Mann is a D-lister hoping for B-list. This show is for mouth-breathing idiots. Otherwise, you’d have a more fulfilling time sucking on an egg.

I discovered The Modern Mann fairly recently and am bowled over by Olly Mann’s insightful interviews, each of which gives us a different perspective on the human condition. Olly is sensitive and smart, but not at all smarmy or arrogant. As for his cohosts, Ollie Peart and Alix Fox, their segments are fresh, informed, and amazing. The intrepid Ollie takes on a new listener-supplied challenge each month and reports back the facts and findings with humor, honesty and heart. The equally game Alix Fox explains sexual matters with such authority and positivity—she opens up new worlds and, well, I wish everyone would listen to her segment. Olly, Ollie and Alix have terrific rapport and I always look forward to this show. Wish it were on more frequently. Now I’m off to buy them a beer….

I’ve been a long time listener to Olly’s original podcast “Answer Me This” one he started fresh out of Uni. Now he’s a husband and father and a homeowner - it feels like I’ve listened to him “grow up” via podcast. Like AMT - The Modern Mann podcast has moments of silliness and irreverence. But it also tackles difficult and serious subjects. Olly treats all his interviews with such respect & empathy; no matter how harrowing or traumatic their stories. You’ll really get a bit of everything in this podcast! You’ll laugh, you’ll cry - and maybe even learn something new! Check it out !

I am a long time listener to Answer Me This, yet I put off following The Modern Mann, which a big mistake. This is Olly at his best. I would have thought that I wouldn't like the magizine format in a podcast but this works so well. Good features with enteraining presenters wrapped around a centerpiece of a story that truly is unique and worhty or being called a center piece. #Modern Mann #AnswerMeThis #TheAllusionist my go to drivetime listening

I started listening to this podcast after hearing about it on the long running podcast Answer Me This. I am so glad I did because I now look forward to every episode and it really helps keep me entertained and awake on my many, many long drives. I live in a remote part of Montana, USA with the nearest grocery store being about a 4 hours drive round trip, so it’s great having something entertaining, engaging and dare I say educational. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put in!

Olly reminds me of the fella on Peep Show: very fast. A quintessential wit only from the UK, begun by the Pythons. Just love it as extemely relatable, even from Pennsylvania. Us American Mann fans would rather you not translate for us. We got Eastenders, Lovejoy etc, we Get every word from you and Ollie, and Martin and Helen. Thank you.

I had to check the length of the show to tell you that it's 40 minutes because I would have guessed closer to 20. The topics are great, the banter is fun and the guests are interesting. I found this show through Answer Me This and am binging through the seasons. Host Ollie Mann is charming and engaging, as are co-hosts Ollie Peart and Alix Fox. The production is first class—both of the content and the dialogues—and the topics are in-depth without dragging into tedious. Mostly though, I'm doing this so that I can be Mannbassador for The Commonwealth of The Bahamas. —Dominic

Your show is great and I tell friends to check it out. I don’t think anyone will ever top Answer Me This though. Just as with The Allusionist, I feel a small tinge of discontent when I listen to the Modern Mann. There is a special magic when the three of them get together. How about interviewing Helen and Martin on your show (separate episodes of course, but with everyone in the room both times)? Keep it up either way! Like many of the other commentators, I came to this podcast on the strength Answer Me This. Despite being well outside the show's expected demographic, and an American, to boot, I find the program informative, interesting, and very entertaining. Olly is a good interviewer and has excellent and unexpected guests. This podcast nicely complements Helen's The Alluisionist in that both hosts get to show off their individual strengths that they bring to make Answer Me This the excellent podcast that it is.

I started listening after finding out about the podcast through Answer Me This. It's a great format, and just the right length and mix of content. I hope it continues to grow!

The Modern Mann podcast is a three segment magazine format - on topics for the modern man as it says on the cover. I could see a woman liking this too, though. Always witty, often really funny, and at times really thoughtful too. The content is tightly packed compared to the rambling monologue norm. At the end of each episode I'm left hoping it was longer.

If you have problems trying to understand today's world, try this podcas for a change. Each week it will get you up to date with the latest trends, help you with your sex life with some Q&A, and present you with an insightful interview with fascinating people.

As a twenty year old woman in the US I'm pretty sure I check none of the boxes for target audience, but I still love it. The interviews are interesting and the banter is good.

I just love that Olly Mann. He is the perfect mix of journalist and juvenile. Totally enjoy each and every episodes. If I had any money I would buy him a beer!! Keep it up.

Always interesting podcasts with an engaging host

Olly, Olli, and the Fox provide funny weekly commentary on weekly events in the zeitgeist, sexual health and life tips in the fox hole and a third section that focuses on a novel field. This week's was on adult entertainers in gentlemen's clubs and I couldn't be more delighted. More specifically, americans were described as overall decent people and that was really nice to hear. Some day I will buy these guys a beer and I hope some of you will too. Cheers.

I am hardly modern - and I am no man - and yet I enjoy this podcast whole-heartedly. The episode with the new fathers really hit me right in the feelings. I recommend this to anyone who likes good things.

A solid quick format, with fun and interesting segments. The sex advice is intriguing and helpful, the zeigiest segment is fun and silly! Olly Mann fans can't go wrong with this podcast! Jim from Guam.

A great podcast that is worth checking out. Humor, advice, and interesting interviews. The only change I would ask for is that they explain terms or events to those that are not British. For example, the most recent episode talked about amusement parks and bad media coverage, but did not give any idea about what the negative media coverage was about. Keep up the good work.

Olly Mann's "The Modern Mann" podcast has just returned for its 2nd season and one of the highlights of my Podcasting Week Olly's show is a kind of aural weekly "Men's" magazine show with Olly usually conducting a central interview with recent topics including a giy who builds Roller Coaster, a Male Model and a former Warzone Photographer. These interviews are worth the download time alone Bookending the interview, is another Olly (Piert??) who attempts to bring the week's zeigeist but in a fun way. At the other side is Alix Fox, a Sexpert who wil discuss matters as diverse a "Wankbank" fantasies and "Sex with Mermaids", maybe not that diverse :) As a non-English speaker and not living in the UK I sometimes have to research somethings (like "Wankbank") but I really enjoy each weeks episode

I love the tone of this podcast. Definitely not just for men. A bit of fun for a rainy day.

Top notch podcast listening for Washington, D.C. In the United States

As an unabashed Anglophile this Minnesotan woman cannot get enough of Olly Mann, Ollie Peart & especially Alix Fox. Now I've got to invest in Whisky and take a trip to California for a burger. I've been binge-listening at work (WITH HEADPHONES) and I'm so sad I'm nearly through them all. Keep it up!

I am an absolutely rabid podcast consumer, and for me to put a podcast in my "must listen" queue is very hard to do. This is in my top 3 - and was since day 1. I am a gigantic fan of 99% Invisible, and Roman Mars turned me onto Answer Me This. From AMT, I heard about The Modern Man - and the formula is perfect. I can't believe that until this point nobody has done something like this. The podcast is a mix of news events, pop culture, tech, life-hacks, story-telling, advice, and relationship/sex information. Think of it as a blend of current news items from Fresh Air, the story telling from This American Life, the "ah-ha" moments of 99% Invisible, topped with some insights from Dr. Drew Pinsky. It's not just for men - women should enjoy this as equally. Olly - well done. Superb actually. I don't know how you opened the lid to my head and saw what the gaps were - but this is it! Perfect - don't change a thing.

I love the Answer Me This Podcast and all of the projects that the hosts and sandman have sun off. Olly is quite funny and astute as an interviewer and his interviews are authentic and thought provoking. It’s a casual Podcast that still has high production and provokes thoughts on prison rethinking the phrase “bag of dicks.”Great in every way, I look forward to a second season.

The Modern Mann has very quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. This is a really well done, thoughtful podcast that always covers a great mix of topics. I love that I get to hear about things that I wouldn't seek out information on myself, such as investing in whiskey or preparing for fatherhood, and the conversations are always really interesting! And I absolutely agree that it's not just for men, or for people in the UK, for that matter! I am a woman living in Texas and I love it!

I fell in love with Olly listening to Answer Me This and that love has only grown deeper with The Modern Mann. He brings a healthy skepticism, genuine interest, and boyish charm to every segment on the show. I could listen to him, Ollie, and Alex for hours. Bring it on!

I figured the show would be good based on other Olly Mann stuff (BBC, LBC, Answer Me This), but The Modern Mann far exceeded my expectations. It really is like the podcast version of a fun "trends/gadgets/lifestyle" magazine. With lots of different segments in each show (that was unexpected!). I agree with the previous reviewer who said it wasn't just for guys...my wife enjoys it quite bit too.

I’m not sure I’ve heard an “audio magazine” before, but that’s exactly what this is. Interesting and funny segments on trending topics. If you like Olly on Answer Me This, you’ll absolutely enjoy this show.

Unfortunately much of media aimed at "men" ends up really being aimed at the lowest common denominator (i.e. "Bro culture"). Enter the Modern Mann! A true man's podcast which is interesting and fun to listen to! If you, like me, enjoy Answer Me This, you'll enjoy this podcast just the same! So far I've got a couple good places to try for burgers next time I drive up to San Francisco, and motivation to try whiskey one last time. I probably won't like it any more, but I'll feel a tad more informed this time and that's got to count for something. I'd probably listen to Olly read the phone book... If such a thing exists anymore and probably only until the Bs, but I'd still give it a go. (As an aside, if you don't listen to Answer Me This, get on it! You'll end up following Olly here and Helen to the Allusionist too). Is it poor to cross-plug in a review? Well I've done it. Take that iTunes! So Olly, can I be the podcast's designated US ambassador? Great show and thanks for making content for the real modern men(n) out here!

I've been a huge fan of Answer Me This! for quite some time and was pleasantly surprised when I heard Olly was starting a new podcast. As a woman listener, I find The Modern Mann to be witty, insightful, and quite informative. There’s definitely a little bit of everything for everyone here.

I've listened since the show aired, and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a woman and I started listening because I was curious about what a show for men would be about, and what sort of sex questions men ask, haha. It's an interesting show that is both honest and entertaining.
