This podcast doesnā€™t evoke the scenes of the country. Iā€™ve listened to 6 episodes and they were all little more than long advertisements. I also find the hostā€™s voice to be annoying and whiny.

    Dream of Italy
I have been watching and reading about Kathy McCabe for many years now. Since she started her journey with her love of Italy. She just keeps getting better and better with the insights and experiences of this beautiful country! I too fell in love on my first trip, 16 years ago. And have been blessed to return 9 times! I am so enjoying your pod casts! So full of life and great topics

    Italy off the beaten path
I enjoyed the podcast very much talking about getting off of the beaten path. It is one of my passions. Italy has so much to offer other than Rome, Venice and Florence. Going to places like Trieste, Torino, Bassano del Grappa, Ravenna,Camogli, Genova. This is where you really get the true Italian experience.

I'm just so excited to hear from Kathy in this podcast. If her voice, her enthusiasm, her eagerness to share and her wonderful topic of choice (Italy!) don't have your pulse racing -- hold a mirror under your nose. Are you still breathing?

    Dream of Italy Podcast
I'm a big fan of Kathy McCabe's Dream of Italy! The podcasts are a perfect addition to the PBS TV Series and Kathy's Dream of Italy newsletter. I particularly enjoyed the one with Frances Mayes. Both Kathy and Frances have a warmth that makes you feel like you are sitting in your living room with them, chatting about your common love of Italy.

    Grazie!
Kathy, Thanks for providing one more way to feed my passion for Italy. I just returned from my 9th trip there & canā€™t wait to return again. Speaking of truffles in your intro podcast reminded me of the wonderful risotto con tartuffo Nero that I enjoyed at Osteria Barberini in Rome. They have a special truffle menu with both white & black truffles available. Molto Buono !

    LOVE Dream of Italy
I had received the newsletter for a few years and am thrilled to hear these new podcasts! My husband and I go to Italy every year and have visited places we wouldnā€™t have thought of without Kathy and Dream of Italy having done the groundwork first. Our introduction and subsequent visits to Sulmona was a result of Dream of Italy. I even share Kathyā€™s knowledge with my family in Sicily - who have learned about tucked away places they werenā€™t aware of also. LOVE these podcasts and looking forward to the new ones to come. Keep up the good work and THANK YOU for sharing your passion and insights!

    Io sogno di bella Italia!
We "discovered" Dream of Italy when we ran into Kathy and her mom with a small group at a winery in Montefalco. Kathy's mom told us all about the newsletter and we subscribed as soon as we returned home. We've been using it ever since to help plan return trips. There's so much useful information packed into each issue and I'm happy to now have the video and podcast episodes as well. They are like a mini-vacation in 40 minutes!

    Dream of Italy/Frances Mayes interview
I was interested to listen to this after reading previous books by Mayes and visiting Italy several times to see my relatives, but was particularly pleased to learn for the first time about such gems as the Etruscan Museum. Am anxious to read about Parma in See You in the Piazza, since my family is also from Emilia Romagna, from a small village called Salsominore, with salt water and fresh water, and wonderful food in the restaurant run by my cousin's widow. It's like traveling back in time, to see my cousin hung cinghiale, and pick porcini, and I get that sense of timelessness from this interview. I have a friend who is going to Emilia Romagna tomorrow, and I'm envious. This interview takes you there, and to other reaches of Italy.

    Papa
I listened to the first podcast of the Dream of Italy series. I was impressed by the enthusiasm and sense of history shown by our hostess. It was rich in family, tradition and information. We shall look forward to more to come. I yearn for a trip to Italy, perhaps starting with Polermo or Lecce and going north. I was told that there will not be two identical pasta nor cheese in each town.

    Canā€™t get enough of Italy
If you have never been there or if youā€™re a seasoned traveler to Bella Italia, this series offers interesting suggestions for newbies and return visitors. My only regret is not having an Italian relative who can allow me citizenship! Everyone will learn something from this podcast.

    Oh to be there!
My daughter and I spent two weeks touring the beautiful sites of Italy spring of 2018. This podcast with the wonderful Frances Mayes captures how one who visits fall in love with the people, landscape, art food and wine. Wonderful questions asked some of which I was wondering about after Francesā€™ books. I will definitely go back to this lovely country.
