Veronica Belmont & Brian Brushwood can't live without video games. They'd literally die. TWiT's first video game show, Game On, fixes this. They are sustained by playing games and then gleefully bringing you news, reviews, and commentary about console and PC games that you'll get nowhere else. Please watch Game On, it's a matter of life and death.Although the show is no longer in production, you can enjoy episodes from the TWiT Archives.

    Wanted to like it
This show is not for gamers looking for serious discussion on video games or the game industry. I was excited for this show because of other twit podcasts, but I was extremely disappointed after the first episode. The hosts serious lack subject matter knowledge, and every episode plays out like a 3 ring circus. The guy with the spiky hair is trying super hard to be the cool geek, but comes off stereotypical and obnoxious. The interview with Jaffe in Ep1 was a disaster. Both hosts just blurt out random things about games, that are either not factual or completely wrong. Serious gamers are better off watching the Super Mario super show. I could go on but why? Leo was right to axe this train wreck. Nice try but no cigar. I'll stick with The Giant bombast.

    Unique and fun!
Great cast and crew make this hour long live show about video games a unique voice. There is no show like it. Any that preceded it are long gone. Lots of fun here and I like to catch it live on twit.tv on Sundays. It is the same show as the download but I get to see more of the cast and crew which can be lots of fun.

Great Show from a great crew
This show has come a long way from its beginnings, its now become a Sunday Night Highlight. It had a rough start with some sound issues, but now its a lot of fun with great interviews with people like Notch and Felicia Day, and the aftershow Shut Up And Play is a blast. Subscribe!

NOT for adult gamers - Poor hosts
This is a show I decided to try given the success of other TWIT shows in their network. However, this is a VERY poor gaming podcast for a number of reasons. As mentioned by some others, the hosts are just dreadful. Once you get past the 'geee look at me and how funny I am' style of Veronica Belmont, you will see past her thin guise of fake personality. It seems very scripted, like all those award shows on TV and very shallow in terms of real discussion and character. Also, they just don't have a good gamer's show compared to some others out there that have been around much longer. Maybe this style works for some, but if you are an adult I don't see how you can overlook all the phony antics on this show. Unless they get new hosts and really re-do it by starting over, I doubt very much I will listen to this one when there are so many better out there.

    Fun Show
Game On is a fun show about all games on all systems. Hosts are great and keep it fast paced. There are a lot of genre or system focused podcasts if you want that type of thing. Personally listening to unprofessional podcasting fanboys drone on about 1 game is boring. But, well spoken hosts that speak lively about gaming that is fun, this is a good show for you.

Good for Journalists, Bad for Gamers
Where do I start with this show? They have a much larger production budget than most other shows. They also get great guests due to their relation with the TWiT network. The problem is that they do so little with what they have. You can tell that the hosts of the show are not life-time hardcore gamers that you find on many of the other gaming podcasts. You wont find anyone waxing philisophic over spending 70 dollars on Chrono Trigger when they were 12 years old here. You will find people who think they are gamers just because they had a Nintendo and played Mario Bros. as a kid. Personally, I prefer to listen to podcasts that are passionate about games and run by gamers who have had a passion for the industry their entire life (i.e. Retronauts) instead of high production and a more journalistic format. If you want pure gaming news and solid guests in under an hour, this may be the show for you. If you want a good gaming podcast run by people who love games, go somewhere else. This suffers from the same syndrome that Apple fanboys suffer from. They think they are geeks/nerds just because they love their Macbook and iPhone. The rest of us are geeks and nerds because we were rolling around a d20 and building our own computers our whole lives.

GameOn?!?!?!? More like WinOn... your face!!!
Brian Brushwood and Felicia Day bring the weekly news about video games to you in nice tall glass on every Sunday LIVE at 9PM EST on TWiT network with a side of great journalistic interview skills, in your face debates, and so much more . So you can relex and digest the inforamtion one sip at a time LIVE on every Sunday 9PM EST on TWiT network. Edit: Apparently its not Felicia Day and its Veronica Belmont. I would not have made a mistake if they wore name tags. They all look alike.

    A great show
I don't think that people writing the negative reviews know what they are talking about. Not only is Game On a great show that is well produced, but they bring on some great guests that are top notch people in the gaming community. The hosts are awesome and I can tell they actually spend time discussing the games together. The set is sweet and the production crew keeps it all running smoothly. I am a long time listener/viewer of Twit and all it's podcasts. I can honesty say that the Game On crew brings the best of both news and comedy. I find that it is a well informed show such at TNT and funny as all get out like NSFW. Game On is going through what every new podcast does. It is working out the kinks and finding its flow. to this point I give Game On a huge round of applause and ask that they keep the great content coming. I feel that Game On rounds out Twits programming making it a more well rounded network. Thanks to Twit for giving us great programming like Game On!

    Keep up the great show
I pay nothing for this show and get WAY more value for my buck! This is my favorite gaming show since the Techtv days of Extended Play. Great interviews, great segments! What else are you going to watch, Coop!?! Those losers couldn't cut it and had to get real jobs! Brian and Veronica at the real deal. Keep it up and I'll keep watching.
  • kendrome
    Great show
I think the show is great, but somebody seems to have it out for them in the comments. I enjoy their playful style, and yes it is different than other game shows and that is a great thing! We don't need copy cat shows but original shows!
  • RandyNacol
    Not another gaming podcast
The new gaming podcast on TwiT has really started being great .brian has knowledge about any type of games and with Veronica B it just works

    Another TWiT Hit!
Leo Laporte has done it again! This time with gaming news. Brian Brushwood(Scam School, NSFW) and Veronica Belmont (Tekzilla, Sword and Laser) exhibit great chemistry in a fast paced, yet relaxed news show environment. The mixture of sketches, interviews, headlines and reviews keeps its listeners and viewers well entertained. Writer Justin Robert Young(NSFW) and Producer Chad Johnson adds a brief hint of professionalism to the show. Destructoid and New Challenger can't even compare to Game On!

    Great writing!
I wasn't sure about video games. But then I watched GameOn and bought Black Water.

    Fantastic Show
I absolutely love this show. It's a better produced show than anything else on TWiT. It's written by professional comedians and gaming journalists, and it definitely shows. The hosts are some of the most talented podcasters on the internet.

    ZOMG.
This show is the most amazing show in the world. Seriously.

    This show is getting there
I've been watching since the beginning. This show is starting to hit its stride. Like all new shows, it takes several weeks of producing and feedback to the mix just right. While I can't give it 5 stars yet, the difference from the first show is immense. While a lot of this show is scripted/ preproduced, I enjoy most of the content. I would like to also see some more content around what is coming in the near future regarding gaming. (content/hardware/platform) Sometimes too much preproduction doesn't give you the flexibility to discuss up to the minute gaming news.

Brian was a poor choice for this
I love TWiT, I found Brian's show to be one of the best on Rev3, and video games is my biggest passion, but Brian does not deserve to be anywhere near this as one of the two people on this gaming podcast. He just doesn't show any understanding of the gaming sector at all. For instence if you are going to be spouting off opinions about things like the mass effect 3 ending debacle you should probably finish the game by the 21st which is 15 days after it was released. It's the biggest game that's been released this year so if he want's to be twits main game coverage person there's a bit of an expectation that he should finish that one by now. Every single other podcast will have one of the hosts beaten it by now. Then maybe you can better understand the complaints about mass effect's ending, and not spout off lies like its a "60-70 hour game". Maybe he's too busy to play an average of 2 hours a day and he's not in a position for advanced copies, but once you are put in a situation like that, there's an expectation that you can do something like that since every other podcast does. He also showed some gross misunderstanding of the position that the vita and 3DS has in the market. He says that the ipad and iphone is going to kill it as if a $30 game that sells one million copies would easily lose to a 3 dollar one that would sell 30 million copies. You can't just scale down the asking price of a big budget game and see a direct corolation to the sales. Seting out with the intention of making a smash hit 20 million selling game is far more risky then selling a highly priced game to a smaller group you know you have. And its not like the demand for the big budget games is going away for smaller ones. Pocket space is certainly an issue but don't act like the iOS machines serve all the needs that a 3DS or Vita customer is looking for. At times in this arguement he's really showing a lack of understanding of why people really into "hardcore" games are actually into "hardcore" games. Or like when he keeps getting onto the Will Wright-lessness of the Sim City game, not mentioning that he is the CEO of a prototyping/game design document producing company that is monetarily backed by EA. Sure that's not proof that he helped with the game at all, but it isn't a stretch to think they approached him to exchange ideas. I haven't seen/listened to all of them so i could probably find more instences then just that, but I think I've made my point. Anyhow I don't want to rag on him to much. He seems like a cool guy and his energy level works well for producing web audio/visual content, but he just isn't the guy to go to for game stuff. Most of the guys Leo has to be the expert on has some sort of strong background in the topic they are talking about, but brushwood's history until this show has absolutely nothing to do with games. Maybe if they took him off anything editorial about games it'd work out better. There are just so many podcasts with full time game journalists/bloggers out there that editorally there's no way he can keep up even with the weeker ones. BTW Veronica isn't super great at editorial either but she's passible and knows when to not jump headstrong into an issue she knows nothing about. She mostly focuses on previews and interviews and she's great at that.

    Great show!
the hosts are perfect for the show, Veronica is well known in tech and gaming industry and actually has a passion/genuine interest in it. Bry Bry is an excellent showman and has a great persona who also loves games but doesn't have enough time to play them all (like most of us). This show is different for TWiT because of the high production value, so stop hating on the over producedness of the show! the show has great writing thanks to Justin robert young and even tho that one robot skit was pretty bad.... it is still a new show that has great guests and good content/discussion.
  • Potocobe
    Could be better
Less filler please! I don't know where the twit network gets the idea that they have nothing but juveniles listening but this show sounds as if it is targeted at teenagers with short attention spans. Sometimes funny doesn't make up for the lack of substantive discussion of gaming and the industry
  • Xloner12
    Not Twit
I work two jobs and I am extreamly busy. However I am a gammer and love twit. I was expecting a serious show discussing the industry and games from an adult expert point of view. Sort of like security now or Twig. Instead I got something that really does belong on G4, very sad. I want twit to cover gaming but this show needs to be revamped and get new hosts who actually can be called experts.
  • Alekai
    Great !!
    Love it!!
  • Paul Warner
    Overproduced.
I want to really like it, but I only consider it ok. The problem for me is that it's way over produced, and scripted. It seems like it should be on G4, and not on TWIT.
  • CobraA1
    Sorry, can't get in it.
Sorry, just can't get into this podcast. This is not up to TWiT quality. I get nothing out of this.
  • Pen is Mightier
    Good first episode.
My main worry is that each host really doesn't have a diverse pallet. Veronica seems to only play MMO's and Brian doesn't seem to play anything.
