TCKH53Great music, somewhat problematic.I wanted to love this but have some issues with the themes. The first episode espouses toxic positivity, with the mother owl telling her family to “just be happy” instead of working through tough emotions, like disappointment and hurt feelings. Throughout the episodes, there’s this dynamic of reactive father and wise mother, which just plays into harmful gender roles/stereotypes that we should be moving away from. The families are all your typical mom, dad, two kids… why reinforce the norm? Why not do something inclusive? There’s a lot of talent and choice out there - so I see no reason to keep listening to something that, while not totally bad, doesn’t create an inclusive atmosphere to teach my kids about different types of families, inclusivity, and healthy coping mechanisms. Ultimately 3 stars for the score and the fact that my daughter enjoyed it, and it’s new enough that I hope the creators can do some reflection, research, and evolve it into a more thoughtful podcast for kids.

sandie nowellBeautifully done.A wonderful series for children. It is beautifully done and the content is perfect for young children. Having been in the pre-school profession as a teacher and director I highly recommend it. This sweet family of owls continues to bless our children with lessons of positivity and inclusion in a way that young children can understand. Each episode brings a lesson of love and grace that helps our children put these concepts into action. It’s the kind of uplifting message that young children need in this world of chaos and mixed messages. Thank you Wonkybots! Please keep these ‘wise little owl” episodes coming❤️

humandsharpSorry but...Sorry but, honestly the podcast is pretty slow. I check the podcast some of the time but only two so far. I found the podcast and I think it’s cool. It’s teaching kids a LOT about quarantine and I think it’s great. The first star is for the teaching, the second is the the fact that the podcast is a nice kid-friendly podcast. So, the rest of the stars are for 3: time, 4: episodes, 5: how interesting it is. (Honestly, it’s pretty good. Not all the way to the 5th. So, if I could, I would put half a star). So that is what I think. I’ve got an idea...1: 🙁 2: 🤨 3: 😗 4: 😂 5: 🤩. That’s my idea. Put that emoji if you think that and remember, what the things that are rated for. (I really made it up but please). And remember that you can put in ANY order. So those are my little things. Ok. 👋🏻 bye!

This story will not only help your little ones to understand what’s going on right now, but feel safe afterward. It shows that we are all in this together and that by sharing our feelings and being here for one another we will get through this. I highly recommend this for anyone with little ones.

Gray macFantastic for the KiddosAs I am sitting home with my Kindergartner, this story is absolutely perfect for explaining that all her feelings are ok, and everyone is having a hard time adapting, even dads! With the added tip of of a calming exercise tucked inside. She loved it! I will definitely be sharing with the other parents in her class.
