BettieBloemPerfectI canāt think of anything I donāt enjoy about this podcast! Aaron and Chad are household names, lol. Road trips, whilst working, baking cookies. Itās terrific to enhance any experience where you want sound other than music! Keep it up! Weāve been listening for years!

general turtles is so coolGood for long car trips!I like to listen to lore on long car trips itās very interesting and passes the time. My only complaint is the upload schedule.

This name isnāt taken.Love it butā¦A-aron! Stop patting yourself on the back every episode. We know youāve won awards for this but you should at least act humble. Stop reminding us of your achievements and podcast!

kelly.enchant100% LoreAaronās writing style is incredibly engaging! I have enjoyed every episode Iāve indulged in and all of his books. Brilliant work on the research aspects; I am always enthralled and call upon Loreās stories for that intensely strange comfort feeling we get when we listen to spooky tales āØāØāØ

RoseyKnowFavorite PodcastThis podcast has been my absolute favorite for the past three years. Iāve listened to all episodes, and all other podcasts that are produced by Aaron Mahnke and Grim and Mild. Lore is just the right amount of spooky/macabre and Aaron Mahnkeās storytelling is unmatched. I love that while the show covers some disturbing topics, the stories are delivered in such a classy manner with no swearing or gratuitous violence/gore. I recommend this podcast to all my friends/family and anyone whoās interested in the darker, more macabre aspects of history. Please never stop making Lore!

Tori_911Lore is wonderfulIāve listened to every episode of Lore since I found it in 2018. I pay for the ad free episodes, not because the ads bother me but because if you like things you have to support them. Thank you for putting out quality content. Iāll continue to support for the foreseeable future.

Morgana the FeyMy favoriteHi! ( I know you like when people say Hi!) Your podcast is my favorite! I listen to everything you put out! I feel like you should dictate everything! I would pay more attention to textbooks and other books if you read them!

Lady GisellExceptionalI have been listening to your podcast since 2019. You have kept me captivated with each episode. You really put so much thought into the show. The musical score, the narration, and details. It doesnāt compare to other podcasts. I appreciate that you get right into the episodes and to be honest even the ads arenāt a big deal to listen to, Thank you!

davisrickeyl187@gmailLore PodcastIāve been following and listening since Jan of 2019.I love the writing, the Presentation and appreciate the in - depth details. It takes a village to Research each episode,This Lore/Cabinet of curiosity Team is best of the best- very professional, you will love this series if you like the dark side of The worlds Massive history, not just the headlinesāā The background music is spot on! Give it a whirl- See what you think for yourself, you wonāt be disappointed .

BellasweetWAAAAY TOO MANY ADS!!!I iāve been a subscriber of this podcast for many years. However, lately, the ads are just about as long as the program. Iām not willing to pay for a subscription on a monthly basis to can get rid of ads. So, Iām getting rid of this podcast.

Fredonia93Grim & MildHas there ever been a podcast production company with the most perfect description of the content. I find this podcast comforting, to be honest. The voice and pacing are perfect- as if being read a bedtime story.
-
German23GirlLove this Podcast butā¦I was very impressed and quite entertained when I found this podcast and others from Aaron Mahnke. Being a bit a history junkie, the Grim & Mild collection is fabulous. The reason for only 3 stars is that, without warning, now I would have to pay for the episodes that I was getting as āa loyal listener.ā Not the best reward for being a loyal listener, liking, and followingā¦
-
BegownWell researched and very enjoyableAlso love how the 1 star reviews all seem to be eitherāLore is too wokeā or āLore is too Euro-centric and whiteā. Canāt win I guess.
-
Jacqui O TroublePretty darn goodWorth a listen if you like the darker side of thingsā¦

K WinkMeticulously researched and well thought outMany episodes of LORE are stories you've heard before or are at least aware of, but with much less emphasis on "ghost stories" and more on the actual history of each place, person, or event. Aaron leaves out many of the more gory details, which often lets your imagination fill in the blanks. While there are many different styles of LORE episodes, I think the general takeaway from many of them can be summed up by Nietzsche when he said "Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster..."

Sarah603208Great podcastLove this podcast, itās historical and sometimes a little creepy. Aaronās voice is so soothing
-
BSamuraiI love Lore!Hi! I love Legends and the original show. Definitely look forward to every episode every week. Keep it up!

sweet0126652&9763As good as it gets!If you want to know how a podcast should be done, here it is. Unbelievable the amount of content he has put out over the years and he continues! Production, music, and effects, the voiceā¦ clear, clean, puts you right there and never fails to entertain and educate even! The crazy thing too is they never stop! The other mini pods and Bridgewater is something else you all need to make sure and check out if you like this but want a scripted out story!

Jaren5dConsistentPodcast come and go in my life but Lore has been the one that is a constant in my library. Not only entertaining but informative.
-
Nevpaurion9An absolute must listen, and a great patreon!Lore has for years been one of the best regularly compelling podcasts Iāve heard. The stories are expertly crafted, the telling by Aaron has a great pace and the right amount of reverence for the topic mixed with levity when it makes sense, and itās one of the most rewarding patreon subscriptions out there. Give it a try!

Myrab51Family FavoriteMy husband and 20 something daughter listen to Lore with me whenever we are all in the car together or when we are all hanging out before bed. Itās the one podcast that all three of us enjoy. Sometimes itās a little dark and spooky. Itās always interesting. I appreciate Aaronās narration style and delivery format.

AbrasroseAll Roads Lead to Witch HuntsThis is your podcast if you canāt get enough witch trial stories. Witch trials in England, France, US, Spain, etc. They are, not surprisingly, pretty much the same with a few different details. Itās hard to tell why thereās so much repetition. At this point Iām over it and just donāt download those episodes. Update: since this review Iāve skipped approximately five episodes. Idk what Aaron Mankeās obsession with witch trials is, but itās getting very repetitive. Maybe heās interested in the tiny differences between the stories, but they all sound the same to me. I guess the names of the victims and the authorities change, but otherwise the stories are all the same.
-
kelsysopranoToo hard to listen toā¦not for the reason you thinkI love these sorts of stories and shows but the one thing that stopped be from listening to this podcast for more than an episode was the hostās voice. Every tale is spoken as if it was AI generated. Its terrible.
-
Jake LaRueMore woke by the episodeI like to play āWoke Bingoā - I can usually cover my squares titled āIndigenous Peoplesā, āEnslaved Personsā, and, of course, any same sex relationship is a bonus square. Aaron mustāve hired several new employees whose only job is to cram these references into every episode, often without context or reason. Yes, we know āIndigenous Peoplesā lived here before the evil white man arrived. We donāt need to hear about it as you describe a ghost story about a hotel. #noconnection
-
Southern Wild HareSavannah Georgia episodeAs a South Georgia native, I loved listening to the episode pertaining to Savannah Georgia! We have such rich history. Great job covering the story! I would love to hear more.
-
greycatdotLove all the spookyLove the stories. Love the music. Only criticism: Definitely need to branch out to other cultures like Dana does on Noble Blood. I loved the Djinn pod. Also: Hi!

ššToo Euro-/Anglo-American focusedThis podcast was once pretty good, but he hasnāt bothered broadening his knowledge. The content has become boring and samey by not going global. Thereās so much lore in the world other than Europe and white America!!
-
Duty iffyExcellent detailI really enjoy Lore. Nice detail and depth in story telling. The North Carolina episode is great coming from that state it all rang very true!

JoyfulunwisdomWell-done but super depressingāThis historic place has been said to have ghosts!ā Ooh! Fun! āBecause twelve children were strangled to death there.ā Oh. Thatās sad. Tell me more about spooky gho- āTheir entrails were strung through the trees. Some say you can still hear them screaming.ā Thatās horrible. āReady for more spooky fun??? This next one is about a farmer who murdered his family and then hung himself!! Woohoo!!ā No, Iām good. Iām gonna go stare into the middle distance and try not to become depressed and angry at the world.

Lore is funLove itLove this podcast helps my day all the time
-
ShadywoodeGrimā¦.Loved all the early stuff. Business model changed. Now itās ads, walls and virtue signaling. Lots of virtue signaling. Aaron has hit all the low hanging fruit of folklore and recycles the crap out of it.
