namelessurferLegendary!Paul Oakenfold was the first Electronic Musician I ever listened to 25 years ago, little did I know it would change my ears and life forever!!! So Awesome that he and other musicians take time out every week to publish podcasts and expose us to music we might never hear otherwise! One of the four fathers of Trance and Electronic music in my humble opinion, Godbless You Paul!

Music Moves Us..THE BEST !!I’ve been listening to this show for years! Paul’s music and style has appealed to me since the late 90’s. Class and epic tunes for a lifetime! There are legends and then there is Paul Oakenfold! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Larry KollarPerfect workday stuffI’ve subscribed to several music podcasts lately, because my Internet connection is already weak, and schoolwork (and everyone else working at home) makes it difficult to stream even low-bandwidth stations. It’s great for keeping my energy levels up while I’m working. Definitely one I’ll keep when things go back to normal.

trump is ur prez5/5This should have five stars - please keep up this good work and thank you

A*UserOutstanding mixes next to Armin van Buurin!Keep up the great work on the instrumentals and would love to hear more vocal mixes comparing to Armin van Buurin’s except not like some of his Balance Album where he curses. I find that not appealing. One day I would like to see you in concert.
-
Medieval playerStarting to get repetitiveI feel like Paul is recycling a lot of music from older episodes. Sometimes I feel as if I’m listening to the same podcast from a week ago. I think he needs to add some variety.
-
elpasoerickpGood stuffUmek’s show would say: “Do not add sugar” to open his eastern flavor segments. I miss that cuz it made me imagine they meant it for planet perfecto.
-

Frank PalaciosA shortened version hereThis podcast is just fantastic but it is better to be tuned in to on Mixcloud as you will get the full 2 hour version on that app rather than on here where you only get the shortened 1 hour version of the show on iTunes.
-
Elinachkahurts my earstoo many laser sounding effects, too much noise and it's just no nice melody heard of any kind... i don't enjoy listening to this or dancing to this
-
SkitterladAmazing set this weekPaul, What ever made you choose your track selection this week. Be it mood or getting these tracks in the mail. Keep it up. Wonderful set. Been a fan for more than 15 years. I love listening to magical melodic tracks while reading science books like sir David Attenborough books before sleep.

Scion13One of legend!Hey Paul....great podcast and you have an amazing ear for fantastic music. Being VERY picky with DJs, I can say you are in the top group for me. I heard you give some shout outs on a previous show, how about a hello to my 2 month old daughter Georgia? And are you coming to California anytime soon? Keep up the good work my friend! :)

Cody PallottaTruly Perfecto Indeed!Endless supply of free music on these recordings so far, whats not to like? The quality is top notch, no filler material. Oakenfold has really gone out of his way to provide his fans with this free material. Its nice to hear this new music, great for late nights or running! Great addition to any Trance collection. Did I mention this is free!!!?

JLMoranTired of hearing the same songs over and over and overIf I hear "Sex and Money", or any of the other half-dozen or so tracks that repeat on this podcast every single week, ever again I'll probably howl in anguish. Why can't Paul Oakenfold do what Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren seem to pull off easily every single week? Namely, put out a podcast of NEW music that we haven't heard a single item on, consistently from week to week. Granted, Armin has it easier with a 20 minute podcast, but Tiesto's is an hour every week, and he manages just fine. For that matter, so do the amateur DJs that have podcasts I've subscribed to. Sorry, "Oakie" -- You've lost a (short-lived) subscriber.

Somatic1Oakenfold PocastAbsolutely fabulous music. Play it over and over again. It's superb!!!
-
gurlo209Much better Paul......June 4 podcast was good.... Much better then the other podcast.... Now it really sound like the old Paul is BACK!
-
CurbdogGood but very repetitive.I understand the need to promote those that may be on your label but there needs to be variety. Having the same tracks on 6,8, or 10 shows in a row is excessive. I know there has to be more music in his bag than is represented each week. Other than that, the show is good.
-
youknowthatguySame old same oldThis is great except it's the same old songs week after week. Would be nice to hear more variety

FutureMediaThe January 1, 2010 Episode Link Is BrokenAlthough I have reported the new year episode link is broken TWICE, no one at iTunes administration seems to care enough to get it fixed.

as6106Oakenfold's podcastI've been a huge fan of Paul Oakenfosl. His radio 1 mixes in the late 90s were instrumental in getting me so hooked into the electro scene. His podcast is nowhere near the caliber of his older stuff let alone his newer more cross over oriented music. As some others pointed out, 50% of each podcast is carried over from the last. Oakie please put more effort into this so that it's more fitting of your legendary status in the electronic music scene.
-
\\ FREE BIRD //????All the episodes sound the same..same tracks, intro and.... I really respect you Paul, but your podcast could be one of the bests. Hope to see a change soon.

I Drop KnowledgeBest Electronic Music Podcast PeriodThis Perfecto Podcast is epic. Oakenfold is hands down one of the best Dj's around. This guy did more than anyone else in the late 80's to popularize house music, and is prolly the most enfluencial figure in electronic music. The style of trance/house that he plays in this podcast is wayyy better than then the tunes in Armin's State of Trance, or Tiesto's Club Life Podcast. I can listen to every single hour long podcast all the way through, all the beats are sick, none of this skipping around to the songs you like nonesence. I've heard em all, because i'm subcribed to them all, this one is simply the best. Check it out....

ForeignThinkerI do not get the high marksAs someone who likes Paul Oakenfold, I do not understand the 4.5 star rating on this podcast. I listened to all 31 podcasts (as of 10/3/09) in the last two weeks and this is undoubtedly the most repetitive music podcast I have heard. Fully 50% of the songs are repeated every week. Note: If I never hear a remix of Shannon's Let the Music Play again I think I will be a happy (I really liked this song once). If you are thinking of subscribing do not bother downloading the first 25 episodes as you will hear the same thing in episode 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30. Like a fool I held out hope that DJ Paul would shake things up in each subsequent weeks as he found his stride with the 60 minute podcast format. Apparently he feels he nailed it in the first episode, because it is the same stride every week.

Analog47Analog47Absolutely Brilliant!! Thank You Paul Oakenfold!
-
Be88good to seejust saw this thanks to a mailer from iTunes. While I haven't but started to listen it's good to see another dance podcast that seems to be updating quite frequently. Subscribed and now will always have the last couple syncing to the iPhone.

GoAKAEating CrowGiven how much I loved Oakenfold's work in the 90's, some of his more recent works have felt like a stab to the heart. But I decided to try the podcast out, figuring it would probably serve some menial task like "workout playlist." To my surprise, it's actually quite a solid entry. So now I'm both optimistic that Perfecto isn't past its prime, and actually regretting that I didn't hit the Palms for Club Perfecto the last few times I was in Vegas... I hate being proven this wrong.
-
JackWhackerWHOAWowoWOWowowOWOW Is this setlist so chill & smooth... I'll listen to it all... Twice...
