Update: I truly think Femi has come a long way and I am enjoying him (especially since he hasn’t mentioned Fields and Lance as actual NFL players lately). This pod is still the only I never miss and I have turned a ton of people onto it. Original: Since I discovered this podcast about three years I have never missed an episode. I agree with Mr. Lombardi about 95% of the time because he does something I always stress to people; watch the game with your own eyes not your ears. He is extremely intelligent and quotes so many people and sources. His business acumen is very bang on. I love the fact he was in the league and explains how the game is really viewed behind the scenes. The only criticism I currently have is that Femi seriously needs to go away. He has no clue whatsoever about what he’s talking about. H is always lost and can’t understand 80% of what Mr. Lombardi is saying. Examples are he bet Trey Lance to be MVP. Dude he is essentially a rookie. Name the last rookie to win it all. He just follows the crowd not reality. Once this guy is replaced (even by a ham sandwich) the better off we’ll all be.

I have listens to Mike for years since his days on fox. I listened to his appearance on the Bill Simmons podcast that was a free flowing conversation. On his own show it feels limited by a clock I don’t understand why it feels like you are always up against a clock. Please allow the show to breath

Love Lombardi but seriously…Hayden Hooker. His name is Hendon Hooker. Show some respect for the man. Do enough research to at least get his name right.

Mike’s mom would be ashamed. This grandpa started off great, but now swears more than literally any other football personality out there. He probably thinks it makes him Tony Soprano. And his sidekicks can be knowledgeable, but he makes them all laugh at his stupid tirades. All that smarts and football knowledge wrapped up in a big ball of overinflated ego. What a waste.

How can you not talk about Tua malpractice and franchise management executed by Dolphins. NFL insider ? Yup Inside the circle of wagons

Adnan is a real pro. Don’t really care what happened at ESPN. He’s a great broadcaster and host. Teaming him with Lombardi is a waste of his talent. Lombardi is like that recycled NFL coach that keeps going from team to team and you wonder why do people keep hiring him. Doesn’t matter I guess because he won’t last long before he decides he needs to move on when he gets bored. Doesn’t take long before the same 5 Godfather, Al Davis & Springsteen anecdotes grow old and annoying in a hurry. Lombardi is just a consolidating search engine for old NFL cliches. Nothing new or original. Just recycled jargon he claims as his own or whatever his sons leak to him or what Bill Belichek tells him to think

Michael is the best. Period.

I give your show 5 maple leafs. Absolutely must listen, adnan you are so well spoken and knowledgeable and mike you bring the football experience from the inside. You both are also very entertaining too so I never miss it. I turned my Rabbi on to it and he loves it too!!! JS Hamilton

I’m not a podcast guy and I rarely post reviews but Michael and AD knock this out of the park every single week. Today’s episode with wild card teams as The Godfather and Sopranos characters was some of the most entertaining stuff I’ve heard in a long while and absolutely hilarious! Wish we could see you guys on YouTube sometime. Keep up the great shows, gents!

Both Lombardi and Virk are quite good. Lombardi’s experience as an NFL executive helps provide great perspective on board room and personnel moves My only criticism is they focus far too much on Tampa Bay, New England, Dallas, Philly and the two New Jersey teams. There are 32 teams in the league, but you’d never know.

I like Adnan a lot and have watched him for a while since his start on the score here in Toronto, but this doesn’t suit him. He really doesn’t add much and sounds like he’s recording in a tin can with all the echo

Great to hear honest analysis with no fear of being wrong, so rare to stick your neck out with a opinion. I love Adnan, miss you so much from your Golic and Wingo/Mike and Mike days!! You were the best host they ever had!

Lombardi is an “insider” and opinionated and so his thoughts can be interesting. But he needs to be challenged when he says dumb stuff eg rationalizing the stupidity of Bill O’Brien and his selective scolding of “bias” (bad for Patricia but not applicable for O’Brien ???) Virk should be playing that “honest broker” role but is more like Ed McMahon laughing at Carson’s jokes - Virk needs to go to make this worthwhile listening to consistently.

40% less same movie references would go a long way. We get it, you guys like the Irishman.

I often like to listen to the show in the car with my young kids and I personally would love a “clean” show. Get Lombardi on the Adam Carrolla show to promote it as more people need to know about it!! It has also saved me time as I have stopped listening to other football podcasts as they don’t compare.
