    Wow! Thank you!
I follow your business podcast and found this body and sex episode while researching guests for my own podcast and 💥🙏🏽💥 WOW and thank you for sharing your experience, your vulnerability, and your talk with your husband. I’ve spoken of the hypocrisy of us women needing to be desirable but not desire and it was so validating to have someone who I respect like you, speak to this. And I know your convo with your husband will help my clients with their body talk too (cuz I’m found to share this in my membership to spread the reach). Thank you so much Amy 😘 Susie Pettit

    Body Love Journey
This podcast is a must listen to if your are struggling with body love issues! Will be listening to all the episodes over and over again as I work through these issues. Amy thank you for putting this out in the world!!

Where are the other episodes :(
Would be 5 stars but there’s only half the show! Where’s the rest?

Separate yourself from Rachel Hollis, please
Amy, you deserve better and are so well respected. I would get out from underneath the toxicity that is Rachel Hollis.

    Amy Porterfield is a hero.
I’ve listened to Amy for years. Online Marketing Made Easy has been my favorite podcast forever. Until Talking Body. The honesty and the vulnerability that Amy brings to every episode, the questions she asks, the experts she provides for us- it was everything I’d been looking for. Amy, thank you for speaking up for all of us. I feel so connected, as a woman who struggles with body image, who struggles with aging, with being a mother, with being a female entrepreneur, with social media, with food, with everything. I loved every minute of every episode. I cannot thank you enough. I hope there will be a Season 2! You are my hero.

    Honest and comforting
I love listening to Amy— her voice and her words gave me that “you are not alone in this” feeling, as she shared things that aren’t “perfect” or very comfortable to share. It felt like sitting down with a good friend to talk about the real things and it doesn’t get any better than that.

    Wonderfully reflective & raw
I love this—thank you, Amy, for the courage to create and share this with the world.

    Better podcasts out there
Happy that Amy is using this platform to explore her relationship to her body but there are far more nuanced and in depth podcasts about the origins and deleterious effects of diet culture. This felt pretty dated, written for white cis women.

    Life-giving
This podcast is giving me life, and hope and resilience amidst a time when I feel so out of control within my aging post-quarantine body. It’s the one podcast I save for quiet, alone time so I can truly be present, listen fully and reflect on my own experiences and how they so often connect with each topic. Thank you for giving us these wise thoughts at just the right time!
  • Fit4lifeforever
I just love everything about this podcast.
This podcast has resonated with me on so many levels. I absolutely love the interview with Amy & Hobie. You could feel the love they have for each other through the episode “I want you to want me”
  • Roberta H.
    Wow.
This podcast has really made me think about my thoughts. The episode where Amy interviews her husband - such an eye opener! I want to go home and talk to my hubby about all of this! I appreciate the vulnerability and honesty.
  • Aynbanan
    Thank you!
Thank you so much for being so vulnerable and honest. I absolutely love this podcast and the messages you are putting out there. I fight a lot of these same thoughts and am so inspired by you and all this information. Not only is the message great but I really think you are an amazing speaker and love hearing your voice. Thank you again! I never want this to end. I’ve listened to the whole thing a few times and get something new every time.

    Amy ❤️
Great podcast content and host! 😍
  • jbendzick
    So great!
This is such a great podcast, but Amy it is hard to listen to you being SO hard on yourself throughout this podcast. You repeatedly say “I’ve always been a bigger girl,” and “overweight” mentions, but when I googled pictures of you, I thought to myself, “What is she talking about??” Especially now! You are not overweight at all. I fell in love with you and this podcast quickly, but man it crushes me to hear you be so hard on yourself and throw little “slams” at yourself every episode. You’re beautiful!! And I hope you realize it!
  • CJayBreezy
    Thought provoking and transformational
This podcast is a journey of one person discovering that her experience is actually universal. I’ve learned a lot, and while I haven’t fully agreed with everything discussed I have benefited from the experience of parsing why I disagree. Thank you, Amy, for taking us along on your self-discovery journey.
  • Christykrc
    So amazing and necessary!
Amy, you’re wonderful. I’ve been following your other podcast for years. This podcast offers a conversation in the most perfect time for me in my life as my body has changed so much in the past couple years. Thank you! As you described your journey and the comment Hobi made, saying, “nothing is worth this” hit me hard. All the things I try to do and make happen for my body instead of accepting really crumbles my sense of self and ability to be MYSELF. Thank you, thank you for this podcast!

    Body Shaming
I love the podcast, but this one left me a bit befuddled. Why is it body shaming only includes being ‘overweight’? It does not!! I’ve been body shamed since a child for being thin. It’s just as damaging - actually it’s worse!! It’s been deemed ok to call someone skinny, thin, anorexic, etc. because - I don’t know why!! The insults I’ve endured are so hurtful, rude, and flat out mean! It’s not only to my face, but behind my back. People assume I’m going to be mean and unfriendly because of the way I look. Thank e actually had someone come up to me and say ‘I expected you to be a snob because your so thin’. Who would say that to someone overweight?? Nobody! Maybe because I was made fun of for so many decades that it’s caused me to have more compassion for everyone. God is always in control regardless of the reason. I truly believe that! But I’m expected to laugh along because ‘everyone wants to look like you’. I have no curves. I work so hard to get something resembling a grown woman. And I’m still boxy like a 12 year old boy. Btw I’m 46 years old. Now that I’ve said all that, I love the space you’re exploring. Please keep at it! Please - next time look at both sides please 💕💕 Look up ‘skinny shaming’

    Unexpected and beautiful!
Amy is a powerhouse in the online course community, but this podcast is for everyone. Beautifully written, well produced, and just lovely to listen to!

    Listen to this Girl!
Amy shines as she discusses something we all know but are hesitant to talk about—our bodies and the perception both society and we have posed upon it. This podcast is well researched, has excellent guest speakers, and hosts powerful conversation. If you want to dismantle the negative body image you’ve been building for years— this is the podcast is a must listen. Amy, thank you for being brave enough to educate yourself and us about this very important topic. This podcast is necessary therapy.
  • CoachTammyC
    Please no politics!
I love this podcast and the great information. I was disappointed to have political views included in this episode by the guest. This isn’t a political podcast and I immediately felt alienated by her opposing political viewpoint being expressed. I would feel the same if my political view has been included (which it was not). I’m still giving a 5 star but hope this was an anomaly and not a trend in the podcast.
  • tnjen17
    Really? Wow!
Amy - I’ve been following your business and marketing podcast/page/videos etc. and I’ve never once even thought about the look or weight of your body. You are beautiful! And I’m so bummed, because you are now in my home town and now I’m in Georgia. ☹️been here a little over a year now and I miss Nashville, so much. I hope you love it. Thank you for this podcast. So many of us suffer from everything you’ve covered so far. I was laid off in June of 2020 and I’m struggling with my self worth and image, right now, because I’m finding it hard to find work. This podcast is so timely!! Can’t wait to share this with friends and family. Thanks for your vulnerability.

    Let's Talk Body
This show gives me life and tackles all the things I personally feel. It helps me to overcome my own insecurities and gives me tools to be more confident in who I am. Instead of hating certain parts of my body, I'm learning to love it. Thank you Amy and all guests for sharing your story. It means the world to all of us who share the same issues and experiences.
  • MickyN89
    Remarkable!
Amy, on behalf of women everywhere, THANK YOU! You’ve already built a legacy through OMME and DCA, but this project is special and so beautifully crafted. What a beautiful gift to the world!

Amy Porterfield proves once again that she’s a game changer.
OMG. I don’t even know where to begin. First, I’m a HUGE fan and love calling you my coach. I’ve done LBL, DCA, and of course, I’m in Momentum. You do it, I follow. I heard the conversation you had on the Rise stage with Rachel when it happened a year or so ago and my respect and admiration skyrocketed. But Talking Body - I don’t even know where to start. As a health and fitness coach who works primarily with women, you are shining the brightest light on the darkness that shades so many of us. I am going to listen to these episodes over and over and will be sharing with all my clients. You’ve really created something special here. But that is no surprise, because it’s you doing it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the goodness you put into this world - now excuse me as I go refresh my podcast app yet AGAIN, to see if a new episode is available. Cheers to you - cheers to us all!

This podcast is a win for women everywhere. It’s raw, it’s real and it’s all the things I’ve been wanting to talk about with my gal pals for years. Brava to Amy and guests, a true love letter to us all.

Every Women Needs to Hear This
"Can I love my body and simultaneously want to change it?" That's the questions Amy's digging into in this series. In true Amy Porterfield style, she's thorough, professional, and vulnerable. It's refreshing to hear conversations that previously happened in the silence of our own minds, or behind closed doors with our closest friends. Every women needs to listen to this if for no other reason to have a broadened perspective about body image and self-worth.

    Can’t wait to hear more!
I first heard of Amy Porterfield through listening to podcasts hosted by Rachel Hollis and Jenna Kutcher. I was so excited to hear that Amy would be doing a deep dive into this topic in a 12 week series. I can relate to so many of the feelings and thoughts Amy shared in episode 1 and applaud her bravery in talking about it with all of us listeners. On a side note she has a lovely voice to listen to and I can’t wait to hear the coming episodes!

    Oh MY Goddess! Extraordinary
CHILLING. First of all... Amy's decision to do a podcast on bodies while sharing such vulnerability is exquisite. Just listened to episode 2; chills 3 times and tears once. I could SO relate to the talent show experience and feeling SO BAD about my body. Growing up in Southern CA... all spotlights' on us. The production of the podcast is super-cool as well; tight... A+. Love what you've created, Amy. Peaceful healing, Dr. Nicki

    Spot on!
I am so happy to have the opportunity to walk through all of the many ways I’ve been programmed since birth, to think about my body. Thank you, Amy, for being so vulnerable and having this conversation. I’m a member of DCA and think about my appearance on video, dealing with aging, and all that goes with it. Looking forward to a greater understanding and acceptance for myself, and also how I judge others. That’s a biggie too! Thanks again!🙏❤️

Love! Please have plus size guests
I know it’s important for all women to love their bodies. But Rachel Hollis giving advice on how to love your body when you’re overweight is the same as a white woman trying to teach a black woman how to be proud of being black. Women who are skinny absolutely do still have body image issues, but they are not treated as less than by all facets of society like plus size women are. So please, please have plus size women on your show. Plus size women who have taken the journey to self love and arrived.

    Talking Body Conversations
This is a discussion we need to be having. Helping to unpack issues around body image is super important. In my view it’s most important for those coming up behind us: How can we help prepare these young girls to become adults who are healthy in mind and body? Thanks for keeping this conversation going Amy and Rachel.

    Love this!
I was delighted to find this podcast! I just purchased your List Builders Society course. Everything you do is so on point! Thank you for what you share with the world! This Podcast is so needed right now! I purchased your program to build a course around my book which is on this very subject. I would be honored to send you a copy of my book which goes perfectly with this podcast! My book answers many of the questions in your podcast. Please tell me where to send it. I look forward to the next podcast.

Vulnerability + Grace in a Podcast
So grateful for Amy’s bravery to open up and have the hard conversation. I love that she doesn’t come from a traditional ‘motivational speaker’ background, it makes her super relatable.
  • Mek954
    Yes, thank you!
Resonates with me to the core. I’m looking forward to future podcast episodes!

    Real, refreshing and freeing
As a DCA alum, and momentum member and obviously a fan of Amy’s work I am so honored that she’s sharing the personal. As a therapist that works with women, a Latina, and an entrepreneur that can relate with these stories and judgement I’m so excited that real conversations are happening about the need for women to love themselves and their bodies without judgement.

    Looking forward to this..
I struggle daily so looking forward to learning how to struggle less .. loved episode 1 and ready for the next

    Excited Anticipation
Episode 1- I’m so intrigued and I relate to what Amy said on a deep level. I already respected her work and now I respect her vulnerability. I can’t wait to learn along side of her.

    Absolutely Gold!
I’m kind of sad to see that somebody gave us podcast a four star rating. In my opinion it’s an absolute five. I too have followed Amy for years I love all the business teaching she has. And whether you apply what she’s talking about here to weight or some other aspect in your life that you want to love yet you want to want to be different, it’s so valuable to be in this conversation. Looking forward to the next episode!
  • ashley_mchan
    Yes
As a woman in a body, a therapist and eating disorder specialist, I have to tell you that I am on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait for what you have to say and what you’re guests have to share. These are the conversations that women need to hear. To understand how to stop tying self-worth to our bodies, to the way others appraise us. Ready for it. Thank you. This audience is so lucky for this pivot.

    Vulnerability at its finest!
I’ve followed Amy for years for her online marketing “know-how”. But seeing her show up so open, honest, and vulnerable to talk about the stories with her body journey has me leaning ALL THE WAY in - to the point of falling out of my chair. I can’t wait to hear what this podcast has in store for all of us and to share in the humanity we all face - as one collective body of women.
