It's a Wonderful Lie imagines the messy stories hidden behind the perfect holiday newsletters. Of course, we’re reading between the lines— but that’s the fun of the podcast.It’s for anyone who has rolled their eyes at receiving a Christmas update.

When this show first launched, I was in a bad place (I’m sure we can all relate) but instead of bringing up soured memories, re-listening every year breathes a breath air into the busy and stressful holiday season. I always wish for more each year and with the addition of a teaser for another show in November I was really hopeful! Though that recent activity on this show’s page didn’t lead to a 2023 season it seems, I still love listening back and appreciating the levity during this time of year. It gets me through the manufactured pleasantries and relentless well wishes!

These gave us our Covid Christmas joy and since then, listening to them is a holiday tradition at our house. We’ve been wishing for more, enjoying old episodes, and hoping the old episodes stay available. I understand that you may have moved onto other projects but know that if you make a 2024 season, it will fill many hearts with the joy and magic of the season.

LOVE THIS PODCAST!

Absolutely love this podcast. Happened upon it when listening to Crime Junkie and had to check it out. As always, Ashley Flowers is amazing, but her co-hosts are just as amazing. They are all hilarious and I love that I can get ready for the holiday season while laughing my butt off! Was SUPER DISAPPOINTED that there wasn’t one this year. 😢😢 Hoping and praying there is one in 2023. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
