    Great jolt of science
Like all the 60-Second podcasts, this one is quick and to the point. I love the single topic news presented succinctly.

    Interesting bites of information
This podcast provides interesting bites of information. I wish it were not two volume clicks louder than all other podcasts.

    Download broken
I have been getting 8006 errors while trying to download any of the 60-whatever podcasts for the past couple weeks. Can this be fixed?

    what happened to the downloads?
I haven't been able to download any of the 60-second podcasts since I updated to iTunes 11. Is that the cause or was that coincidental? Anyway, please fix! I do have a minute!

    Scare tactics
All these "60 Second" show are all scare tactics... what a shame. No real info on science.. only the typical "humans are bad" stuff.

    Stupid ads
I used to love these podcasts, until they began starting every one of them (along with 60-Second Science and 60-Second Psych) with the same car commercial. After one week of that, I had to unsubscribe from all three. I know SciAm has to pay for this free service somehow, but running the same annoying commercial over and over is a really bad idea, guys! It's the main reason people like me switched from radio to podcasts in the first place! You are going to lose audience, I guarantee it.

    Fun and instructive
Although the topics don't go much in depth or do not reveal a lot, this podcast is a fun way to keep up with some random advances in a fast and easy to use format.

    Very Well Done
It's hard to do a podcast this short but this is a good one. It's not political, it's factual. Science either is true or not and this podcast tells it like it is. Good work! I wish it was five minutes long!

    interesting
60 Second Earth is a great scientific podcast. It gives you just enough information that you can understand what they are talking about. At the same time, it doesn't give to much information about what they are talking about. It is a great podcast to listen to if you want to catch up with what is going on in the world. So, if you want to learn about what is going on around you then listen to this podcast.

    Poor content
Sixty seconds are not enough. Most of the podcasts uses those 60 seconds to state obvious things instead of coming up with new ideas.

    Is 60 seconds truly enough?!?
I love this podcast, it is a great (and brief) little insite about our earth which always leaves me craving more. I wish it was 1 hour earth but then I guess they would have to change the name and the podcast "sticker." OH, maybe they could just change seconds to min?! GREAT Podcast nonetheless.

    60 Second Enviromental Sermon...
I should have read the description closer. This is not about Earth sciences - Geology, Meteorology, etc... it pure enviroment. And would be more aptly name 60 Second Environment. Fine if that is what you are after.

    Not 60 Seconds?
Ok, why is this called 60 second Earth if it's not 60 seconds?..... I'll give it a 5 just because I'm in a good mood.

Refreshing addition to the Sci-American lineup
I found this podcast to be quite informative and easy to recommend to others. I just hope they continue to add more. Invariably, the podcasts I really like all just fade. Don't stop - keep up the good work!

    Quite nice
As with the other sixty-second (or so) podcasts, this one does a good job of briefly raising scientific issues in terms that lay people can understand. If it's political, so be it - environmental preservation is a political issue, one that political leaders have addressed very poorly in recent years.

    Agenda Science
A political, not science, commentary by the podcaster. So far, not so good. Unlike the other 60 Second Science podcasts from Scientific American, this did a poor job in examining either the scientic issues or political issues at stake in the upcoming election.
