    Helpful in understanding AI
Great discussions of the benefits and risks at this interesting point in time. I’d like more discussion of the theft of IP from human creators to train the AI. Also, I find the snapping fingers at the end of every conversational segment to be off putting.

    A must listen for… anyone!
A thoughtful, critical and insightful show on the relationship between us humans and our technology. A must listen.

Podcast is creepy and low quality because of where its funding comes from
I listened to this and wondered how such poor speakers and thinkers ended up with the status they have, so I looked into it. It’s because a) one of the hosts has a famous father and b) they are funded by George Soros. The latter explains why the show sounds less like a normal podcast and more like a bizarrely inept pitch for dystopian regulation.

    Really insightful and hands-on show
I’m a big fan of Tristan’s work, we need it to avoid catastrophic consequences of unregulated tech for our society. Must listen for all tech entrepreneurs and politicians.

Inside The First AI Insight Forum in Washington
If this is important why do we need a "soundtrack" like this is an episode of This American Life ? Why are you putting music in this story? Why manipulate the mood? 8 min 17 seconds into the show?

    Required Listening
While this information may be disturbing or shocking to some who have been too busy doom scrolling this podcast should be on everyone’s Must Listen List. Personally I’m firmly in the “we are all doomed” camp, but it gives me a flicker of hope to hear talk about ways to improve things. I do wish they didn’t go so easy on Elon Musk, he is nothing more than a billionaire.

    The podcast for our times
This podcast is mandatory listening for anyone living through the onrushing technological upheavals of the 21st century, and it will not waste your time. Our modern lives rely on technology companies that in no way have our best interests at heart. Tristan, Aza, and their guests reveal the extent of that disinterest in chilling detail, as well as possible solutions. This podcast substantively shifted how I think about the world and my life’s work. Highly recommend!

Essential listening, but a recent turn towards hyperbole
The Center for Humane Tech is one of the most valuable projects in existence, and Tristan Harris and Aza Raskin are superb spokesmen. To my mind, this podcast is the best on the platform. The conversations are vitally important. My only critique is about AI. To hear the way Tristan and Aza talk about AI, you’d think it was 6-12 months ahead of where it is. I think their concern and alarm is justified, but I wish they would confine their reporting to what is strictly true and stay away from exaggerations. Most recently, they represented autoGPTs as being far more capable and threatening than they currently are. I think this is misleading and not very helpful to the listener.

    An important and interesting podcast
These two guys really know their stuff. Their credibility in the technology field is beyond question. They raise crucially important issues for anybody who believes we should be thoughtful about how we use and regulate technology, and not just let private companies unleash it upon us. Listen to it — and then share it with everyone you know.

A note of concern regarding the psychedelics episode
I love the show, and up until this episode on psychedelics, haven’t had anything but praise. I just recently listened to the Cover Story/Power Trip podcast episodes and was saddened to hear that the abuse that goes on in the culty religious circles (that I happen to come from) seem to be going on in the world of psychedelics. If those stories and reporting are true, MAPS really needs to nip that stuff in the bud and make sure this research isn’t built on an abusive infrastructure, and people need to ask hard questions and not just get caught up in the moment of thinking psychedelics are the magic key and anyone bringing up negative stuff or questions is harming the broader picture. For example, in the Southern Baptist Convention they suppressed the stories of the abused because it would harm the church’s ability to reach people and save souls. These leaders work was more important than the abuse victims. MAPS and their work is not more important than the people being harmed by abusive therapists. I feel like there should have been some harder questions in this interview, and not just amplification and definitely a warning to accompany info on how to participate in the therapeutic research.

    Stop every/anything and tune-in!!!
I’ve been listening for a while now and literally just realized how much I look forward to new episodes. The information and, best of all, the solutions we gain each episode gives me hope for the future of society (especially the youth and younger developing minds)!

    Save us!
Over privileged spoiled brats completely disconnected from reality whom would save the world if we would only make them the new masters. Y’all are screwed in the head, go back to your private schools and communities and do nothing except talk and feel smug from your castles. The revolution is coming for you all that were privileged and chose to use the system.

    Editing Audio
Hi guys, I so love your epic show! Vital listening for a better now and better future, less acrimonious. Here’s a thing— just listening to your interview with Dylan Marron, the editing speeds up the audio unevenly, which is disconcerting, and to inhuman levels at some points. No one can speak that fast, nor hear that fast. And me slowing down the speech is not the answer. I stopped listening to this episode becasue of it. Perhaps it’s my imagination. I love the conversations you have, what you’re bringing to the table (you are MAKING the table). Please don’t alter the speech so much that it’s unintelligible. Many thanks!!

    Bonus episode comment
I generally find Your undivided attention podcasts very informative and interesting. And the portion of this podcast regarding the Foundations of Human Technology course was an impressive offer to people to expand knowledge and responsible use of technology. But in the beginning of the program at 2 minutes 9 seconds, Tristan Harris uses an example of a new synthetic media ‘clip guided image diffusion’ technology that I personally found irresponsible. He says giving the computer the phrase “Breaking news: Kharkiv bombed in Ukraine” generated images just like the ones we see online. Particularly at this time, using this Ukraine bombed example of fake images was perhaps technologically accurate it was also humanely irresponsible. I could see Tristan Harris quote being misused by someone like Tucker Carlson or other right wing extremist media to make claim that US says Ukraine bombing images are faked as Russian State TV is claiming. Again, just my personal viewpoint.

    Wow!
I’m only three episodes in, but these are the most intelligent, productive, accessible conversations about social media that I’ve ever heard. I love this work and hope that decision-makers are able to take it to heart.

    Episode 47
I love this show but interviewing a privileged science fiction writer about how to cope with climate change? Really?? That was embarrassing. All the other episodes are so informative and incredible to listen to tho so still 5 stars!

Raskin & Harris fail to challenge guests
Raskin and Harris are very well informed on social media and big tech issues, but not so much when it comes to political matters. For example, Anthony Leiserowitz was a guest on the 04/22/2020, Changing Our Climate of Denial episode. Leiserowitz made at least 5 false statements during the interview that went unchallenged. The most egregious came 35 min and 45 seconds into the episode. Leiserowitz claimed that traditional media companies such as ABC, NBC, etc. aren't allowed to say anything they want because strict rules prevent them from doing so and that they are duty bound to serve the public interest. What Leiserowitz said here and elsewhere is propaganda. Raskin and Harris remained silent through it all. I send a message to the podcast, but the senior producer didn't seem to be interested. If you have doubts, just listen to the espisode. Similar problems occur in other episodes.

    More than a tech blog
Strikes the perfect balance of deeper conversions about social media than traditional media with interesting topics that still feel accessible to all types of listeners. Thank you for creating content that is informative but never dry! Would love to see you explore how social exclusion is working the same way in meta verse games such as Roblox, often used by younger users, and how this factors into this larger discussion of societal harm caused by social media.

A positive force in tech (and the world)
It’s obvious Tristan and Aza put extraordinary effort in covering salient topics and finding guests that are authentic and truly care about being a positive force in this world - the insights they bring to bear are mind-blowing every. single. time.

    Separatist Psy-Op
Several episodes of this now have been pro-imperialist spins on geopolitical events that make me question this group’s intentions. This started as whistleblowing the dangers of the internet capturing our attention indefinitely and that being used as a tool against the masses, but this seems like it’s now just spreading the same imperialist messages that all other media tend to.

    Very important
This podcast addresses some of the most important issues today. This is one of the few podcasts that I really push on people because folks need to have a better understanding of the potential risks of our modern digital ecosystem.

    Right subjects, wrong focus
To look at companies like Facebook and Google and not recognize how aggressively they are manipulating viewpoints for their own purposes is terrifying. And taking the so called “Facebook whistleblower” at face value shows a terrible lack of perspective.

Most Important Content Portal I Know Of
I became aware of Tristan and Aza’s work through “The Social Dilemma” and then again recently from Tristan’s appearance on late night comedy shows, 60 Minutes, etc after Francis Haugen leaked a trove of damming internal documents from Facebook and gave breathtaking congressional testimony 10/5/2021. Trevor Noah plugged their site and the “Your Undivided Attention” podcast and it is the best thing I’ve come across. Highly recommend and congratulate their team for bringing such thoughtful and incisive content to the people. I hope this inspires others to look into these issues and find ways to make positive change in their own spheres of influence.

Refreshing insight on who's pulling the strings - and why
I've been following Tristan and Aza for years, and love their unique insight and refreshing research on the effect of technology of social media on our lives. As of OFFline dating coach, I see the unfortunate results of tech overconsumption in my single clients, especially on dating apps - and they are spot on in their assessments and advice. Highly recommended for anyone who want to better understand how exactly your digital devices are influencing your life - and how to take back control of it.

    A Must Listen
Urgent. Imperative. Fascinating and important. This should be required listening for every English speaking citizen of the planet. (And maybe be translated to other languages?) If you care at all about the issues facing us as a society and as a human collective, this needs to be on your ‘must listen’ list. Do yourself a favor: log off and tune in.

a great way to be thoughtfully informed
Inspiring awareness and some discomfort—every episode has been critical to take in. Wonderfully presented, thought provoking, essential.
  • Zzz swizzle
    Fascinating but full of fear
Tristan Harris is exceptional at taking important topics and making them pressingly relevant to his listeners. I learn a lot from his work but it usually leaves me feeling anxious. Like his movie the Social Dilemma, Tristan addresses critical issues of technology that are creating revolutionary problems for the people. But forthright in his predictions for a dark future, he does not often bother with the bright side (as in, where/how we may like to ameliorate problems for our benefit)!
  • Mermermermerwhit
    Eye Opening & Impactful
In a world of never ending conspiracy theories where people are terrified the world order is going to change, Tristan & Aza show you behind the curtain what is really changing right now & how we can take back the power we wittingly? gave our devices. The thoughtful discussions, insightful topics, and diverse guests open your mind and have led to me to actively observe and make changes to my own relationship with the tech in my life.
