    Calacanis is an idiot
He got lucky once (with Uber) and thinks he’s an all-star. The reality is that many (perhaps) most) people in Silicon Valley know he’s a charlatan. Most people on Wall Street know he is an idiot.

    All advertising
Just a total waste of time. I guess JCal’s investing hasn’t gone so well so he needs to cheapen the podcast with ads every five minutes to grab a few more pennies.

    Ok
    Great job

    Politically driven
I was looking for a business blog that wasn’t political. Sadly the views of the host color the commentary and spin too much.

    Where are the chapters?
Hey JCal, world’s greatest podcast host is good and all, but part of the podcast experience is how it plays on my side. That includes the ability to skip parts I don’t want to listen to. Adding timestamps is not enough because some podcast players don’t parse them out into chapters. You have a production team, do the work. Thanks!

Great show; Wished video version was available on Apple Podcast
Usually end up finding out new episode is available on Apple Podcast app but then going to YouTube to watch. Wish video version was available here as well :/

I like, but just one minor grievance
Stop talking about how big the All in Podcast is on here, it’s embarrassing. The more successful you become the more humble you become. That’s the rule. Otherwise, it’s lame and gross and is a bad look. Otherwise, I enjoy learning about AI developments. And I like you and think you are funny.

    Long time fan
I’ve been listening to TWiST for several years and have seen it go through changes, some good, some not so good. I really enjoy the interviews Jason does with founders and investors, and his takes on current event and news. I didn’t love the addition of Molly, though at the same time I thought she was a good co-host and I appreciated her perspective. I do find it unfortunate that there was clearly an acrimonious divorce, despite neither party acknowledging it (and not even announcing her departure for at least a week when it was totally obvious; very bizzare), but I like that the show is getting back to what got me listening in the first place.

Jason has become quite good at interviewing
Update (4/27/2023): The last two shows hosted by Jason, solo, EXCELLENT!! Early shows were not so good as Jason's ego got in the way. But, like a fine wine, he has evolved and now offers listeners an informative and entertaining show. UPDATE: J-Cal has become awesome and I love the show. However, we now have to listen to the other host with her distorted and obviously jaded California entitled-we-know-more-than-you-people attitude! HUMILITY young lady. I lived in Palo Alto long before your parents ever considered your existence. Memo to you Molly NoCAL, correction, AnywhereCal - it’s not that great. The way you phrase words matters and your little snide remarks and digs at anything not in your political or social color pallet is terribly disrespectful, ignorant and unprofessional. There are a lot of podcast choices out there … if your intension is to appeal only to a select group of the 7 million in the Bay Area, keep it up because you will successfully aliente the rest of us ~ 7B.

As Jason got red pilled the shows quality has gone down.
This show has had a lot of ups and downs. I have been listening since 2015. The last year has been wild. As Jason got red pilled the quality has gone down, but I still like to tune in. The educational aspect of twist is gone, but it’s still entertaining.

    Less is More
I’ve been listening to This Week in Startups for four years now. I loved it from the start. Jason is so smart and cut throat which is what tech founders need. I think with his connections and great contacts he has the best spread of topics to talk about with knowledge. I hated Molly Wood being a host, she would just try to play devils advocate with everything Jason said with no actual knowledge or experience. She would ruin most shows with her crazy leftist thought process. I’m glad Jason got rid of her and now back to full speed ahead with great topics, guests and insights. The best in tech/investing podcast there is.

    Jcal is back
Glad the pod dropped the gossip and is back to business and tech
  • Inational_Art
    Re followed show
Glad you are back to old format without the old temporary guest host experiment

Good content but too many ads
The content and insights are good but the ridiculous number of imbedded ads make this only an occasional listen now. Jason ‘cash grab’ Calacanis has gone too far !

A Fan of This Week in Tech, DTNS and All-in
Been listening to tech news since there was a tech tv and just crave tech news and would love to make a living in the startup lifestyle. I first heard about Jason when he was on an episode Leo Laporte’s show years ago and actually asked permission to start a podcast This Week inStartups. I never checked up on Jason until Molly joined. Molly is smart but she is not nice. She is not humble, she wants to be your boss. I’ve been listening to her since Buzz out Loud. Seriously Molly, how are you going to hate “tech bros”? Jason is incredibly humble and I’m thankful for Molly bringing attention to Jason’s pod and I now listen yo All-in. I love Jason’s back of the napkin math and think he’s a low-key genius. I wish all the episodes he did quick math was labeled so we could easily sort and check it out and profit thereby. Peace and goodwill to all.

    Do better
Listening to you talk about tech makes my ears bleed. I’m happy for you - clearly you’ve made a name for yourself and based on all the convos about your multiple houses and superior ski trips it seems like you’re doing great. But can we stop pretending like the fact that you were in the right place at the right time has any bearing on the current state of the industry? I appreciate the news you share not your opinions about it

    Missing Molly
I learned about this podcast when Molly Wood joined. Now it’s insufferable without her to balance all the bloviating. The content is sometimes useful and interesting, but it’s not worth all the ads.

    Ad free?
I now remember why I stopped listening to this podcast… The conversation is constantly interrupted by ads. I get that you have to oay for the show. Other content creators seem to be managing this requirement a less intrusive manner

More 1:1 interviews with Jason and guests
More 1:1 interviews with Jason and accomplished guests, less surface level gossip from Molly.

    Cringe hot takes
I want to like this. It’s just too tiring and life is too short. The show presents good topics of discussion but unfortunately regularly devolves into judgmental and opinionated hot takes. It’s one thing to have an opinion - but when it clouds your intellect it’s not a good look. Episode 1677 is an example. Jason uses the word “woke” which then triggers Molly into going off in a rant about how that’s a derogatory term used by people who don’t care about other people’s feelings, and then proceeds to single out a race and gender as being the issue (the irony). No biggie right, but this episode is about bias in AI, particularly ideological bias on the part of people involved with model implementation and guard rails (eg censorship). A point of discussion begins to center around whether subjectivity is appropriate for ai generated responses. However there seems to be obvious tone deafness (subjectivity) in picking examples over which ideological targets are subjectively answered and therefore inappropriate. The irony. TLDR: this is like listening to NPC hot takes of the news. It’s a shame because they could be so much more if they allowed their own views evolve more often.

    Nothing but advertisements
How do people listen to this? It’s just ads nonstop.

Sacks the Undertaker Choke Slams TWIST Cast
Sacks body bagged Jason in the latest All-In episode, though, this I suppose isn’t anything new... BUT it reminded me that JCal can only differentiate himself when his surrounding by people that are only at the level of Molly or below. Sacks also said that All-In ratings outsmoke TWiST. Has to be because TWiST is weight down by Molly. And other than JCal, All-In is a star studded podcast. Except when JCal is sick. His most reasonable points are made when his sick. In any case, JCal should just phase out this podcast.

    You lost me
Was loving you 2 until the vaccine talk. People dying in the hospital are not vaxxed. Check your info. Also, jason, you sung a different tune about this on all in.

    No longer valuable
I used to listen consistently for many years. Lately, I skip most episodes and end up abandoning most I start. Except when there’s interesting guest, content is mostly banal, surface level and gossipy, with many ad interruptions. I miss the deeper and insightful conversations that kept me loyal listener for years. At this rate, I may unsubscribe altogether.

    Molly Wood is great!
Molly is a real star. I miss her on Market Place. The guy is a real dumb dumb who thinks he is smart because he has money. Real cringe.

    All self promotion
Would love more coverage of non-Jason-port-cos.
  • Lingrush24
    Lost its focus
This podcast used to be about new ideas accomplishing good in the world. Now it’s about crypto. The new format uses up more and more of my precious podcast time but spends less and less of that time discussing actual startups.
  • Deforest10
Molly Wood is simply bad at this
Molly Wood is bad at podcasting/conducting a conversation/adding value. She continually interrupts and talks over Jason, derailing excellent trains of thought. Her vocabulary consists of “bonkers,” “ridiculous,” “crazy,” which have no real meaning in context and add zero value to thought or discussion. The image Molly chose of Christine McCarthy was cruel and stupid, really shows the interior life of who Molly is, she’s not a good fit for Jason. She brings the whole format down.

    Revert to prior format
Two updates needed to get me listening again. 1) remove co-host. Enough has been said in the comments already. 2) go to a 3x a week format. Stopped listening because there are way too many episodes.

    Love the Crypto Roundup Episode
Why Genesis is more concerning than $GBTC segment was insightful. I agree with the skepticism that your panel shares on Genesis loses.

    Love your show
As a startup tech founder and also a managing partner in a VC, I love listening to your pod show. It gives me insights of what’s going on with everyone so I’m always learning and growing.

    MW = Surplus
MW is part of the elite surplus of blue check marks that was mentioned on All-In. That’s why people don’t like her in this show. JCal is the bridge between the 3/4 All-In value-add hosts and the Swisher-like surplus.
  • realtakesonly
    Get rid of MW
I get you are the All-In podcast punching bag. But choosing an unimpressive cohost to make yourself feel better isn’t the right way to deal with things.
  • thebeanguy2022
    Cohosts don’t mix
Mollys fan think Jason is too elitist and Jason’s fans think Molly is too socialist/left leaning. I’m a Jason fan but I can see how Molly fans are just as frustrated. Started listening to this podcast in early 2021 but now I just listen to All-In as of mid 2022.
  • zachwoodward
    less celeb and political gossip
Fan since the Kanye intro song. Went to first Launch conf. Thank you for the podcast. Would like hear less about celebs and politics however.

    Show WAS great. Now boring.
This show was a lot better in the past when it was less often and just covered startups and interesting companies. I don’t particularly want to hear molly or Jason’s views on random news. Get back to talking startups and Silicon Valley insider stuff.

    Co-host detracts from quality
Show was great when it was just interviews — cohost detracts from convo quality.

    good information but...
i appreciate Jason for creating this pod! the informations are priceless and the guests are top notch! i learned a lot from this pod but.... Molly "Karen" Wood can be very distracting with her tangents, so much that it derails from the topics that they were originally discussing and thus ruins the flow of the conversations for me. Jason is doing an exceptional job in reeling her back in and going back to topic. i still listen because of the information and just try to fast forward through "Karen's" rants and tangents.

An “I’m better than you” attitude
Great info / discussions about start ups, angel investing & market dynamics. But, wow. Molly ruins the whole vibe with nothing but animosity towards any political leaning to the right of super-progressive left. I don’t think most listeners are here for that; at least I’m not. It’s kind of a shame because they have great synergy with each other and the conversation flows very well with tech / market news. It’s almost like she’s touting an “I’m better than you” attitude to anyone who doesn’t think or have crafted opinions exactly like hers. Tone down the obvious political skew a little and I think the pod would be top notch. Wishing the best of luck to Jason & Molly!

This Week in Fake Political Outrage
Been listening to Jason since the beginning. Sorry to say but since Molly joined, I find myself skipping episodes or fast forwarding through others. I want to hear about startups and building businesses, not woke political crap. Stop with the PC takes and just give the startup/business news.
  • KevinsReviews
    Good but could be better
Good show. Jason is great. Molly is good on tech, but wish she wouldn’t make things political unnecessarily

    Balanced, funny, and informative
I love the addition of Molly Wood. I feel her and Jason together are a great balance. I recommend this show to all my clients. Great stuff!

Molly on the pod is unbearable
How can a socialist Molly be on a podcast about the market and startups….

    First time long time…
Jason and Molly. First time reviewer, long time listener. Shame on me but love your work. This is my river guide to the venture market as an allocator - these timely insights are invaluable for investors far from the valley (TX).

He knows it all because he’s seen it all
JCal has been in startup world for decades and it’s always interesting to hear his takes (even the ones I disagree with). The depth of his experience makes this a must-listen pod for me
