TheCreagsToo many ads for a podcast.I love the substantive content. But the last few months… there is just too many ads. Way too many. Less ads, more substance please.

anne of Greens BayuoKeep up with Senator Cruz and learn a lot of insider information.Excellent way to know what Senator Cruz’s position is on any issue. Sometimes Senator Cruz goes into detail about political insider things I don’t hear anywhere. I always feel like I am better informed.

Eye H8 AdsNot even Ted Cruz likes Ted CruzI live in Texas and even the most conservative people here hate Ted Cruz. I’ve never heard anyone say anything nice about him.
-
got uuuuiYesI went to an event where Ted Cruz‘s father was a speaker there, and I understand and know precisely where Ted gets his leadership from his passion, most of all, his godly spirit, to be in politics from his father.

Sixguns01Spend more time at your real jobListened to a couple of episodes and the only thing of worth I gathered is that Lying Ted Cruz should spend more time being a senator rather than prepping and recording a podcast three times a week. My taxes could be better spent.

2bRogerExcellent content presented in regrettably irritating style1. Adding what I hope is constructive criticism to augment my earlier review. I wonder if Senator Cruz and his "co-host" are aware of a vocal tic, now proliferating among American public speakers, that make this otherwise fine podcast all but impossible to listen to for more than two or three minutes. I refer to the rapid-fire repetition of conjunctions, articles, pronouns, and other short, usually monosyllabic words . Often the speaker repeats the beginning consonants only before spitting out the entire word. The habit resembles a stutter, but is not a stutter. It lends to nearly every sentence a distracting discordant stumbling rhythm that seems to get worse as a speaker becomes more animated or passionate. By no means limited to Sen Cruz and his sidekick, this staccato discord has quickly become ubiquitous among talking heads, and seems to be highly contagious. It's infinitely harder on the ears than old school oratorical foibles like "um," "uh," "you know," etc.. Example: "Th-th-the immigrants are-are streaming across the border in unprecedented numbers, an-and this is exactly what the-the-the Democrats an-an-and the Biden Administration want to happen. Th-th-th-they are coming from all over the world an-and-and-and they are allowed to cross the border and -and in many cases without any effective vetting are-are-are released into the country. An-an-an-and I gotta tell you, nobody has any idea who these people are or-or -or what their intentions are." And-And-And so forth. Very irritating. 2. It's the choice of this podcast format, in which the "star" of the show is accompanied by a "co-host," whose role is to prompt the monologue with prefab questions, and who occasionally interrupts with irksome or inane commentary and superfluous statements. Victor Davis Hanson uses the same format and elicits the same criticism about annoying interruptions by Jack Fowler and Sammy Winc. It would be far better for Senator Cruz to do the show solo in the fashion of say, Megan Kelly, or Joe Rogan, and make Ben more of a behind-the-scenes type guy, as Rush Limbaugh did with Snerdly, or Mark Levin does with "Mr Producer." It doesn't help that Ben's voice is a bit grating and unfortunately resembles that of the insufferable Joe Scarborough. PS The ratio of insufferable ads to content on this and many other podcasts will soon reach, if it hasn't already, a point of diminishing returns. No matter how informative or entertaining the content, listeners just won't be able to stomach the assault on their senses and intelligence. Even for those with enough fortitude (or numbness of skull ) to continue to listen, the over-saturation will render ads ineffective. Then again, as annoyed listeners fall away, I suppose advertisers will too, unwilling to pay to make their pitch to empty seats. With fewer ads, listeners may flock back to the podcast, which, in turn, would lure advertisers to commence their carpet-bomb campaigns again. And so forth ad infinitum.

adhobvftivdeubdeivceCash GrabIf this one of my two Senators actually cared about our state or nation or something besides himself (Mr. Vacation abroad when your state is suffering a major power outage), this podcast would have been on the air a long time ago. Politics aside, he's just doing this because his campaign needs dollars and any revenue generated from this conveniently timed podcast goes to the PAC for this guy's reelection. The amount of reviews complaining about the number of ads speaks volumes to the true intent of the podcast here. Why do I care that my rep is doing this just for the money? Because it shows a lack of sincerity for what he talks about and I doubt he's really thought about the issues as thoroughly as he should have if he's just doing it for the reelection funds. If I wanted conservative media, I'll just go listen to someone who does this for a living, at least they have the experience doing this and the decency to pretend like they care. Sen. Cruz often finds himself wherever there is a camera and microphone ready for a photo op (except during the winter storm of 2021). I do not think he is a Republican or Democrat, I think he is very much a politician. He's a poor man's Greg Abbott, who himself is a politician but I think he at least cares a little bit about some of the GOP platform issues. I could complain that Mr. Cruz is from Canada, I don't really care. I wish I had representatives that at least acted like they cared. Hi campaign staffer who is probably reading this. I'll save you the time cross referencing my username with voter records, I split the ticket every time & vote in primaries. How's life after college? Gig 'Em, Aggies! When you become a representative, please be better than this guy and an actual leader like that President of Ukraine.

TXLandman1Dem Senator That Supports IsraelOddly enough Sen. Fetterman has been the strongest supporter of Israel. There is 1…
-
👍🏻👍🏻chOne DemocratRegarding today’s show (4/5/24), while it is still surprisingl to me, there is one democrat speaking out on behalf of Israel and the hostages—John Fetterman. Give him credit as it is due.
-
Howard(@)Boring!You could replace these clowns with an AI that only knows the phrases “democrats bad” “freedom” “guns good”. What a waste of time.
-
RhondalauToo many addsI love this show and the content! My only complaint is that there are too many ads.
-
WildWeasel24Commercials taking overDan Crenshaw has no commercials. Your show, while very informative, is getting taken over by commercials.
-
JaimstarToo much BenThe show was great with Michael Knowles cohosting. If it can't be Knowles-Cruz, I wish the show was Senator Cruz solo. Ben's voice is grating and he doesn't add value
-
I have to type in a nicknameMore ads than contentThe show used to be 5+ stars, but now it seems like they spend more time on ads than they do on content. What little content they still have is good, but it’s very hard to get to it with the constant interruptions to sell sell sell.

BlackbartPO8Ted is the best! But?When I heard Ted Cruz had a podcast I was thrilled. He is one of only a few people I trust to tell the truth and help Americans understand how to react to what is happening in our sick country. He will go down as one of a few patriots that are responsible for saving our country from the loony dangerous Left that is trying to destroy our country. But, as the podcast grows and the current co-host seems more interested in selling coffee, gold, ED pills and cell phones etc. I see it turning into just another “for profit” podcast that is loosing its luster. A couple episodes ago I couldn’t believe my ears. After a couple minutes of ads at the start and a commercial break about a quarter of the way in there was 60 whole seconds of Ted talking to Comer about the Biden Crime Family then another 2 minutes of commercials. REALLY! Please return to the purpose of the original podcast and add tasteful commercials to pay the expenses. Ben, if you want to get rich, get a game show. Our country is in real trouble and making money off of it is disgusting. Thanks Ted for taking the time to keep us informed. Ted is 5 stars and Howdy Doody is 1 or less. Average = 3 stars.
-
Tepp86Great Info horribly annoying ads.I follow this podcast for at least a year. Love Ted Cruz and what he has to say. Now i understand that they need to have some paid sponsors for the podcast but when it feels like more of the podcast is ads the actual news then it gets really annoying. I want to he updated about the news within our government but I will no longer be getting it via this podcast due to the crazy amount of ads I have to fast forward though every day I listen.
-
DigitaljuanPopping out of controlHi Ben Could y’all do something to soften y’all’s P The popping sound is not good Thanks

RTRinWyoNews otherwise unreportedVerdict continues to provide up to date information on current events, politics, and international relevance in our nation, that goes otherwise unreported in todays media. The behind the scenes look into how policy’s, procedures, and decisions are accomplished within our government is especially beneficial, for everyone, regardless your political affiliation.
-
youlistenhereAll the more impressive becauseThe talk is unscripted, yet truly insightful and informed. Cruz is fascinating to listen to because he is both extremely intelligent and rigorously truthful. If we had 500 members of the legislature, even if the current division of opinion remained, the country would run smoothly and honestly. Hard to imagine.
-
Usmc524588Too many adsI have listened to this show from its inception. The ads now add a significant chunk of the show between slowing reading ads for 2-4 minutes at a time to the apple inserted ads that add another 2-4 minutes of ads. It’s out of control. Please get back to your roots and focus more on the current news.
-
kwanja11Commercials40 minute podcast, 20 of those minutes are commercials. SMH
-
Everett, Wa ChristianThis is a “must listen” showSenator Cruz offers his insight into the inner workings of Congress and makes sure we hear about the news the mainstream media won’t cover. It can be very hard to listen to how the sausage is made, but we need to understand what is truly going on in our government. Thank you Senator, for devoting so much time to educating your fellow citizens.
-
slimshadyonezerooneToo many adsGreat show actually, but the amount of ads make it not really worth listening to. Unfortunate
-
ChiapparineGetting watered down with advertisements!!!!The information and perspective is soooo good, but it’s getting unbearable to listen when HALF the podcast is ads read by Ferguson. And it’s the same 5 or 6 ads over and over and over…head over to Ferguson’s podcast and it’s the same thing. This is ruining the podcast. Senator and Ben, PLEASE figure out how to change the ratio!
-
Bryan ResidentGreat podcastFirst, I really enjoy the podcast. I am wondering though why I have not heard talk of offering Hunter Biden immunity in return for his honest testimony. It seems that this might be the best way to get to the answers as to the president’s potential corruption. I would love to hear the senator’s thoughts on this.
-
Jess1874Now this spineless loser has a podcast?!Ted Cruz is an underwear skid mark that wished on a star to be a real boy.
-
The_T_KDo something TedMuch respect Ted. You are one of the few sane voices in politics But do something about these flights!!!
-
Perma LinkYea my city has from Haiti and others but Republican SenatorNow my governor and senator are republicans and it was written in the Eastside flyer of up to or more than 35k plus other counties with in our location. So please tell me how our republicans do not know this.
-
Mazink37New microphoneI really like your show but for the love of God, do you have to have 10,000 ads???? At times it’s almost unlistenable because I spend more time fast forwarding through the ads than enjoying the content. I realize this is how you fund and make money, etc. but my goodness I listen to a lot of other podcasts and they don’t torture me to death with endless ads.
-
TeresaBenedictaHelpful InfoIt’s great to get an inside track on happenings in the senate. Thank you, Senator Cruz, for your work and this podcast. That said, it has become unlistenable because of the ads. Please, redo your financial plan for this show and take out at least half of them. I can’t stand listening to so many interruptions.
-
Aaron3293Too many adsI enjoy the podcast, but it seems since Ben became the host there are a ton of ads in every episode. I understand needing sponsors for the show but the amount of ads are ridiculous!
-
The_duck_taperA show in declineTed is the only reason I still listen. Hearing Ben and having skip all the dang ads makes me cringe. I stopped following (subscribing) the show once “Week In Review” came around (typically of “evergreen content” Ben). Make sure to skip the weekend show…. It’s a “cash grab” weekend ever weekend. The chemistry (Ted and Host) just isn’t there anymore and is slowly making the content worse. Holding out hope that Ben gets booted at the end of his contract.
-
Love to ereadState of Union responseSo happy to hear from Michael Knowles again!
-
plinaGreat show. One question that I have been meaning to ask you for a long time. When the Republican Party takes over Congress and the presidency in 2024. Does the Republican Party have the nerve to make a law denying residency and a path to citizenship to all these illegal aliens brought in by the democrats to create a voting block? Also can they make a law denying citizenship to illegal alien's children born in this country? Thank you.
-
CdubyaPYou Need This InformationThank you, Ted, for taking the time to share information with us from that gawdawful swamp in DC. Good choice with Ben, too.
-
cougie999Always InformativeHis podcast is like having the inside track on “the swamp.” I always listen to him first.
-
Dega broDega ladyThe best show I listen to-bar none. I was in political office over a decade and this is very accurate for what I saw personally.
-
Mike24093Ads galoreTo many ad reads since Ben came along. Almost unbearable to listen to anymore.
-
213ziquGood Content, far too many commercials!Good informative content. But, wow! Why all the ads?
-
William ARPod commentary doesn’t reflect realityThe past 11 years as a Texan- Cruz has had the wool over my eyes. I’m over him. Three episodes in- I’m getting fired up, until I had the eureka moment that he hasn’t backed up anything he says with legislation. It dawned on me that he does a podcast five days a week and that must be occupying all his time.
-
stopprop1InformativeNice to know what’s going on
-
SCADA_GuyVerdict is InGreat podcast, interesting topics from the day’s political news — and what isn’t reported. But please work on the sound levels if you can: Senator Cruz speaks fairly evenly, but Ben’s comments sound several decibels louder - the sound grates. My AirPods go nuts trying to protect my hearing.
-
MidshipRunabout50% ads…50% repetitive ads for products and services nobody wants, 45% blabber and repeating themselves, and 5% good insights and news. The ads make listening to the show infuriating, I’m out.
-
Enjoying the podcast!Interview with Eric JohnsonThank you Senator Cruz and Ben Ferguson for your continually excellent podcasts! The podcast with Mayor Johnson was interesting, refreshing, and practical all at the same time. Mayor Johnson had a lot of great advice for potential Republican candidates who want to work to strengthen and increase Republican presence and guidance in big cities. Please invite him back! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
-
sweetheanGreat speakerI have such a high regard for Ted Cruz. He has values . His knowledge of truth is off the charts. We are blessed to have his voice for the people.
-
SuzyinalBest!Ted, I have listened to your podcast from day one. I rely on it to get to the truth of what’s going on in Washington. But please, when you have a great guest like Eric Johnson it would be so much better to let him speak his mind without you and Ben constantly interjecting. It is frustrating when they’re trying to make a point and one of you interrupts. I even hate it when Ben does it to you. Interrupting is so rude.
