Season 26 - Sea Shepherd Is In My Heart
Just stumbled upon this season today and i wasn’t sure i was going to listen based on the gruesome description of the video that launched this story. I’m so glad i did. I didn’t imagine the story would lead to to Sea Shepherd! Their show lit a fire in my young heart. I signed an ungodly amount of petitions trying to support causes their show educated me about. After the show ended i lost sight of them, now as an adult I’m so invigorated to hear they are still hard at work. Heading to the website to learn more, I hope everyone who can does the same!

Well done!!! Season 1 is jaw dropping
I've heard a bit about NXIVM of course but this was extremely impactful coming straight from Sarah. I applaud her for choosing to get out when she did trying to stop others from being branded and exposing this grotesque cult. People may think I would never but that's how cults work before you know it boom. It's a bigger issue than most realize so many people are searching for community, support, friendship, love, comradery, acceptance, and so much more. Thank you for bringing us this season specifically the word needs to be spread.

    Cat lady
I’m going to listen but I’m only giving 3 stars as I was appalled that you hissed at a kitty that wanted in. Rude and unkind.

    Always well done
I love Uncover but the first episode of Hunting Warhead blew my mind. Great job on a very sensitive topic. I look forward to the rest of the season.

    Love love love this podcast!!!
Great job all the around. You’ve become one of my favorites. Thank you for putting in the hard work to get interviews, facts & bringing attention to so much pain.

    Carrie!
O.M.G!!! What Carrie has been put through is unbelievable! It's Dec 2023 as I write this, and am shocked at the continuous walls she's had to break through on top of a vicious attack! I sincerely wish the best for her, and will continue to listen for updates on the Civil suit. I am sending "mana" straight from Maui as this freaking madness continues. Stay strong Carrie! As for the show... Thank you for sticking with her when others (like the COWARD Smith) as failed to do so. I appreciate the in depth coverage as Carrie navigates through these extremely murky waters. “The cat lady” confused
I’m not sure how I feel about this one! I think that cop is up to no good good.i think he’s the one who’s calling all those people and scarring so they stop helping but the question is why?something just don’t seem right about it!everyone was FOR HELPING U ZACK then this cops get involved and now everyone is quiet and no where to be seen!!!!! U think if they wanted to help like they say they do they wouldn’t give up so easily and wouldn’t let that cop scare them! I just find that cop in some funny business!!!

Season 3: The Village is exceptional
“The Village” is an a really great piece of work. The deep dive into LGBTQ history is very well done, and so needed.

    Fantastic reporting & storytelling
Every season of Uncover is fresh, relevant and an in depth dive into the issues that matter most. I appreciate the fair, balanced and thoughtful approach to each. It’s not one host grinding out details, it’s a compelling and personal immersive experience. Don’t miss Season 16 with Duncan McCue on residential school survivors. Amazing 🫶🏼

    The Pressure Cooker Comedy
The Pressure Cooker is one of the greatest pieces of comedy ever created, a masterpiece. You can’t even believe it. The episodes are very well done and everyone is somehow very serious during the all story. I laughed pretty hard. Canadian police force is an unbelievable piece of work. Thank you John for this!

    Cat Lady
I binge listened to this wonderful production. Your detailed review of the facts and outstanding story telling capability kept me tuned in throughout. I hope that your investigative reporting and the police investigation will resolve this case. Keep up your great work.

    Kuper Island
Incredible story encompassed by great reporting. The people of this area need to run the Catholics out and never allow them to return. What wretched group of religious zealots who preyed upon the children of the community. Make them pay!

    Season: Boys Like Me
I found it difficult to listen to the narrator due to the rhythm of her speech. It seemed like her voice was slowed down then sped up then slowed down again. Sometimes the pauses were in awkward areas and just sounded off. I’m also not really sure what the real point of this story is because it bounces around multiple topics.

    Excellent
Love this podcast. However, I had to stop listening to Sharmini. I cannot stand listening to someone who is obviously lying. No doubt, Tippit is guilty, and I feel frustrated that he gets a platform to continue his con game. I know this is part of your job, and I respect that. I just don’t have the stomach for Tippit!

    A sad story told wonderfully
Thank you for all your great reporting and work on the story. Everyone needs to hear it whether living in Canada or the US or anywhere in the world.

    Amazing!
Great reporting! Very thorough and well researched. The presentation is clear and engaging! It’s amazing that after so many seasons, they’re still consistently great (except season 19, that was pretty mid)

    THIS is why!
THIS is why I anxiously await the next season of Uncover, or ANY CBC podcast for that matter. For friends and relatives who are beginning their podcast journeys, I immediately steer them towards CBC podcasts. Yet another reason for US citizens to envy Canadians!! I listen to many other shows. Other podcasts just don’t measure up to the level of authentic investigating, reporting, writing, and storytelling that you guys do. Bravo and thank you for another amazing season!!!

    Season 16 affects everyone
Listen to the end. It helps us understand how generational trauma affects us all.

Such an important story to cover
Uncover is a stellar one from CBC and Season 17 is an important one to cover. Karima’s story gave me chills and tears. A passionate person.

Anti Muslim rhetoric. Very disappointed on the last series!

    The Kill List
Undercover is by far one of the best podcasts that I listen to, but this series has totally blown me away! The reporting is smart, informative and quick witted but not arrogantly pretentious! The presentation is always detailed, sophisticated and obsessively interesting. I cannot say enough fantastic compliments! I am always excited when a new series premieres! Another inspiring job well done!

    Woke as heck
Three stars - because the podcast is well done & the earlier seasons are pretty good - the stories are very interesting. It’s woke as heck though, tons of woke points and references all throughout… if later seasons are worse, I won’t be listening.

    Uncover The Village
Justin Lang and the entire crew I Thank You for bringing this phenomenal Podcast to life. The long and twisting road taken in bringing in a coordinated effort, this self confessed serial killer to justice, with 8 Guilty decrees of Jurors Judgement. Podcast Queen B
This is such a professional and well produced podcast on a very tragic subject. I’m not Canadian but as an American who shares the same continent I’m outraged. Internally I am broken over the injustice that has been done and is still being perpetrated against indigenous Canadians. As soon as the last episode ended I was ordering my orange T-shirt with proceeds going towards a fund to support survivors. Chaque Enfant Compte Every Child Matters! I pray for justice and a true reckoning and acknowledgement by your government and the Church.

    Horrific story handled with care
This has been sitting in my “latest episodes,“ for a while. I started it today and I’m getting ready to finish it. Incredible work and investigation. I am not familiar with the host because I live in the United States but he is really good and apparently well-known. This story is jaw-dropping. Horrific. He handles it with grace and cares about the people he is interviewing. I am glad I finally hit play and now I can’t stop listening. As a mom it is terrifying to even think about not knowing what happened to your child. let alone the abuse he or she may have suffered at “school.“ there was truly no justice and I feel for these families. This is a must listen.
  • getthebadguys
Season 16, compassionately and passionately reported.
A horrific subject, presented with sensitivity and honor. I learned so much I had no idea about previously. Thank you!

    Episode Order
I really wanted to love this show however it’s super frustrating that I have to manually set which episode plays next because they won’t auto play in the correct order.
  • Kary GL
If they lie in one season, maybe question the rest
No expert on anything, but some research on your own can debunk some of this. Purpose?….. lie like all media?!!!!

Boys Like Me - compassionate and humanizing.
I’ve been wanting to listen but put it off because I thought it would fill me with rage. I thought Incel culture began and ended with massive entitlement. The empathy with which the topic is treated takes my breath away. My takeaway is that so many individual factors and societal failures can lead a person who feels like an outcast to seek support or validation wherever they can. Being starved for acceptance can make any of us malleable to person or group that provides that nourishment. Thanks for your great work!

Boys Like Me - tender and freighting
The vulnerability of individuals to be radicalized and weaponized in online communities exists across demographics and nationalities. To explore the Incel mass violence phenomenon, this series enlists the first hand experiences of people in the Neurodivergent community. Great primary sources and excellent editing.

    Great Podcast
This is a great podcast and I have enjoyed every season. Though, I second what some of the other reviewers have said about the order in which the episodes are posted. They often appear in my feed in reverse order and other times they are mixed up or out of order. That does require a bit more maintenance than I would like, but at least it means you generally have several episodes to binge on!

    Tedious

    Excellent
    Very well done. Mesmerizing
  • WRCKALS
    Sources….
White hot hate has good information about Neo Nazis who are despicable! But Antifa is just as vile and the author spoke with some members without even mentioning the destruction that terrorist group has caused. Why did you not mention this group as filled with hate as well? Both groups should be equally condemned! We don’t need ANY hate groups!
  • Hello Josephine
    Love it
I started with the season Boys like me…. Binged all the rest. Great podcast. Great host.

How can we take you seriously
Antifa is not a peaceful organization smh
  • smikgtre
    Mixed up
Season 11 was really powerful, but it was posted in reverse order, and some episodes appeared to be truncated or missing. Appeared to be unfinished. Just started listening to 12, also posted in reverse. Requires a lot of maintenance while listening. Too bad, since this is one of the better crime podcasts overall.

    Wonderful Podcast
I love this podcast, each season is a new case!!
  • KimF50
    Great except season 3
I love this podcast. Good, in depth, intelligent coverage of interesting issues. Broadcasters have pleasant demeanors and voices to listen to. Only caveat is that I can’t recommend Season 3 Bomb on Board. It’s so boring and melodramatic, and it goes nowhere. It really should have been only one episode.

The Entire World Is Tired Of This Story
The United States, Canada, and the entire world are tired of this queer pity party that happened 50 years ago. There’s absolutely nothing to learn here what happened happened get over it.

The Village 2, take a shot every time they say “community”
  • timesabillion
    Constant misgendering on the village
It is your responsibility as a journalist to make sure your interviewees don’t repeatedly misgender the subject of your podcast. I don’t care that it’s her sister and they had a special relationship. She doesn’t get a pass. Alloura is dead because of our transphobic society. The least anyone can do to respect her memory is get her pronouns right. Hearing Alloura constantly referred to as “he” is painful to the point of making this unlistenable.

    Satanic Panic
kind of hyper fixated on the satanic panic phenomena and I loved the season they have on it. I really appreciated a deep dive into a few specific cases since I’d only learned about the broad stroke until now. Oh, also yes, this was a moral panic, no, SRA is not a real thing, yes children were victims but were victims of adult hubris and manipulation, not victims of satanic cults. I’m begging some of these reviewers to get out of their Q-Anon conspiracy hole.

    Repurposed preexisting Podcast
It’s a shame to see Uncover take Evil by Design and toss it up as a season 9 without being upfront about it. Far from the quality of the original reporting they’ve done in the past
  • Piczord
Good in subject, bad in execution
I’ve listened to tons of podcasts similar to this one. Season 4, the guy does a calm whisper voice which made me irrationally angry. I couldn’t follow along because he was so distracting. The information in the seasons is important and should be told. But man, does this drag on. Stopped listening to the podcast because it was too much. If you’re looking for something to check out, go to the CBC’s Someone Knows Something podcast. Much better reporting, does not drag, and the narrator has a charming voice and character
  • Whirlwind1788
Hit and miss depending on host
Really enjoyed Sharmini and so tried out The Bomb series - forced myself through 3 episodes before couldn’t take it anymore. Shame as such a good story but found narrators/ journalists tried too hard to be poetic and insert themselves into the story besides just telling it. The dramatic pauses, music and overly descriptive words became too distracting and irritating.

    Essential.
This is a riveting series, and I just finished The Village. Incredible reporting, and a must-listen for anyone who believes that everyone, simply because they are human, deserves justice.
