I have always been a big fan of the tv show, so when I found this format I instantly added it to my rotation. The stories are well told, with good pacing in each episode. I like to listen to the podcast and then find the episode to watch on Peacock to see if the people look like what I imagined when listening. This is a great podcast to listen to if you are a true crime junkie like myself.

As a final product, does anyone in management listen to the podcast even before it is ready for airtime? The announcer’s voice is clear and concise. Everyone else is almost impossible to understand. Their voices sound like they are a tunnel and lots of background noise then throw in some lousy “music?”. Why isn’t the sound quality checked? After all this is audio not video. At least with video you have the option of closed captioning. Not a quality product. Stories are good, just not worth the hassle.

I do enjoy the podcast, not just for the great content but for personal reasons as well. My cousin was on the original tv show, season 2 episode 1. Keep it up!!

The title of the episode was Sandra Jonas. The entire episode was about Lori Bembenek , except for the last few seconds. What happened?

Title says Sandra Jonas but episode content is a different story then it ends with an update about the titled subject. Poor editing and very confusing for listeners.

I’m a big fan of the original series and the podcast. It’s a point of irritation that so many of the episode titles don’t match the actual episode. It’s confusing, especially when the whole episode is about someone other than the person on the title, until the very last sentence spoken which tells us that the actual person in the title spent 20 years in prison, blah blah blah. This is an ongoing issue. You have the resources to do better. So fix it.

Hey so the context and content is great . Interviews are awesome and having key detectives speak : bonus . Just get rid of the background goofy music ! It’s not dateline . Don’t speak like a coached brainwashed journalist. I will listen because you have great cases . But sparingly because the use of exaggerated music is distracting and insulting in a way to the these sensitive situations

The podcast is well done but the background noise is just too much. Loud and obnoxious music and sounds often override the narration. Just too annoying and distracting to listen to. This podcast is a no-go for me.

This used to be a five star show but for some reason they changed narrators recently and the new narrator thinks she’s hosting the 5 o’clock news or something I don’t like her and I probably will stop listening to the show just because of that bring back the old person or find someone that is worth a flip

I can’t even listen because the narrator is so awful. Her incessant rhetorical questions and weird annunciation or random words are like nails on a chalk board.

I literally cannot with this podcast. Every 15 minutes it plays the exact same long winded ad over and over and over and over and over and over. Every so often I come back to this podcast like, hey why did I ever stop listening to it, and then within a few hours I remember. Oh yeah. They play the exact same ad over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Unsubscribing so I never fall back into this podcast and I will never play the stupid June detective I-don’t-give-F game I’ve heard about 45 times today.

I live true crime. I stopped watching snapped because of the narrators voice and the way she talks. It’s so strange. I just tried listening to a podcast episode and I can’t get through it.

The loud commercials make it very hard to listen to these podcasts at my favorite time of day, which is as I’m trying to go to sleep. Also, the titles give away who the killer is, and there are even episodes now where the “women who kill” turn out to be men. Egregious.

Report volume issue to FCC. Audio levels legally have to be the same between program and commercials. Sadly, unless reported, it won’t get fixed.

How hard is it to put the proper title with an episode? Seen it many times where the people listed in the title of the episode doesn’t match the people the podcast episode is about.

I’m here with everyone else who finds the commercials normal levels of volume only for the show to be way too low. I suppose if they’re trying to have you experience the reality of the television show with the commercials blasting your ears and terrifying you, then … mad success. That aside, it’s a fine true crime podcast. It’s like Dateline in that it’s the television episodes, audio only, and I listen to them when I’m falling asleep (so who knows how any of them end) or while I’m doing busy work. The narrator is no Keith Morrison, I’ll say that, but it fills the void between Dateline episodes.

The actual podcast of the stories are not loud enough….especially when connected to cars Bluetooth but the commercials are SUPER LOUD. can you please fix that and maybe limit the commercials.

If you’re the podcast, no. If you’re the commercial, (too) loud and clear. Please fix the audio. The podcast itself is way too low but if you turn up the volume enough to actually hear it, the commercials will burst your eardrums! I listen to around 20 podcasts a week and this is the only one that seems to have these issues.

This podcast is literally the television episode just audio only. I’ve watched so many of these episodes and the audio has not changed at all from the actual show. I do agree with the commercials being louder than the actual episodes. That’s my biggest issue with this podcast. But for those saying it’s a AI narrator.. I’m sure it is … but it’s the same one as the show 😂

So far I’ve listened to one episode (the most recent), and I swear they’re using an AI voice for the narrator. It’s pretty bad. The rest of the episode is put together well (seemingly without the volume issues many other reviews reference), so I’ll keep trying to listen.

The episodes are SUPER low whereas the commercials are so loud and jarring.
