    WOKEISM
Informative but a bit to much emphasis equity and not enough on medical science.

I am impressed with the breadth of information presented, the focused brevity, the clarity of speech, and quality of recording, each of which has been an issue in other medical podcasts that I’ve followed. Sincere Thanks, H. Messec, MD

    Abortion commentary March 31,2023
Less politics please! For the record abortion is MURDER of a child, NOT a reproductive choice! Drop the baloney about climate change affecting everyone get off the political bandwagon and focus on science! I’m not listening further because you guys are interested in politics I wanted politics I would listen to a political podcast
  • GolfFiend
    Stick to medicine
It’s a journal of medicine, why so much one-sided political commentaries?

Good but would be better if they narrate faster and livelier
This podcast helps me keep up with up-to-date stuffs as a medical student. I would give it a 5 star if not for the narration that made me feel like I’m listening to the podcast on 0.5x speed.. I have to increase the playback speed every time I listen so that my brain wouldn’t be bored

    Concise and informative
I truly enjoy the format of this podcast. Great way to stay up to date on the latest research. I always bookmark the summaries that appeal to me most, and read the full publications later on.

    Great content, Hard to listen
We all know the New England Journal of Medicine has reliable and up-to-date content. Is there a reason why it has to be read in a voice that seems to be imitating a robot? It sounds like they have asked Siri to read the articles. It is very distracting!

    Amazing
As a medical student, this is really perfect to keep up to date with clinical materials

Great! I love the NEJM weekly summary podcast
I think the narration is excellent! Very clear and easy to listen to -not sure why someone would label it "annoying". As a licensed clinical Social Worker who practices in an ambulatory oncology setting it is vital that I maintain a current knowledge of Cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as of the general U.S. Medical landscape if I am to be an effective advocate for and psycho-educator of the patients and families I support. NEJM weekly summary is a wonderful part of my routine learning. The Journal is fabulous and the summary is clear, succinct, and elucidating.

    Good but annoying
This is such important information but the way this podcast is narrated is very annoying.

    Oh no
I love science- I am a medical student, and I am looking for some easy ways to keep up to date on recent scientific developments. Here is the problem- this podcast is literally just someone reading the articles. There is no discussion or explanation, it is quite possibly the least accessible podcast I have ever listened to.

    NEJM
This podcast is too political. The liberal lean is tiring.

    Great idea, horrible execution
If you’re going to create a podcast of some of the most impactful clinical research in the world, have it delivered by engaged experts who can put it in context, and deliver it with some enthusiasm. As it currently stands, I find it difficult to listen to the dry monotone descriptions, which lack context, and miss opportunities to deliver important take-home messages.

Great way to keep up to date
As an MD/PHD student preparing to return to clinic, the NEJM podcast is perfect for keeping up to date on clinical practice while on the go. The format is perfect for a quick listen and the narrator is clear and concise.

    Great app
Great to listen on the go! Would be improved by time stamping each article similar to other podcasts (see the Rachel Maddow show) so you could move quickly to the article you ar interested in
  • PathMax
Listening to NEJM clinical practice articles since 2007 and podcasts for nearly as long
The knowledge imparted over the past decade through these podcasts has been edifying. Sometimes an interesting medical topic will be presented in a podcast, and then years later the topic will come up and I will recall when and where I was when heard the information through the podcast.

    Thanks!
Finally the ability to rate within podcast app - good podcast. Helps to keep up to date. Thanks!

    New NP learning medicine
I love this podcast! It's a great mix of both big (disease tx and social topics) and small (cellular level interactions) picture nuiances in medicine. Thank you so much NEJM! I do wish your interesting case reports included outcomes more frequently.

    Very nice
I shared a review of this app at the drsocial physician review website. Dr.Social donated $1 to medical research for every person that signs up for free. It's an innovative advertising model that funds research: connect researchers and patients in a social health network so we can deliver the high-quality clinical information, fund medical research. Many companies give back to the community after they make it big and acquire hundreds of millions of dollars. DrSocial differs markedly in that it isn't created I get rich and then give something back; it was created to, literally, fund research from the very beginning.

    Excellent summaries!
One can listen to the podcast while driving to work. Very eloquent speakers and generally comprehensive and concise summaries.
  • SackAckAck
    Snoozefest
The presenters read article summaries in an utterly disinterested monotone. Yes, NEJM has interesting articles, but the thoroughly boring presentation makes it tough to pay attention.

    Broken
This podcast no longer works. Episodes can not be found on server. It used to be good. Now it is not.
  • PsycheII
    Good summary but not complete
Good short intros to each article, but could be a little more in-depth
  • Smartpatience
    Great summary
I enjoyed NEJM weekly summary every week. It is concise, informative and relevant. I highly recommended to anyone who is interested in medicine.

Fewer topics & more "detail" would be nice. The case report was nice right up to the point the narrator essentially said "read the article". Let NEJM subscribers have more.

    Fantastic!
Such an easy/enjoyable way to keep up with the literature. Great audio quality and concise summaries. Thank you!

    Nice summary
I have trouble keeping up with the latest literature, so this is a good way to get the summary of this weeks NEJM. I would have 2 suggestions - have professional actors read the abstracts (usually they are more engaging, even if the topic is dry), and to also give a little bit of a background + expert commentary on the study being presented.
