    Perfection in a Podcast
I was at a recent charity golf tournament, and one of my playing partners was wearing some merch with a logo I had never seen before. “What’s LGLG?”, I asked him. He goes on to tell me the premise of this podcast and how he now does a podcast about the podcast. That night, on my drive home from Austin to San Antonio I started the first season. I was immediately hooked and thought to myself, it’s like me and my friends decided to start a podcast. Now finished with the first season, I can imagine there are so many that have been listening to the show for years that wish they could go back and listen for the first time. I had that privilege and I can’t wait to go through six more seasons. Great job boys! “Let’s go, let’s go!”

    Season 7 ep 1
I have listened to this show from the beginning and it is amazing, inspiring, relatable and hilarious. I am a member of the Velcren and heard the Carl Weathers interview right after it aired and it was one of the most motivational interviews I’ve heard. The ending to this first episode gave me those same feelings, rooting for you guys even though I’m in Mississippi and Lenny did leave the after credit audio of y’all saying you don’t want to have to come down here

    Golf and friendship
I tuned into this because I love golf and heard good things, but it’s really a podcast about friendship. Love hearing the dramatic scorecard readings. And Mike and Eli got me hooked on Yoga with Adrienne.

    Im so hooked!
Just recently heard about this pod on Reddit, and ever since the first episode im hooked! This is all i listen to now. All my previous podcasts are on the back burner until i get caught up with chasing scratch. Its hilarious and relatable for anyone who plays golf.

    You can relate
This is hands-down, the best Golf podcast there is for every aspiring golfer, hacker, wanna be PGA player, weekend warrior you can relate to the struggles of Eli and Mike as they try to get the scratch. It’s an emotional roller coaster that will have you cheering and crying and then cheering some more. They are golf buddies in a podcast form. 11 stars

Good to hear almost normal friends discuss their golf games.
My son told me about this podcast and I started with season 1. I am on season 7, finally caught up, and really enjoy it. As a listener, I have been trying to improve my own golf game and love hearing all the different people discuss golf in such a humorous manner. I am a Polar Bear supporter. If you listen you will know. Let’s Go! Let’s Go.

    Awesome. Fun. Carl Weathers.
Love these dudes. Just got goosebumps listening and decided to write a review. With all the PGA/LIV nonsense going on, it’s nice to have something relatable and that radiates the pure joy and insanity that is golf for the rest of us.

    My favorite podcast
I started my golf journey in early 2023 and found this pod shortly after. I love listening to these guys so much I am on my second time through. Kudos lglg

Had me at “shaky 11 handicap”
As someone in their mid 30s with a shaky 11 handicap, this podcast spoke to me. I started with seasons 5 and 6, but I wish I had gone back to the beginning. Now that I’m on season 1, I finally know what OFP means. Seriously though, start from the beginning, you won’t regret it.

The slippery slope claims another golf pod
The early seasons are great, but now it’s like the fire is out. When golf actually does come up the guys can’t put two sentences together without going off the rails with an inside joke or pop culture reference. Sadly the show seems to have lost its soul. Kudos on the success and cheers to the journey.

    Let’s go Let’s go
Just started the Pod, I blinked and now I’m in season 3. Love it, but my wife and three teenage kids hate it, so kudos to you both and Craigers/Craiggers. My goal for 2024 is to break 80 for the first time ever and then do so regularly. SA

    Goodbye TRESemmé
I’m a 5 HCP in my late thirties who has been listening to this show for the last 6 years, and I can honestly say my receding hairline and burgeoning bald spot has never had more volume after applying Eli’s advice on nixing shampoo. Would HIGHLY recommend buying all the snake oil products on their website.

And I definitely can’t tell the difference between Mike and Eli, but it doesn’t matter. This is such an entertaining and informative podcast for the mid- to late-30s golfer with a similar dream.

    Stern+SmartLess+Rotella rolled into one!
What an amazing Pod! Funny, reflective, instructive and inspiring. I’m a 14 trying to get to single digit. You bring the reality of the journey - the work, heartbreak and f word to life. I feel like this has helped my game, my swing and my mental gymnastics more than you know. Started with season 6. Can’t wait to go back to season 1! Thank u for all!!!

Frankly, it’s just a different sensation
I now have a 9 month old and a 2.5 yr old. I get to play wayyyyy less and the HC reflects it. This pod keeps my love and joy for the game alive through the doldrums between playing rounds. Tip of the cap to you, my friends.

First 2 Seasons were great. Now it’s mostly Titleist content.
These guys constantly eat while talking during the podcast. No one wants to listen to you eat or talk over your food. Loved listening to two guys talk about their golf game and how hard it is to get better. That’s changed since they landed a sponsorship with titleist. They still have the occasional authentic moment, but not enough for me to keep listening anymore.

Don’t recall where I heard about the podcast, but was looking for something to get me through some long flights, since I was caught up on my regulars. Got hooked immediately. Mike/Eli and the cast of characters they’ve brought along on this journey have made for some great laughs and a few swing changes. Highly recommended for any golfer who takes the game seriously and not so seriously. Hashtag team Polar Bear.

    Highly entertaining and relatable
Stumbled across this podcast somehow a couple of months ago, and I have already binged all six seasons and caught up to the latest episode. These guys are so relatable. Their ability to feed off each other is remarkable for an entertaining podcast. The resources they have developed over the six seasons makes it a must listen for busy golfers wanting to improve. They take you through the highs and lows that all of us “regular” people face when you really want to be competitive but just don’t have as much time to devote as you would like. I appreciate you both making my extremely boring commute through south central Kansas and north central Oklahoma much more enjoyable each week!

    Fun and frustrating
Just discovered this pod last week and already finished season 1 Funny, helpful, interesting and sometimes informative. Wish I found this sooner, so many things I find myself telling them while riding in the car. Great to get into the minds of someone else and find out more of what people focus on in the game. Can’t believe there are 6 seasons. Going to be a fun and frustrating listen over the next few months

    Serenity Now!
It took about 5 minutes for me to know this podcast was GOLD. I’m only 5 eps in but the binge is on. Very laid back but organized at the same time. Mike and Eli are relatable, vulnerable, and just real dudes that I could easily see myself riding along with.

    Sad Day
Great podcast that I discovered a mere two months ago. I’ve been listening nearly everyday and just this morning ran out of episodes and have caught up to present. Thankfully I can now begin listening to Tuesdays Have No Feel till the next episode comes out. LGLG.

    Mike + Eli = 0.0. LG LG
Love the podcast boys!, I’ve been through the entire catalogue twice and I’m going on the third go around…. There’s so much hilarious content and I can’t believe the opportunities you guys have stumbled into…. I don’t know if it would be better to hear Carl on the podcast someday or one of you shooting an even or under par round. Thanks for the smiles! I’m naming my next dog Ramsey, he’ll of course be an Egyptian Basenji.

    I just, i dunno
I started in March and now I’m all caught up. What an i supposed to do now!? Wait a WEEK?? WEEKLY?? Guess I’ll just have to throw on my vuori shorts and some goodr’s, go outside and scream @sun. See y’all next time you’re in Austin. Kudos to you both!

These guys are hilarious and the stories they share are so relatable.

    Now I’m a Titleist guy!
Loving this podcast! I didn’t even realize when I bought my new irons recently that Titleist’s sponsorship is certainly part of what helped convert me from a Callaway guy. Podcast is fun and relaxed and real.

    Great podcast
I found this podcast from a comment on the Sweet Spot podcast. This year I’ve committed to focusing and lowering my golf game to sub 90 and I feel like I’m on the same journey with them. Just finished season 1 and the content and humor are top notch. Excited to keep listening and catch up on their progress.
  • Powboom4421
These guys are men of the people. One of us! One of us!
Such relatable content with Chasing Scratch lol. These guys are funny, down to earth and remind me of my own friends. Great listen for the golfer that knows the struggle of the game.
  • HulkXD
    Smart, thoughtful, well-produced, and relatable
Boys, this was recommended to me by a friend from Sevierville and I am sad I just started listening. You aren’t LIKE my friends and I, you ARE my friends and I. I really feel like we’d all be best friends if we knew each other. I’ve played Gibson Bay a few times when I was in Richmond for police training and conferences. As the title states, it’s funny, smart, relatable, and has a high production quality. Thank you for documenting this journey.

    Love the process but…
I love the process but, make a note that we are not all in on your inside jokes. Just give us the meat of the podcast!

    Late To The Game
Somehow I missed you guys when you first started your chase. This week I suspended all listening of my normal sports talk stations and usual PODS and binged on season 1. You guys were easy to relate to and the great camaraderie between you two makes it an easy listen. So much I could say about Season 1, but that would take too much time. I’m on to Season 2. I’m going to listen in order and not sneak ahead to see where you are now #keepupthechase

    I love this podcast!
From the 90’s pop culture references to the real struggles that us amateurs face, this show holds my interest for hours at a time. Good job Mike and Eli!

    Season 6
After being a dedicated listener for six seasons I can honestly say this is my favorite podcast. I play golf, but it is not my primary hobby. The podcast is extremely funny, entertaining, and informative. The only critique I have, is that after this last episode, “The 2nd realization.” It may be time for a name change. Possibly Breaking 80, or chasing 70’s. In all seriousness, let’s go let’s go. You guys can do this.
  • Jb1026111
    Simply Awesome
Mike and Eli are amazing. From their epic movie references to their headcase thoughts. They are the every men on the golf course that you just wanna hang out with. I will be a listener till the end!

    Authentic. Inspiring. Educational. Funny.
LOVE the authenticity, reflection, humility, wisdom, humor, and transparency of this podcast. My personal favorite podcast. These guys are on an incredible journey in golf and life. Such a beautiful game and they capture the beauty and spirit of the golfer’s lifelong journey so well. Keep fighting. LGLG

    Compadres
These two are wonderful. I too am an obsessed golfer. I’ve been playing a little over 8 years and I’m always searching for the divine answer to my game. I’m chasing single digit handicap, (I’m really old). I wish I had someone to dive into the minutia with. Your season 5 Playing episode is terrific. Thank you for your shared obsession. I work at a virtual golf center all fall, winter, and spring, to be able to play and at a course a couple days a week in the summer. They aren’t even my real job as a teacher.
  • Billcop72
    Keep Chasing
I play golf with my buddies and more accurately against my brother, who recommended me the podcast, and we are all very similar to these guys. We have our own golf terminology, we all are trying to get better but go back and forth, and we love golf. These guys are soo relatable and I love the podcast. Keep making the shows and we will keep Chasing Scratch!!
  • JobuRummy
    Absolutely Great
Just got back into the game after 15 years off. A friend recommended the show and I’ve been binging ever since. Fun golf content, but even better banter. The “pulls” from Austin powers, Old School, Big Lebowski, Wedding Crashers, etc. are gold.

    Young guns
Although i may be one of the proud and few younger listeners here (im 21) this podcast makes my stomach hurt from laughing to much. When the days comes that mike and Eli shoot attach golf i will be driving to Netflix HQ to demand a docu series on these two. Lglg
  • Josephmeister
    C’mon, Rick!
I really enjoy this podcast. From the golf to the movie quotes, TV quotes and more. Very entertaining. I want to hang out with these guys. I wish I had this much fun and played this much golf.
  • RunSaquanRun
    Relatable to now unrelatable
The pod started out as two average dudes trying to get better. Loved it!!!!! Total insanity and hilarious. Even told my golf coach about it so he could understand the brain of amateurs. (Think Velcro episode) Now they are getting custom fittings at titelist, vokey wedge fittings, weekly golf lessons, have sponsors and it isn’t relatable as it was. The journey isn’t the same anymore. They spend episodes pushing products, which I understand….. gotta make a profit for your time. Just a major change from when they started. The spin-off podcast is typical like other pods who started for a specific reason. Reaching. Still a good listen, but not what it once was. They have their faithful who fall at their feet and put the p&$&y on a pedestal. Feels like the soul of this pod is different or they sold out or something.
  • Lumber07
    More golf content please
This used to be my favorite podcast but over the past few seasons they have cut the golf content in half. Now the majority of the podcast is dedicated to exercise/nutritional discussion, talk about club fittings and specs (boring for those of us who are not gear-heads) and thinly veiled plugs for whatever product du jour they are using. The talk about actual golf is still enjoyable- too bad it only comprises about 15 minutes of each podcast. What’s a guy got to do to get a dramatic scorecard reading or two???

Binged all seasons in 4 months…LG LG!!
a friend recommended this to me a few months ago and i was hooked! binged all seasons in four months and am fully caught up now. love the entertainment and humor but also love the serious golf stuff too! because of chasing scratch, i’m working with golf specific physical therapists and going to hire jayson nickols as my golf coach and i’ve got a carl weathers leaning center setup in my house. i’m a 5 handicapper and have been as low as a plus 1 but i’m ready to get down there again! great job mike and eli, bringing all that smoke!! lg lg!!

    Great stories
Great golf podcast and some jokes :-)
  • Everett Eaves
    The Best
This is the only podcast I make time for: relatable golf, classic 90s references, silliness, real friendship on display. I’m fully invested. Mike and Eli could fold right into our group from college. Should have written a review months ago.
  • Sly lefty
    Love love love this
I’m only through season one episode nine, but if you’re a golfer, this is a must listen. This is so fun and so well done. I tried this once as well. I can tell you it takes many years for most to make the changes necessary to become a true, scratch golfer.
