relevant and fun. Love the podcast, it’s a nice way stay current in IM.
-
WetstuffI want these docs…As a lively, despite heart and spine issues, 79 yr old patient I listen to almost every issuance. Having been around old tired Docs I am comforted by knowing you young folks will be available to the next gen. Stay fun ..be human ..and have a demanding hobby or life outside work. Cheers. Jim/Maryland

BodpaAmazing ContentI am a new Family Medicine PA working in an underserved areas where we also tend to do a lot of IM. This is the podcast I listened to most often on my commute to work. I like the humor, the guests who breakdown things so well, the questions the hosts ask, the topics covered, and just about everything. I am hoping that they will cover NAFLD at some point since it’s so relevant in our everyday practice of medicine. Thanks y’all!!! You rock!!!
-
Dr. Michaela S.Excellent podcastI have been following the curbsiders since they started and have not been disappointed. They always have informative guests that keep me up to date on the latest in medicine.
-

-
A Dissertation on This AppSpecialty Practice, General KnowledgeAs a PA who works in a surgical sub specialty I really value the content of these podcasts to help me stay informed on general internal medicine topics. The content is delivered in a way that maintains your attention and you can tell that a lot of time and energy is invested into producing this. I listened to this podcast nearly daily to help me prepare for the PANCE when I was a student making long commutes to rotation sites and I have recommended it to several other health care providers and students! Keep up the great work.
-
Mochacha2021A must for all cliniciansHave been listening for a couple years now and it’s one of my favorite podcasts. I work in family practice and many times I will listen at the end of the day when I have a particular patient problem that I can’t figure out and 99% of the time there is a episode about it. This is a truly invaluable resource plus, !!slap yo mama!! we get NOTES too! I would gladly pay for this as the time and effort you all put into it shows. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
-
pulm/cc fellowLearning that’s entertainingJust found this podcast while looking for a way to study passively for my IM recert exam. Reminds me of the camaraderie of residency and fellowship. Thanks for putting together such a great show. I can’t wait to binge listen to all the old episodes and feed my brain. Yummy.
-
pina500Too commercialThis is a podcast whose makers are now more interested in making money and putting ads in the middle of the podcast 2-3 times in a 20-25 min podcast then really disseminating medical info
-
christine at 73The Best! One of my favorites podcasts! Informative! May I suggest les chit-chat and talk slower! I know intelligent people speak faster. I’m in medicine but sometimes I can’t keep up! Love the info! Very useful to laymen. Provides info so people don’t need to waste Dr time! Podcast invaluable!
-
Primary Care FNPSuch a valuable resource!I am a new Primary Care FNP and I find this podcast to be more valuable than my clinical rotations in school. It provides uninterrupted time and education from specialists in the field with information that is applicable to my daily practice. The podcast and website formats are thorough and well-organized while also entertaining. I feel I hit the jackpot finding such a valuable resource!
-
ersmedThe BEST Internal Medicine Podcast out there,Funny, informative, guests who are leaders in their fields. I am a Physical Therapist and every level healthcare professional should find this podcast extremely meaningful and helpful. Go back to show 1 and listen to all of them, it will make you a better, more educated clinician or educator!
-
Sarah M, FNPMy favorite medical podcastI am a FNP working in a charity clinic. I listen to this podcast everyday to and from work. I really enjoy listening, not only is the content excellent from an educational standpoint but the host are entertaining and funny and make the material enjoyable. I have been listening for over a year & My only regret is not finding this podcast sooner!
-
HhhiiijjGreat information, but…The guests and the information they provide are great for med students and interns! I usually don’t review shows, and I don’t mind them having fun on the podcast, however, the first 15 minutes is often over the top with extraneous stuff and has become really distracting. There really is no need to discuss politics, there are enough podcasts for that without infiltrating a show about EBM.
