The Mismatch is definitely the most consistently good basketball podcast out right now. I wish Bill had KOC and Verno more on his pods because I admire the energy of the Mismatch. Very funny and a good listen everytime.

Been a long time listener and was on the fence actually with these guys but their chemistry has grown and it’s really worth the listen. KOC is such an excellent and brilliant analyst, it’s always great to hear his breakdowns. Verno can ramble a bit at times but his old school thoughts do have merit. Give them a shot! Keep it up guys! BLOW IT UP

As a life long bulls fan since 01 it is a nightmare to be a fan of this team. I purposefully have not watched a bulls game for 2+ years 5+ million fans. 3rd biggest market yet never any interest in competing or winning. Just money. F the reisendorfs

These guys are entertaining and informative on nba, despite demonstrable recorded evidence they are losers.

I think they have phenomenal chemistry. Great takes and Verno helps KOC stay grounded and vice versa. Great Pod!!

Still entertained by Verno… KOC used to be too nice about everything but then listened to the comments too much and is way too hard and extreme that he comes across as petty. I don’t have time for that.

That’s true, That might be true, That’s Ridiculous is not an interesting game. Only outrageous things or obvious things fit into that’s true or that’s ridiculous. And almost anything worth discussing will fall into That Might Be True. Making it just boring or not revealing. Everything else is great.

I love the dynamics these 2 share. I appreciate Verno’s takes that don’t always follow the typical groupthink. It may lead to some mean tweets and bad reviews, but I’m 100% sure he can handle it. He’s right more often than not. KOC really does a great job of sharing meaningful data to the conversation. All in all, great show. Love listening during the season!

This is my go to basketball podcast content. I love the back-and-forth and bickering. The occasional arguing and Grizzlies-bias is fun, as I feel too many basketball podcasts are straight-forward and boring. Keep it up Vernone and Kevin O’Cranky!

Best basketball podcast out there. Verno’s blatant Grizzlies homerism and KOC’s absurd over valuing of the newest shiny object are just minor bumps in the road. Both are insightful with respect to all things basketball and have a great rapport.

I really love Kevin’s coverage but Verno is bordering on insufferable. I want to like him but just cant find the right excuses. Stopped listening.

Verno makes a good point once or twice a week but other than those he just sounds like an old man yelling at clouds. Most boring old head in the media world

2 stars for the weird Embiid hate on this week’s episode. Would have been 1 star but strangely enough I give Verno credit for being one of the few media members to say out loud that they just don’t like Embiid. The extra star is for being honest at least.

The NBA doesn’t need another hot-take artist. Kevin’s criticisms sometimes get completely out of line and are unprofessional.

Chris continues to victim blame whenever an incident takes place. I can’t listen and support until Chris grows up.

I’ve been listening for a while and I love 80% of most episodes and 100% of KOC. Unfortunately, Verno is getting worse with his straw-man rants. He often yells “YOU SAID <insert statement>” when, in fact, it was never said. I understand the hosts are long time friends and straw-man arguments are sometimes fun over a beer with your buddies but they are getting to be too much on this pod. Haven’t unsubscribed yet but I think the day is coming.

Great NBA basketball podcast! For the real NBA fans.

Been a fan since ‘16, it’s all fun and games until the Grizzlies have gotten somewhat good. Chris can’t stand any negative commentary on anything Grizzlies related, the only content you ever here from him is when he sees a team roll through Memphis home arena. It’s honestly pretty sad Kevin has to work with Vernon who is obviously a lot less knowledgeable on the whole NBA instead of focusing on one team.

Chris Vernon is decent, I struggle to make it through any podcast featuring Kevin O’Connor.

This pod was good about 3 years ago, but the more you listen, the more you realize how much this show is just homerism and reinforcing their own bad takes. The analysis is lazy, shallow, and often wrong. The hosts themselves have weird views (look at KOC’s twitter) and they have weird agendas that they push incessantly. If only they were as funny as they think they are, the show would be bearable. Kevin O’Connor is washed.

He’s a hot take know it all who is running all over KOC who is actually trying to have a conversation. I’m sure he’s feeling great that he gets under KOC’s skin but between his voice and his volume and wanting to pick a fight, it’s time to head out When KOC rigthfully pointed out that AD is a complete overrated slouch this season, Vernon rattled off his seasons average as defining proof that Davis wasn’t a problem. Watching AD play you can see that he’s a half step behind on every play. Davis was 8-18 last night against a small team. He has been crap since the his February return. But when KOC props LeBron Verno calls his 27 ppg an empty stat and box score filling

Absolutely love the show & look forward to it each Tuesday and Friday. Chris Vernon: this recent episode Verno goes on an insane and completely false diatribe about the poor guys who play with LeBron & how it’s his fault and not theirs that they get blamed for not being better. Kyrie never sniffed the playoffs before LeBron & has proved nothing without him; AD made it to the second round in the playoffs and did nothing else & I bet $ he does nothing without LeBron. Those guys have more credit then they deserve because of LeBron, he made them champions. Without LeBron, Kyrie would be a flashy ball handler and scorer a la Bradley Beal, and AD would be a solid big man a la Al Horford (without his 3pt shooting anymore). Also, Verno is mad LeBron is going to play in the All-Star game, but he’s hurt and sitting out recent games. The All-Star game is all about the pageantry of the NBA, and barely anything to do with playing a basketball game. You want these guys not to load manage but get mad that LeBron, as the face of the NBA, knows he needs to put up a couple shots in an All-Star game maybe play 5 minutes and make an appearance. GET IT TOGETHER VERNO and be better! Finally as a Lakers Fan, AD has been bad recently. Vernon is box score watching and not watching the games, which historically is not his style, and defending AD (again as a defense against his LeBron issues) Disappointing. Watch the games please before you stand on a soap box for a guy.

Reluctant caveat: Five star podcast. KOC & Verno have been the best basketball podcast for years, consistently putting out wildly entertaining, analytical content even through the Januarys of the season. ***THAT. SAID.*** Verno’s recent unhinged (and frankly, medically concerning) anti-LeBron rant following the egregious, instantly self-acknowledged non-call on LeBron that inarguably tipped the hugely pivotal game to the undeserving, media-coddled Celtics was simply shameful and, dare I say, more Bill Simmons than even Bill Simmons has Bill Simmonsed. G Just gross. His failure to acknowledge the game’s contextual significance as a nationally-televised, massively culturally-impactful, season-momentum-swinging rivalry showdown AND yet another non-call in the paint against “no-flop LeBron” was one of the most flagrant and disgraceful exhibits of sports punditry our previously beautiful, untarnished sport has ever endured. I used to love this show but KOC is the worst. Wish verno could get his own pod like KOC is on 3 different shows I need verno to be on a different show so I can still listen to him. He is the only reason I listen to the pod I constantly have to skip past Kevin’s part.

The best ‘basketball talk’ show in the podsphere. Good chemistry, good observations, good conversations. There is nothing to fix on this show; it fires on all cylinders, all the time.

I been listening to this podcast for a while now and I assumed Chris Vernon was black. 😂😂😂😂 I have no idea why I think it’s just his voice, so I was very surprised when I googled him 😂😂😂. The name The Mismatch is as accurate as it is a misnomer. While different in philosophies, outgoingness, and thoughts on where the Memphis Grizzlies will finish in rankings, KOC and Verno are perfectly matched when it comes to producing and dynamic, thoughtful, and engaging podcast about basketball and the NBA, with hilarious references to the larger culture as a whole. Both authentic, KOC provides a personable, insightful personality that is ever-transparent and missing from media! Verno can be equally as personable and provides a structure to the podcast that is needed. The Perfect Match!
