king of the Jews 33Woke Trash and Red FlagsđŠâŚ Henryâs creepy obsession with talking about child PedophiliaThe only silver lining I can find is: thankfully these idiots will not reproduce Hopefully theyâre poisoned values and worldview will die with them

Project811Once greatAs others have pointed out, this podcast is another sacrifice at the altar of âliberal ideology above all else.â Most of what they discuss is apolitical, but they have to insert their anti-American, pro-criminal (Luigi was the last straw â seriously?), pro-terrorist perspective into everything.

QrrvjkgxhjlkvgThanks! Can you get Joe Rogan and Kash Patel on the program

Sir Smacks AlotWoke ClownsIâve listened to this podcast for a decade, so itâs actually really sad to finally stop listening. This podcast used to be non political, but now itâs woke garbage. They had a winning recipe and torpedoed it just to inject their leftist narrative. Now I see why the podcasting community constantly throws jabs at these guys.

Hapy fun majik tiemsSubscriptionsSubscription required for Abe Lincoln part 4? You should be ashamed.

KWRNBSNCENLove the Podcast just not the same without BenPlease do not let ED do anymore ads.
-
Trent ToCanât help themselvesCanât help themselves but to disparage republicans as ignorant raging racists. Tiring to listen to. Love this show but it becomes unbearable to listen to when they go down that route.
-
NotnotnotnotmeGross in all the wrong wayThe show has dissolved into commie dribble. Most of the episodes since 2024 are just carefully curated leftists takes on historical topics. Used to be funny and entertaining, now itâs just cherry picking sources to fit a liberal narrative. They do try to sprinkle a few half-hearted jokes to keep you listening between the 8 minute ad breaks.
-
MrPistachioJonesSubscriber for over 10yearsAnd I canât take it anymore with Henry trying to get acting work by spouting off ignorance on the riotsâŚIâve seen you guys live multiple times and canât take it anymore with the alienating of people with beliefs that differ from Henryâs unhinged revolutionary screeds Maybe he hates cops so much because his dad was one

BoscoritoF ICELots of respect for Eddie and Henry for using their platform to support immigrants and peopleâs right to protest! This is what I like to hear! F ICE!

Going Radio RentalGood show butâŚHenryâs act outs donât really work without Ben.

HaniaCMBPretty CooThis podcast is truly witty, insightful, intelligent and a bit of kilter all at once. Iâve listened from the beginning and I plan on listening til the cold dark end. Ed adds an amazing hint of optimism mixed with wit, Henryâs character performances and quirk always get me (I also appreciate the theater kid level of darkness), and Marcus has always struck me as highly intelligent and very thorough if a bit dark himself. The friendship between them is palpable . I also miss Benâs humor but I donât understand a lot of the comments on here - I never write reviews lol but reading some of them has prompted me to do so. I mean⌠no one needs to add to anyoneâs ego but thanks gents for a wonderful show.

TravaramaBeautific!Been listening for years and this podcast has aged like a fine wine and it also pairs well with cheese! Always look forward to the banter and discussions. My one complaint is that there is not nearly enough belching and the sound quality for said belches could use some work. Otherwise love the show! Hail Satan!

ravingrevolutionWell researched and hilariousThe hosts have such a charming dynamic. I genuinely learn so much from every series. Entirely worth a listen.

DanHalen1138Great showGreat show, the best show⌠but man you can just tell when Ed is lying about a story. Itâs not funny, itâs super obvious and I canât stand it. No Iâm not asking for Ben back⌠just want Ed to either not lie, or at least get better at it

Mr.S.MartinBurpsEdâs right. I can do the horror, gore, conspiracy and I canât take seriously the burping.

ScrambledeggshellsMissing somethingI loved this podcast so much Iâve seen it live multiple times. I havenât recently listened. Itâs missing something now. The spark is gone. The broken clock is no longer right twice a day or four times a day. Maybe someday Iâll come back but the creepy magic is gone.
-
Trents85Henry needs to chillHenry is ruining the Abe Lincoln series. I can't pay attention to the story because he is constantly interrupting to do his crummy and irritation impressions of JWB.

Jon Wayne CampbellLeave politics out of showLoved listening to the show till the most recent where bashing a certain political view is unwarranted. Do better

spylibraLove the Show, butI love LPOTL and especially how hard Marcus goes on his research. As a history teacher for the past 34 years; I want to correct a few minor errors. The Emancipation Proclamation did not end slavery in Maryland because it only freed slaves in the rebelling southern states. Maryland, as you correctly stated, did not secede. And American states started abolishing slavery shortly after the American Revolution when American recognized their hypocrisy in calling themselves slaves during the revolutionary period. Some states initiated immediate emancipation while others did it gradually. Thatâs all. Loving the show.

Jenniferlt6LegendaryI have listened for over 10 years. Love these guys. Top tier, losers miss out.

uuehheee</3Used to be my favorite show in the world, then they start acting like theyâre better than their audience

OneTakerUnlistenableIf there are a set of more annoying podcast hosts, who are also slightly racist, then Iâve yet to hear them.
-
Somethingsomething69Constant belchingThis podcast begs the question: âhow many times can I stand listening to Henry vomit up to the back of his throat and swallow it back down?â Dude, you probably have a hiatal hernia or some other medical condition. Go see a physician

Lysistrata_Incredible showIâve never fallen in love with a podcast as much as this one. Marcusâ brilliant, in-depth research and powerful narrativesâcombined with raunchy, deeply politically incorrect, and delightfully dark humourâare a blockbuster combo. If you want to have fun learning about any of a huge range of important historical figures, major moments in paranormal activity/UFOs/conspiracy etc., this showâs for you! Ed is a wonderful addition and Henry is hilarious, although offering us listeners the opportunity to hear a little more from the rest of the team might do the pod some good (sorry Henry, love you!). I do respectfully agree with a number of other reviewers that this may not be the best place for politics, although my views do mostly align with our wonderful podcastersâ. There are increasingly few places where we can come together as a broader community regardless of our political views, and I would love for LPOTL to be one of them. Thank you so much for bringing such joy and knowledge into the world! We need you more than ever in these increasingly âinterestingâ times.

abigbagofbbqchipsWanted to see what the popularity is all aboutYeah, this podcast is one of the worst ones I've heard and I do not understand why it is so popular. Getting actual information is impossible with multiple hosts cracking unfunny jokes and never letting bits die. I don't get it.
-
Rilke2012Henry is a bad writerAs long as Marcus writes the show itâs pretty good. But anything created by Henry is terrible. Heâs an awful writer. Deep Dive Dune or Gud Pud are the most awful things in Apple podcast history.
-
Mister.AmazingNo thank youIf youâre a fan of stories about vulnerable people, real families being torn apart with UnAliveing and SA, while grown men giggle and tell the story with avid enthusiasm, than this is the show for you. The hosts are unremarkable people, weak and useless human beings, who prop up their fragile egos by putting others down.
-
imtifflishInformative Show, BUTI just wish the guy who screams âfunnyâ takes, would tone it down. The screaming is annoying when youâre in the middle of the story. Humor is great, but his approach doesnât work for me. Itâs a great podcast if you just fast forward through the screaming parts.
-
c m tizSomething is amissItâs a vehicle with two engines and no transmission. When they parted ways with Ben they added another quasi Henry rather than a Ben and it doesnât work. Marcus was the vehicle, Henry was the engine, and Ben was the transmission. Ed doesnât navigate the content in the same way Ben was able. Thank you for years worth of incredible dialogue!!
-
Dudismeifurowpqlistening to a bunch of dumb 6th grade boys all trying to tell you a story at the same timeI do think these guys can be funny but they go a little too hard on some of these more intense and horrific cases. Theyâre more focused on the joke than telling the story and itâs not a good look for them. It comes off as really disrespectful of these families and victims. Too many other podcasts have a better balance of jokes, storytelling, and doing right by the victims for this show to be as popular as it is.
-
LaurentremoOne of the best pods out thereIâve been a listener for many years now and the pod still holds up and I love the way itâs evolved. I love the boys đ

ComickookNOSophomoric humor with one of the host cackling in the background .Others do the true crime/ comedy podcast better and with a natural unforced sense of humor .Juvenile rubbish . Cheers.
-
sourApple_1Snowflakes unwelcomeGuess what LPOTL listeners, the hosts donât need to cater to your sensitive disposition. Your dislike of the hosts ârhetoricâ is a personal issue, and not something well adjusted human beings get triggered by.
-
jimbo of rockCanât believe Iâve been listening to this for so long but love it still so muchLove the show. Obviously some episodes are more interesting to me then others. these guys do a incredible amount of reading to get there heads around all these interesting characters and topics and weirdness, Ed is very funny and quick but i do miss Ben. the way he sometimes played moral compass to marcus when he is being gleefully macabre and other times said something inappropriatly dark was wonderful and sorely missed.
-
MJSmith900What used to beâŚIf youâre here to listen to an improv comedy podcast that talks about p**sy and banging your family, give you their political view, and call you stupid or slow for disagreeing then this is the show for you!
-
Reagan Piper RoseWhat is going on?!I havenât a clue what has happened to this show and guys. This used to be my most favorite thing ever! Not just favorite podcast, but most favorite thing. And I loved Marcus, Henry, and (especially) Ed. Not so much now. The hyperbole, fear mongering, and pure contempt for people that donât align with their political views is truly heartbreaking. I hate that this has happened. I wonât stop listening though. I cannot and will not let go of these guys. I still have a fondness for them and I love the LPOTL community. Incredible people!

Soccer dude12345678DownhillUsed to be great. Now itâs a quarter ads and the same tired puns over and over.
-
NanniniMy only podcast.I canât believe Iâve been listening to this show for over a decade. Feel like Iâve grown up with these dudes. I miss Ben but understand the choice. I like Ed, too.
-
Nolt tha boltGot too politicalI used to love this podcast, but I canât stand the constant political grandstanding anymore. I wish theyâd keep all their left-wing rhetoric where it belongsâon Abe Lincolnâs Top Hat, like they used to. Back then, they knew how to separate the show from their soapbox. Now itâs just nonstop preaching, and Iâm done with it.
-
HjärtligtWhat has happened?!I used to love this show, it was always a comfort listen for me. The world is a tough place these days for a lot of people. Lots of their listeners are possibly worried about their jobs, how theyâll afford their rent or mortgage or maybe even if theyâll be able to afford groceries. Itâs possible that like me, they are tuning in to take their minds off the hard/stressful stuff. I say this as someone who is not a fan of the orange one and leans more to the center and in most things to the left, but itâs getting intolerable to listen to them pontificate about things they donât even fully understand as if they are somehow enlightened when in reality they are just living in an echo chamber of their own making. The fact is they are like so many others⌠they like to talk, but that talk isnât actually effecting change, it just makes them feel good. Donât even get me started on Henry! I donât find him entertaining 90% of the time. Until hearing the commercials he does, I didnât actually realize I could be more annoyed by listening to advertisements.
-
MTenonFunny dudes for weird people.Topics that honestly deserve far more serious attention and far fewer jokes. No notes, five stars. ExceptâŚI canât make it through these broken robot kills fellow robots stories. Big time âtrue crimeâ with lots of bodies and lurid details. Just idiotic narcissism then violence. I like the high strangeness and the takes on weird history (surprisingly). I end up skipping a third of the eps, but thatâs just my taste.
-
0xbeepBoopMarcus is insufferableWas an avid listener for years until they ousted Ben. Now no one plays well off of Henryâs bits nor calls Marcus out for being a neckbeard who just goes on long diatribes because he fancies himself a knowitall because he read a book about (insert topic here). Itâs just Ed going âHamâ and âEddietunes.comâ and Henry yelling. It does not get funny the more you repeat it. Ed was great on The Story Must Be Told; Henry is great on The Gud Pud. But LPOTL is lame now. Ben, who started the show, was a necessity. Did he have demons? Yes. But before judging Ben too harshly, letâs not forget that Henry has admitted to committing wire fraud on the show, Ed has been imprisoned for drug offenses, and Marcus has unrepentantly admitted to killing cats(a year ago) and blowing up frogs(as a youth). So who are really the bad people here?
-
SnappyDanisadseems to have kinda lost the plot? not sure what their direction is anymore and it makes the content hard to follow and enjoy

bblatlbblatlHave loved this pod foreverYou canât beat the combo of research and humor in this podcast. If you donât like the hostsâ opinions, đ. Thereâs plenty of right wing trash out there where you can âdo your own researchâ. Also highly recommend any of the live shows. My husband and I welcomed FLâs Biggest Baby home last night at Funny Bones in Orlando and it was amazing. Much â¤ď¸ to Henry and family, hope to catch you next time!

__Ri__đ¸Comfort showIâve been listening for 7 years! A wonderful show that feels like talking with friends. Love yâall.
-
cdwatx92My favorite podcastIâve listened to this podcast for nearly 10 years now. It was the only thing that made me laugh after my mom died. It is wild to hear the boys evolve and grow through the episodes and Iâm very happy with how the show has grown with them. Love Marcusâ passion for knowledge, Henryâs irreverent take on literally everything (even his terrible accents). Ed has been a great addition, his chemistry with the other guys is so natural, you can tell theyâve been friends for decades and I think itâs added a little spark back to the show. If you are looking for a podcast that covers stories of this nature with the sobriety of a pbs documentary this isnât it, you donât have to leave a one star review about you dorks. Hail yourselves đ¤

Jacqorti1Love Ed Larson!Ed Larson is perfect for LPOTL.

YelsneUsed to be amazingThis used to be a great podcast until they turned into a left wing propaganda center. Not to mention the betrayal of removing a beloved host over allegations that were later proven to be false. Very unfortunate. Marcus and Henry are snakes that have to ask their wives how theyâre allowed to think.
