I just voted for the Webby Awards. Just love these brilliant ladies and have learned so much about our judiciary system. Thank God for their humor and honest interpretation of these times.

    Judge Aileen Cannon
In my opinion, her nutty, biased rulings are very much NOT inexplicable. She -may- be inexperienced, but Judge Cannon is simply a ~blatant~ Trump loyalist. I realize that you all need to “both-sides” these issues carefully for the show, but giving this judge the benefit of the doubt, at this point, is not logical. At the same time, Trump, MAGA, and whomever may be helping Ms. Cannon, -may- be playing many moves ahead chess…make crazy rulings, then make Smith look bad for throwing the book back at her. Drumpf is using the SAME tactic with his REPEATED gag order violations…The United States Justice Dept NEEDS to apply the law without fear or favor, come what may!!! History will never forget if they DON’T!!!!!!!! They need to ACT, and ACT NOW!!!!! All IMHO… Cheers and Thanks for your great show! ✌️💚🌻🌺🌸😎💫

    The Webby Awards
Love my Sisters-in-Laws. Congrats on the nomination and best of luck for the win! I just voted 4/6/2024. Yeah❣️

    Cannon
Great podcast Ladies…please address what is glaringly obvious. Cannon is a puppet and is being coached from a behind the scenes strongman. She has been threatened perhaps by deportation of her mother back to Cuba? when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth (Sherlock Holmes). She is afraid and is being manipulated. Full Stop!!!

    Intro
Have seen Barb and Joyce on MSNBC a lot and I wish I was half as smart as them, but the intro is way too long on the podcast.
  • Shawnshawn61
    So good.
    Intelligent and sharp.

    Love SIL, but…..
It’s my experience that almost 10 minutes elapse with banter and ads before the women start discussing real content. As a result, I don’t listen as frequently. I wonder if you might space out the ads - start the show promptly and do ads intermittently.

    Every Saturday…!!
…I’m eager to tune in & listen to what you all have to say about the topics of f the week..I’ve learned so much ..You each bring your own expertise & it all comes together so well..!! Thanks so much…
  • run2tunes
    Lacks expertise on technical issues
The simplistic explanation of Apple vs Android, totally ignoring privacy and security issues, juxtaposed against an ad promoting a service that basically spies on you and your family to provide "security" was ironic.

    Love your show!!
Just listened to the last episode and I just wanted to say to ALL of you-“YOU ARE NOT IMPOSTERS!!!” As a woman (retired doctor) , I understand the self doubt, but believe me, y’all are GREAT what you do!! PS: Read your own Wikipedia pages that are full of impressive accomplishments ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Best podcast Team🏆
Saturdays are so much better with the calm and informative weekly legal wrap-up from Sisters In Law! I feel confident that the combined expertise of Jill, Barbara, Joanne and Kim accurately reflects the legal/political/social bailiwick we currently inhabit. Although great good news is often in short supply, being informed with truth and humor on is totally beneficial for me! Thanks to all who produce this great podcast❤️! Yours truly, Stephanie Harlan

Great show. Joyce and Kim are both right about their analysis of Fan’s next moves. I think it would be brilliant if Fani could find the middle of the argument and press forward. She’s an extraordinary prosecutor.

    Kimberly 100% Today
You 4 are the best. I love your podcast every week. But this week Joyce Vance does not get it! Kimberly is 100% right. The attacks against Fani Willis were racist and sexist. How many male lawyers are having affairs with women who have lots of roles. Heck, Trump is an adulterer with a porn actress and MAGA folks believe he’s chosen by God. This was totally an attack on her as a Black woman because of Trump and his right wing Cult. (BTW I’m a white woman.) KEEP FIGHTING FANI!!!
  • 80221
    More ads than podcast!
Joyce Vance is wrong about Fani Willis.

    MEDIA LITERACY!
Yes, please…let’s start a movement for Civics education, media literacy and critical thinking skills!

Love these ladies but too many ads!
These smart women are fabulous and listening to them can be fun and informative but lately it’s just too much housekeeping and ads. Today’s show was 7 minute before they got to talking about the issues of the day, it’s too much. They promote their books, they promote their very expensive appearances and then ad after ad.
  • GAHKERCMH
    Helpful but …
Good content but … Way too many ads. Too much small talk.
  • Ridin' Mama
    Thank you for clarity!
These four educated, wonderful minds share their knowledge to help keep us grounded during these tumultuous times. Can’t thank you enough! Please put San Diego on your list of cities to visit!

    On the ledge too!
I have watched all of you separately on MSNBC but together your team is fire! You are all so knowledgeable, as well as so funny. Your individual expertises works so well to explain the topics you cover. I also love Jill’s little reveals about the many interesting things she does, or has done, in life! Thank you for having this show and for letting us into your lives a little bit. Also, I am on the ledge with Kim and Joyce!
  • Mama Lund59

    Where is the outrage!
Well structured, insightful and comprehensive discussions of current issues. Your show leaves me wondering though: Where is the outrage? We need more awareness and I can’t thank you enough for doing your part! Absolutely inspiring.

Smart, funny, and pretty doggone brilliant
My go to podcast. Every Saturday I know I will have a clear and concise handle on the events from the past week and prepared for what is ahead. I love the energy between these amazing women. As I said…smart, funny, and pretty doggone brilliant.

Wonderful Women as well as Legal Minds
I enjoy the open and close of each Sisters-In-Law episode as much as the brilliant legal discussions in the middle. The four hosts give the listener glimpses into the their lives outside their legal careers. Thanks for this wonderful podcast!
  • phunny girl
    New show
This is my first time listening and I just love this show! Smart women giving terrific answers to questions of the day. I look forward to the next podcast!
  • who/nose
    Unbelievable amount of ads
The content is good, although could use more structure or editing sometimes. I just can’t believe that every episode starts with 10 minutes of ads, then there are at least 3 additional 2-minute ad breaks. I get that it costs time and money to put this pod together but I can’t think of another pod that goes this hard on ads.

Thanks Barb I’ve always felt he had changed the course history and should never be released. Why is this person always on my page? Every time I write a review his comment is on my page. How do I get rid of him? When are you coming to Philly?

    Brilliant!
I love this podcast and listen to it every week. This group of women lawyers have great insight to the trails and tribulations of the day.

    Favorite legal podcast
Favorite podcast about all things legal. The Sisters are incredibly good at explaining legal to lay people and their discussions add so much as they show (slightly) different view points.
  • TheWritersMuse
Four of the Brightest most Skilled Lawyers Laying it ALL out!
It is so refreshing to hear intelligent sound discussions that consider all sides and NONE of the hype. I am so sick of people who hype themselves or a topic or a POV that I could scream. I want to hear knowledge, experience, and thoughtful professional and personal opinions. So much of the stuff happening today does not make sense, listening to you all debate and discuss not only examples how the discussion can be educational and insightful - you don’t always agree with each other - but brings an element of sanity to what is all too often just plain nuts. Like Alabama’s Supreme Court making an overtly religious ruling: “Even before birth, all human beings bear the image of God, and their lives cannot be destroyed without effacing his glory,” - Chief Justice Tom Parker. Holy cow! Since when does a court get to unilaterally decide to change America into a theocracy and criminalize previously decided upon right actions under the law? Corporations are people deserving protections, benefits, and rights, embryos are people deserving protections, benefits, and rights, but women are second class citizens who deserve no protections, benefits, or rights. How can we sue the Alabama Supreme Court??? Can Gabby Goidel, who was in the process of having IVF treatments in Alabama to have her third child, sue the court for obstructing her pursuit of getting pregnant through IVF and for imposing its personal religious beliefs on her? Can the women of America join her lawsuit as co-plaintiffs forcing the renunciation of a specific religious interpretation of law by the courts as unconstitutional? If we do not quickly codify the separation of Church and State once and for all I fear we will be sucked down a very unforgiving path of cult-like thinking where long prison terms and death penalties become as common here for women as they have been in Iran, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Brunei, Nigeria, and parts of tribal Pakistan. Our democracy is on the line only because Trump has cut a deal with the religious nuts who want God to rule - Trump gets to do what he wants with the deconstruction of government and redirecting money as long as they get their way on moral and social issues. If we save democracy in 2024 but still have a Speaker who believes that he has been appointed by God to bring America back to Jesus in order t usher in the End Times, and religious courts who criminalize choices they do not approve of democracy is still going to be lost. Period. Do not under estimate this inside movement. Mike Johnson is the most religiously conservative fanatic of them all. Please talk about this dramatic and dangerous religious shift in the courts. How is it being allowed? I am 69 years old, I come out of the religious right, I know these people and the game plan… this is not good. They will do anything to win the seats of power but I never thought that they would make this move without having the White House. They are feeling very comfortable and without opposition. The time for a very hard push back is now!

    Tremendous!
Thank you for doing this podcast. You’re meaningful and intelligent discussions shine light on otherwise dismal situations in a unique way. You are truly making this world a better place!

    Too much time on commercials
The program is good but their commercial time is so long and drags on. I find I can’t listen anymore due to that.

    Warm Bath and Bath Bombs
Listening to the Sisters is like a warm bath for my brain and my psyche! My Saturday soaking is filled with gallons of common sense, legal acuity and historical perspective. I can relax knowing that the Sisters will go beyond the froth of headlines and popular commentary to clean up and clear up complicated issues. Of course the regular bath bombs of humor, hometown competition and (occasional) silliness make the experience even better! Thank you, #SistersInLaw! You are each and all an essential part of our nation’s conversation. Jan P. S. Love your sponsors as well! Smart folks.

Makes me a better high school history teacher
I am grateful for this podcast. Since I’ve started listening, I’ve been able to explain complicated developments with all things Trump, and beyond, clearly and impartially, to my 9th and 10th grade students. I was recently nominated by one of my students for a teacher award and his explanation was “Eighty percent of everything I’ve learned since starting high school, I’ve learned from Mrs. Landwehr.” It’s only fair that I share this with you because I don’t know if I would be as confident, clear, and concise without this podcast. Keep it coming!! Thanks!!
