    heartbreakingly informative.
really needed a resource like this podcast to understand the people’s history in digestible terms / how gentrification continues to penetrate our society today. jacobin delivers as always.

A history lesson we ended now more than ever
An inspirational story of strength, perseverance and the power of organizing in the face of the depredation of a few of America’s best. Keep up the hard work

    Great show!
Maybe this whole leftism thing isn’t so bad after all? Just checked out a copy of The 18th Brumaire from my local library, really digging it!

    All these reviews sound fake
The podcast is okay, but definitely not life changing or any of that. I don’t get why the reviews are so full of wows & such.

A new valuable way to learn about history
I have been a long time fan of both history and urbanism. Over the years I have grown bored with the “great man” narrative in other history podcasts, so I am very excited to listen and learn from the perspective of the masses and the oppressed! If you consider yourself to be a “history buff” to any degree, you should definitely give this podcast a try!

    For real people's history heads
Do you yearn for original, investigative research? Specifically for stories set during the sociopolitical tumult of the 1960s? Do you feel ignorant about housing policy in the United States and find the mainstream narratives around “urban renewal” incomplete? Do you love podcasts and seek new content? Content that educates and thrills? Then check out this podcast!! Learned so much about this incredible moment in the 1960 when ordinary people came together to fight for dignified life for their families. You ca tell an incredible amount of original research went into this. Highly recommended and looking forward to hearing the rest of the season!

    Thank you.
I really appreciate this discussion. It’s the first thing I’ve listened to in a while that makes me consider with greater complexity my own stances on gun control and how I might best help fight for social and economic justice.
