I couldn’t even get through one episode of this podcast because of the frustrating lack of knowledge demonstrated during their review. (As an example from the review of Spyfall pt. 1) The Master has had a Tardis going back to the original series and Missy and the John Simm Master even talk about their Tardis in The Doctor Falls episode. (So no excuse by saying you never watched the original series). Also, The Master is a Time Lord, who just like the Doctor will be different from one regeneration to the next, then consider how the Master has cheated his regeneration cycles and he/she would be even more unhinged. Sacha Dhawan’s performance was absolutely brilliant!!! I did like the personalities of the reviewers but, I just wish they had a better understanding of Doctor Who and its history. I like listening to these type of podcasts to get more insight on episodes but, can’t get past the fact that they miss on so much of the easy stuff.

I don’t need my podcasts to gush over every episode, and I enjoy intellectual analysis. But the minuscule picking apart of your reviews are affecting my enjoyment of the show.

Not sure about all of you, but this show has had a profound impact on my life. I was hooked from watching my first episode while making confetti cartridges for a confetti blower for my friends magic business (true story). I even started going to conventions every year on my wedding anniversary with my wife (her idea surprisingly) and meeting several former Doctors/companions and more importantly other Whovians. After all these years of experiencing wondrous things related to Doctor Who and having many conversations about it, I find my relationship with the show undefinable. I can tell you this: One favorite thing of mine is listening to you all on this podcast. Thank you for taking the time to do this, from the bottom of my both of my hearts :)

Y’all have commented on CC’s productions have a political/social commentary. I 100% agree. However, what I have yet to hear is that in each episode the over-arching commentary is, that even if you feel justified. The ends DO NOT always justify the means. It seems that you are reading his commentary as a possible criticism of more right or conservative platform. It seems to me that he is going even beyond that. I believe in KERBLAM! As well as Demons of Punjab you had a young person aggressively trying to establish there view. This could be a criticism of ANTIFA. In short, I think to assume that CC is pointing the finger at view more right of center is actually dumbing down his message. Thank you! PS my insta is not Dave Child because I am not Dave Child

I love Afterbuzz and all the panelist but I had to unsuscribe because I love Doctor Who so much. Each week I would find myself loving an episode excited to listen to a what my fellow Whovians have to say and each week to my dismaythe hosts would spend the hour talking about what they did NOT like about the episode. It started to affect my enjoyment of the show so I had to unsuscribe. These hosts love the show, I get it but the negativeity was being inceptioned into my mind. There are flaws in every show AfterBuzz covers but the Hosts don't spend the whole time talking about what they didn't like about it. I truly love Afterbuzz and all the recaps, I just can't anymore.

I love listening to all your discussions and analyses about Doctor Who every week, and even more so because this podcast panel combines some of my favorite people from other Afterbuzz podcasts. Keep it up, guys! :)

Love seeing the that there is a podcast waiting to listen to the next morning. Afterbuzz has a wide range of shows and a good group of host. Even the ones that might not connect with you right way will grow on you because these are people there because they are fans of the shows they are hosting.

As an after show this crew can't wait to share the things they hated about the previous episode. Every positive observation is followed by a negative one. You know that friend who complains all the time? You know how you can't stand that friend. This show is that friend. Also, they theorize the dumbest, irrelevant ideas then complain about those ideas. Complain, complain, complain. Just review the show, theorize based on empirical evidence, and move on!

I discovered Afterbuzz last year but didn't go looking for Doctor Who until a couple of weeks ago. I'm still listening to season 8 podcasts so I'm not all the way through yet but I am loving these after shows! I really love listening to the predictions and seeing how close to truth they came. I'm going back and watching old episodes now because you all have pointed out some things I missed/don't remember. Love love love you here and on the Agents of Shield podcast! You're awesome!

Even though Dr Who is on hiatus at the moment, I find myself missing one of my favorite Afterbuzz TV panels! Seriously, you guys rock! But at least I can still catch you on Grimm right now! :)

Great show… You know Who. It is nice to see that I am not the only one confused, frustrated, and amazed by the ins and outs of past and recent developments in the Who-verse. I’ve just been introduced to the AfterBuzz network and am happy to see podcasts dedicated to many of my favorite shows. While some casts are too painful to get through, I look forward to the next season of Who and the AfterBuzz to follow. BTW, I enjoyed Clara O. and while not saddened by her time-locked death, she will be missed. Clara and Amy are my top Who companions...

Recently found Afterbuzz and then the Doctor Who podcasts! What a fun way to geek out over the new episodes! The panel is smart and fun, and you make a long commute seem so much shorter.

I love Zach and all of his podcasts but…. Yael Tygiel is killing you especially for the “heaven Sent” episode. Yael derails the flow of this podcast every 30 seconds for some type of self serving statement or to pat herself on the back for something. I almost never give reviews(and usually only positive) but her behavior on this podcast has driven me to write a negative review. Get her into the flow of the discussion, give her some rules to follow about staying on the point the team is currently discussing because this is an example where she totally derailed the conversation. The only time I have heard her worse is when she discusses the christmas season. all her personal agendas and bias negatively affect the programs.

Ex.........ex...........excellent podcast! Makes my day go by much quicker. Cleaning pools can get a little boring and this podcast makes the drive between stops enjoyable.

Love it. These hosts + this show = epic greatness!

Listening to the Christmas review and you spoke about wolf and Ian and how wolf might have been from the subconscious because of bad wolf. Ian was actually the name of the dude companion with the first doctor. They say in the last episode of last season that there will be a lot of call backs from the past (just the favorites). Keep that in mind while you are watching this. Good job.

I'm so glad the Classics are back with a new panel. I do have to ask if you guys are going to be re-doing the stories that Matt and his panel did? While Afterbuzz did technically already do stories like Spearhead from Space and so on, I feel like this panel is more in tune with the classic run and it would be great to hear your thoughts on these great stories as well! Keep up the great work!

I love getting to hear reactions to classic & new Dr. Who. Making me go back & remember why I love Dr. Who while making my 3 hours a day in my car to/from work bearable. The insights are great & I pretty much always end up agreeing with Megan. Thanks to Megan, Tauri, Dave Klein, & Katie I've become addicted to so many aftershows! At least one of them is on all of the podcasts I listen to!

I've been catching up on your s7 and 8 reviews for the past few days (I have an extremely boring job) and I love your podcast so much because the places on the Internet I currently go to discuss DW have become so hateful and negative about the show. I like how you guys can be disappointed or critical of an episode without being so hyperbole about it. I love that I can share in your excitement and wonder and relive those seasons. You guys obviously love the show and want to see it succeed! Keep up the good work!

At this end of Season 8, I returned to earliest podcasts of Afterbuzz with Matt and Ruth. This podcast was been on their game from the beginning. Not silly and yet the hosts do not take themselves too seriously. Perfect reflections on the plot and filmmaking for casual fan or diehard Whovians.

Thank you very much for making my first season of live watching Doctor Who so enjoyable. If only season 8 had been as enjoyable as your podcast, I really loved your theories and comments each and every episode. Season 8 had its moments but overall it just makes Moffat look tired with little coming as a surprise. I don't expect him to give away plot in interviews but he could say just watch. Rule #1 isn't that the Doctor lies, it's that Moffat lies... and does so exceptionally badly. The Missy/Master reveal was so obvious and he really made a joke of his own writing with the whole key situation. His own previous stories (and others) make the fear unfounded and surely if Clara knew where he hid his keys she would've known too he didn't need them. I would like to say I have hope for season 9 but the fact that Gallifrey is a constant tease with no resolution makes for a bitter disappointment and I certainly won't hold my breath because unlike the Doctor, I don't have a respitory bypass. That being said, the part with the Brigadier was a nice touch but for me was too little, too late. But anyway, great show and I'm really enjoying the Classic Who shows as well.

I love how I can listen to what other people think about Doctor Who and can help me to clear up anything that I might have missed during the show. You guys are awesome and thank you for making such a great podcast!

This is by far the best Doctor Who podcast I have listened to. Everyone on the show actually knows what they are talking about and no one sounds like they are fumbling to find words to say unlike 90% of all of the other podcasts out there. Thank you all so much for a great show.

I was looking for new podcasts reviewing Doctor Who today, randomly chose this one and was absolutely surprised to hear the voice of the lovely Matt Lieberman, whom I know from SourceFed! Awesome commentary, will definitely be tuning in more in the future, as well as listening to plenty of older reviews!

I love this show. The theories are great, for the most part, and the banter is great.

My thoughts on why they have to choose to delete goes back to the season 2 finale when the director of Torchwood was converted to a Cybermen, but she was able to control herself and attack other cybermen. So if they choose delete their emotions can’t override the cybermen system

I'm going to really miss the Afterbuzz Classic DW crew. Four weeks with out you is not right for me. Will be re listening to all of your show til you get back.
