    Second Re-Listen
Enjoyed every episode and grateful all of those involved in making this short but amazing podcast. Yedoye is both knowledgable and hilarious at what he does and I am always eager to see whatever projects he has coming out.

    Delightful
Truly a delight to listen to. I’m learning so much about a medium I’ve loved for 14 years.

    It's ok.
Having lived though the history this podcast covers, I can say it gets most things right but left out details about what fandom did before fansubs and how fans in the early days connected electronicaly before consumer internet became a thing,

    Phenomenal
I was randomly on Crunchyroll one day when I saw Yedoye Travis’s face at the top. I was excited because Get In The Robot (the youtube channel) had just announced that they were never releasing episodes again. That channel was my introduction to anime and answered various questions that I had and even ones that I didn’t. This was a great substitute. I even binged it in a day! Phenomenal work!

    Creative and educational
I’m loving this series! The MC is easy to listen to and makes me smile. I learn so much about the genre I love and can’t wait for more. Thank you for producing such fine quality podcast to the Otaku community and for those that just want to call anime “a cartoon” when it is SO NOT JUST.

    Top tier podcast.
This anime podcast is informative, inclusive, and hilarious. I appreciate the in-depth histories of how anime (in America) came to be without ignoring the issues surrounding the medium, the community. Also, that tune is so, so good.

    Yedoye Gets It
Man I actually wish this podcast was longer. As someone who already knows too much about the anime industry, this podcast still gives me interesting new information and is perfect at giving the audience the big picture. I’m hooked and the new episodes can’t come fast enough.

Great information for the newbie, great nostalgia for the vets
This is a great podcast combining the real history surrounding anime in America, but also the fun culture and nerdiness/amazingness of its fans. My one gripe, and keep in mind this is only my opinion (which often wiped poorly), is that Yedoye Travis sometimes speaks in a monotone drag; like he’s just trying to get through his reading. Then again, he’ll bounce to some personal quip that sparks a chuckle from time to time as well. All in all, I like it, I just wish there was a little more emphasis on rhetoric... seems like kind of a big deal in an audio podcast. Keep in mind this is coming from a guy who wipes poorly... kind of a big deal 🙄

Funny, Insightful, and Anime as All Get Out
There’s a lot to be said about a podcast who’s host punctuates episode one by saying in plain language that their parent company was founded as an illegal fly-by-night anime YouTube. And that’s why you’ve got to let professor Yedoye guide you through the journey of Anime’s arrival in America. Interesting, hilarious, and highly addictive it needs a top place on your anime playlist.

    My one criticism
This is one of only a couple podcasts I think should be longer. It’s extremely informative, Yedoye is a wonderful narrator, and it’s all around interesting. If the episodes were an hour I wouldn’t complain at all. Definitely a must listen podcast so far if your an anime fan.

    So far, so good...
Very informative and educational. Yodeya Travis does a great job hosting the podcast with a sense of humor and stimulating conversations with different people of the anime distribution from news proliferation to production. So far, so good. I’m invested.

    Entertaining and Well-Researched
This podcast dives into the depths of history of what made Anime in America what it is today without being redundant or uninteresting. From overseas legal disputes to the timeless Sub vs. Dub debate, Yedoye covers it all in a witty and knowledgeable way that makes it both informative and entertaining to listen to. All while also appealing to new and old anime fans alike. Great listen!

    Fantastic!
Equally funny and informative, Anime in America gives a glimpse into the struggles and successes that Anime has experienced trying to gain viewership in the US. As a child of the 90s I grew up on Toonami and DBZ, it is very interesting to hear the history of an (now relatively mainstream) art form. Dubs are good, and Yedoye is hilarious.
