Good until he injects politics into the discussion
The podcast is a great source of information related to AI how it affects cyber security and life in general. What turned me off is he uses it to inject his political views along with it. I don’t care if the politics align with mine. If I wanted to hear about politics I’d be subscribing to a political podcast but I don’t want to hear about it. Unsubscribed

    Extremely liberal
This guy is a hack. All he wants to do is push his stupid liberal politics. I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him.

doesn’t play using VPNs with anti tracking/malware
I would really like to listen again without disabling antimalware/antitracking VPNs. Please change your publishing settings to allow.

    Incredibly smart
Incredibly smart Daniel has created something that I think everyone should listen to. Whether or not you’re in information security this podcast is a must for anyone wants to keep up with the world of tech and listen to somebody who is extraordinarily bright.

    Weird, seemingly pointless add-ins
The info sec information discussed is wonderful and I would rate it 5 stars for that but he keeps throwing in random political talking points that have no logical connection to info sec. So, 1 star unfortunately.

    Fantastic
If only every podcast or form of content was near as efficient as unsupervised learning we all would be learning so much more! Thank you, great insights and summaries

    Required Listening
The quality of this podcast is so high that if you are not listening to it weekly, I would almost say you’re being inefficient with how you get global news and updates. Very good and enjoyable content 10/10

    Insightful, relevant, and fun
A must listen to pod of my week. Daniel Miessler thinks intelligently about the intersection of security and tech, really knows his coffee, and cares tremendously about our listening experience. How? Bc he tunes his microphones consistently for balance, also the slack community is one of my favorites. The weekly pod, emails, slack channel, and standalone essays portray a brand that really cares about their audience.

    Entertaining, insightful and actionable! 🙌
Whether you’re well established as someone who can translate creative energy into the impact you want to have on the world, or just getting started as a cyber security innovator - this is a must-listen podcast for you! Daniel does an incredible job leading conversations that cover a huge breadth of topics related to the ins and outs of navigating an ever changing data security environment - from leaders who’ve actually walked the path. Highly recommend listening and subscribing!

    Thoughtful, informative, entertaining
Daniel does a great job of curating information security and related technology news, podcasts and other miscellanea that proves to be relevant, interesting and informative, and does so in a concise and easy-to-digest format. I also pay to subscribe to the newsletter version of his feed, as I can typically consume it faster, but find both to be complimentary and find myself switching between the two mediums based on where I am and what I'm doing. Great info, highly recommended resource.

I depend on the newsletter, the podcast is "good"
Unsupervised learning has made my life at work as an Infosec trainer much easier as I am able to easily peruse Daniel's expert thoughts on Infosec/Appsec and Human-Technology news at a glance. With the newsletter, I am able to read a "headline" of sorts, and click a link if I want more information. The only negative thing I will say with the podcast is that I am unable to click the link from where I'm sitting (usually) to find out more; I am hoping that Daniel is able to spend some extra time on the podcast format to discuss each story's finer details. I wouldn't even mind that the podcast format would have to be a little longer to accomodate this. Otherwise, it is the same as reading the newsletter. I love the newsletter, but I guess I was hoping for more discussion on the podcast. Otherwise, Daniel deserves every penny we give him for the weekly version of his newsletter (rather than the free bi-weekly version), and at times I think we aren't paying him enough for it. Keep up the amazing work, Daniel!

Great source of news and ideas
This podcast is a great source of technology-related news (one of the best out there). But this is not the best part aboput this podcast. The best part is that Daniel is genuinely a nice guy who wants to share his thought-provoking philosophy and world view with the rest of us. Even if you do not always agree with him, you have got to appreciate the subjects and the arguments he is bringing up. It is genuinely refreshing and inspiriong.

    Informative
I find Daniel Miessler's Unsupervised Learning podcast to be very interesting and informative. He distills a lot of technology trends and news as well as related current events into a succinct newsletter that is incredibly interesting. I look forward to each new edition.

    Concise and another frills
Great work! What I’d appreciate is a set of show notes with the links to articles that you reference. Thanks again!

Clear, Concise and Full of Good Information
As a long-time Geek, I found the Pod becuase of the first few episodes but I'm subscribed and will listen to them all. Keep up the good work Daniel.

    Such an informative podcast!
My undying thanks to Daniel Miessler for both this podcast AND his accompanying newsletter. One or the other or both are MUSTS for me each week because his curated news, unique perspectives and accompanying essays are filled with phenomenal insights into what's happening in the world, both within the infosec community and also in the world at large. THANKS DANIEL!

    Excellent reading list and recommendations
I look forward to Dan's podcast and newsletter every week. The topics he picks are interesting and thought provoking and his book recommendations have informed my reading list for months.

You need to listen to this.
It's not just that it's a good summary, and it's not just the insightful (and often funny) commentary. I listen to Dan every week because he isn't just duplicating content that I can get through other feeds. I've got three podcasts that are weekly *musts* for me to listen to even if I don't have to listen to everything else--this is one of them.

    Somthing to think about
Daniel thinks about a great many things. His podcast is the next best thing to actually speaking with him in person. Great podcast that's not cookie cutter.

    Great informative podcast
I've been listening to the podcast for a couple of years now and still enjoy the fresh content each week. Each podcast is short and concise making it easily digestible in one sitting. Not only great for news on infosec and security but in upcoming technology in general.

Always learning interesting things from this podcast.
Fantastic. Every episode contains tons of interesting infosec news, as well as links to a few fun (tech-related) human interest stories, plus the occassional book recommendation, all of which I'd never come across otherwise. Plus, I appreciate that each episode is infused with just enough of Daniel's point-of-view and opinion to keep things interesting, even though I sometimes disagree with him. This has quickly become one of my very favorite podcasts. If you're in tech, subscribe to this podcast now. You'll be glad you did.

Very informative and thought provoking podcast
Unsupervised learning is a great way to consolidate a week's worth of infosec/appsec news and information into a single program. Nice format and thoughtful content curation create a podcast that is both extremely informative and very respectful of my time, and consistently leaves me with new information and insights into what's going on in the technology and security spaces from a proven and highly-regarded Information Security thought leader.

Ammo for your next vendor party small talk
If you're not one of the lucky few that can call up Daniel and ask him to go have coffee, this is the very next best thing. His insights on a myriad of topics always help me be the most interesting person at an R7 host bar party.
  • BlankStairs
    Largely overrated
Above average when talking tech. Wildly inconsistent and simply at odds with logic when he strays into philosophy. Think of it this way - a tech dude trying to be a humanities renaissance man with having done any real, in depth study. I tried him for awhile and just couldn't take the lame non tech discussion. Promising, but a fail is how I'd describe this podcast.

    Stay abreast without much unrest
Daniel's an expert for a reason, he lives it. This podcast makes it simple to stay on top of #infosec happenings as well as other important info.

Instead of "bunch of guys talking" this is one guy talking
Some interesting topics, but terrbly presented. Inventing the scrip of this podcast on the fly... Stream of conciousness. Sounds like way too liitle preparation before the podcast. Some recommendations: Think about what you're going to say before staring. Maybe wirte a script. If you have a script already, then practice it before you record. "That's just my impression."
