I’m thrilled that there’s a new season, but I hope it isn’t all film bro comedians telling the hosts how to react to Scorsese.

Unless the guest completely takes over the episode, this show is almost unlistenable. The hosts, who are both extremely funny and talented elsewhere, don't put any effort into the show itself and don't pay any attention to the movies they watch. After so many seasons, it's clear they have no interest in making a good podcast. They have too many friends who make great movie podcasts for this to just be ignorance on their part. It's a lack of interest and lack of effort. This feels like just an easy paycheck for them.

Seven seasons deep and, i have yet to see a single one of these films. Will i ever? Probably not! But will i listen to lauren and nicole’s thoughts re: all these movies? Absolutely. Five stars, tens across the board, i have no notes for these two film aficionados!

One of my favorite podcasts, had me laughing out loud at work. Tuned into the first season and was hooked. Quickly binged through them all. Very, very funny! But tuned in to the Taxi Driver episode today and heard this…” would love to go back in time and help John Hinckley aim a little higher”. Really thought you and all your guests were against political violence and bullying?? Apparently caught the wrong show today.

Absolutely love you guys 3000, and excited to listen to these Scorsese movie recaps but good God we need some lady guests or else this season will be insufferable. Love you byeeee

Listening to the this show reminds me of being a geeky teen trying to explain to some cool girls why these stupid movies are sooooo important, only to realize that the movies are stupid and that I am a dork. All of it made worse by their earnest efforts to understand what I am trying to say. I mean this in the best possible way! Nicole and Lauren are the Lennon and McCartney of podcasting! Five stars and two thumbs way up!

Please don’t listen to this podcast unless you have dozens of hours to dedicate to a bunch of silly goofy jokes. I have always liked their individual work, but hearing their back and forth is incredible they play so well together. Not only do they have a podcast I am absolutely obsessed with, but they introduced me to Brennan Lee Mulligan and now I am also obsessed with Dimension 20 and Wolds Beyond Number. So yeah. Never in my lifetime would I be able to consume everything they have introduced me to.

I love Nicole’s and Lauren’s takes on wild movies of which they have no interest in watching 😂 Now I know for sure I don’t want to watch a Marvel movie. Think of the time savings! Thanks ladies!

I love Nicole and Lauren’s chemistry and their take on the movies that they watch. They are very funny and the show is a must listen… Except when John Gabris is on. He is not funny and he dominates the show. unfortunately it’s hard to get through an episode when he’s on it. Otherwise four gold stars to a fantastic podcast.

Nicole and Lauren are PERFECT and this show is outstanding. And I love Gabrus so I like to listen to Nicole and Gabrus discuss Fast And Furious when I’m sad, hearing them be horny for some Meatheads is like slipping into a warm comforting bath. I love Lauren. I love Gabrus. I love Nicole. I want Gabrus on all the time but I also want Lauren on all the time. And obv Nicole. Everyone. All the time. Including Manztoukas. And John Milhiser, Nicole’s old roommate John Milhiser.

I’ve listened to every episode of all seasons and have probably seen less than 5 of the movies they’ve discussed. Why? Because much like Nicole and Lauren, I’m mildly interested in the pop culture around the movies, but it never seems worth the slog of watching hours of movies I’m not that excited about. I’m so happy they are doing it for me so I can get the recaps from my two favorite podcast hosts and a (pretty good) explanation of why I should care from the guests. 5 stars!

Your 1 DnD episode is up there with the best of other dnd podcasts. It’s been 84 years and I still laugh. You guys should do a season on magical girl cartoons and movies! But also whatever! Nicole’s impression of Mr. Freeze was the funniest thing I have ever heard. I truly actually fell off my couch. Thanks!!!!

Big fan. Just binged the whole Batman season and now I’m going to the Marvel season. I love movies, I love listening to people break down what worked/didn’t work about a movie, and love getting a plot synopsis for complicated franchises or collections of films I’ll never make the time to watch.

This batman season was my favorite so far. It is so funny and I wish they did more batman! Stoked to find out what the next season will be but honestly doesn’t matter. I’ve seen all the batman movies, LotR, and Star Wars movies so those seasons are great but the rest of the seasons are movie blind spots for me and the podcast is still hilarious so I’m on board for whatever is next

Found this podcast after listening to HDTGM, and fell in love! Started with the Fast Franchise, had me laughing so hard every episode. From there followed you both through the MCU timeline and now here in the Batman Movies! I’ve never listened to a podcast that made me cry from laughter. Definitely going back to the start to listen. Please don’t ever stop this!! I love you both! Tee hee

Nicole and Lauren have great chemistry and also have some great guests come onto the show to discuss some of the more popular movie franchises in cinema history. Some of the takes are occasionally funny and some of the insight the guests bring to the movies in question are nice. But the hosts themselves are rarely prepared as opposed to a number of their guests. They attempt to be funny/make fun of the movies they discuss much of the time and a lot of those attempts come off as cheap and desperate. Some of those attempts are ones that have been used in years past by more competant comedians at making fun of said movies. It's a podcast that isn't a total "newcomers" experience as, typically, one or both of them have had experiences with the movies they discuss, but it has been a while since in a lot of cases. It's a fine, silly, dumb, ridiculous podcast if you're looking to burn time because you can't find anything more entertaining and/or informative on the topics in questions.

Can’t wait for the Scorsese season, I decided this year I was gonna watch his movies for the first time, so now we get to watch them together! Can’t wait to go on this journey with you ❤️❤️❤️

One of the greatest podcasts of all time. The way Nicole saying “yes queen stomp it out” when she saw Darth Vader is a defining moment in my life. The way Lauren was beyond over Star Wars and Lord of the Rings made me feel seen and heard.

I have such a great time listening to Lauren and Nicole’s take on these films. Such a great way to spend my day laughing along with them.

I love this show but I am confused — when was it recorded? They just mentioned spooky season? Halloween costume ideas? But it’s March? Are they time travelers? Do I have to wait until October for the livestream or go back to 2023? Lauren and Nicole please address this conundrum whenever my review reaches you. I am a new listener and find this hysterical. I am actually seeing some movies that I thought I enjoyed in a new light and might never watch them again. I started listening to the Lord of the Rings episodes; movies that I find tedious at best but my wife LOVES them. Your funny and accurate take on these movies delighted me but my wife was seething which kind of added to my enjoyment because I felt redeemed in my views of those energy sapping slogs. Now I listen solo and look like a mad person driving to work laughing by myself in the car. Thank you for the enjoyment!

Nicole and Lauren hit me in the gut every time with a belly laugh **KAPOW** I have the attention span of a gnat, I could never sit through any of the movies they are watching, but listening to them recap everything? Absolutely delightful. What a treat, what a dream.

Every season of newcomers is GOLD! Lord of the Rings season was a struggle, but I’m glad my ladies took one for the team so I never have to watch those movies. And watching the Star Wars Holiday Special was a fever dream that I will never forget. Along with hearing Nicole understand pop culture references years later i.e. Banes voice makes me tee hee hee. Don’t ever stop making this podcast, truly the highlight of my week.

But please at least watch some of Holy Musical B@man (an internet musical available on YouTube). They did the better, funnier version of Batman v. Superman years earlier. Adore the podcast. I may have squealed aloud when Nicole revealed that she loved Batman and Robin, which is sincerely my favorite Batman movie (cause it's fun)!

Truly gets me through my 10 hour nannying shifts; one ear dedicated to the children, the other to Nicole and Lauren.

I’ve heard a few seasons now and have become such a big fan of these two together. Nicole is right on with Batman & Robin. It’s one of my favorite superhero movies of all time, absolutely hilarious. I think the first time I saw kissing in my life was Poison Ivy and Robin. Uma in that movie was one of my first crushes, no joke. Similar crazy vibes in the equally insane Catwoman movie. Eager to hear what comes next for yall, keep it up!

I love listening to Nicole and Lauren discuss both movies I love and movies I will probably never watch. 🥰 I laugh through every episode! I know they’ve covered the Madea Cinematic Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I’m patiently waiting for them to cover the original MCU: the Muppets Cinematic Universe. 🐸

I started watching SW because my boyfriend is a huge SW nerd (he has SW tattoos and everything) and I am so interested to know you guy’s take on the series! I watched them in the order they were intended (Episode 1-9) and find the newer trilogy (specifically Ep 7) more entertaining - much to my BF’s chagrin! My BF can wax poetic about the nuances of the politics and backstory all day, and after watching the movies, I don’t particularly care for the movies and feel like I would have been OK not seeing them lol. HOWEVER we also watched the 1st season of The Mandalorian and I think that’s outstanding! I hope you guys continue to watch the other SW universe films and shows and give your take too! I stumbled across the Batman season recently not knowing two of the funniest people hosted a podcast together. So happy to have found this gem. I’ve gone back and marathoned all the previous seasons, except Fast & Furious. (No Lauren? No thank you! Sorry to that man) Y’all’s takes are wild and hilariously correct.

Oh. My God. You guys. I knew the season was coming. I remember the previews but I completely forgot because life happens. Then, one day at the gym, I stumbled across episode one of this season and I fell to my knees in joyous relief from the difficulty of every day life. I have never been happier to be a little slow. At this point, I am only three episodes behind and I’m devastated by the notion that it will be ending soon. you guys, You. Are. So. Funny. This podcast is such a joy. It brightens my day in every way. I am not a marvel fan. (*hangs head in shame*) I am a DC fan and It is so fun to hear your fandom switch from dismay to delight, as you review the newer movies and experience how cool they are. Please explore DC more. there is so much here! The acting talent alone: Viola Davis; Will Smith; Gal Gadot; Margot Robbie; Ewan McGregor; (that guy that plays Superman). No more hanging my DC head in shame. such a fan of everything you both do and I’m so excited to finish this season and see what the future holds for the podcast.

I love re-experiencing these movies I once loved through Lauren & Nicole’s eyes. The plot holes! The unnecessary storylines! The wigs! Now going through the Marvel back catalog…My favorite part is that they constantly don’t know who Cobie Smulders is even though she’s married to guest of the pod Taren Killam. Never change ladies. Never change.

Gotta start with this: just read some of the reviews from when the MCU season was originally out, and I am CRYING laughing at the occasional negative reviews getting pissy about the fact that y’all aren’t “true fans” & are “creating plot holes.” Dudes, comic book / fantasy / space opera franchise plots are SWISS CHEESE. Lighten up, angry nerds! (I say this as also a nerd, btw. 🤷‍♀️) Being an MCU obsessive, when I discovered this pod I made the decision to start with that season, and I was not remotely disappointed. Look, Tony’s my dude and always has been, but the sheer amount of DISDAIN Lauren and Nicole have for his facial hair right out of the gate is basically poetic. The fact that I was not bothered one single tiny bit by hearing podcasters complain SO many times about how much they hated all of this MCU nonsense (from moment 1) is 100% up to how incredible these two are at what they do—I howled with laughter pretty much without pause. Also, they’re not wrong, early-stages Thor really IS basically a whole lot of dumb entitled jock energy, and Happy Hogan IS a bananas name. I’ve followed these two for years on other pods/in other media and always enjoyed, but this is honestly 10000% in my wheelhouse and I truly, sincerely would listen to them dissect ANY franchise. A million times better than listening to some nerdy gatekeeper lecture. 🙌 (Happy to be that guest on the throwback ep where you show 2021’s unendingly enjoyable “Black Widow” some love, though. 😂)
