readsconstantlyBest podcastThis podcast is one of the few that can balance real poignance, humor, fascinating glimpses into regular people’s lives. Jonathan is a kind and sensitive person and so well suited to tell these stories. I listen to 17 podcasts regularly and at least two dozen more sporadically. This one is the best.
-
a lil lost lolSpecialThis is the most special podcast I have ever listened to. I love the debut mini episode and congrats, Stevie, on the new partner! And yay Kalilah for going to a Pilates class. I am in love with all three of you.

-
Manly MikeOnly ugly-cried twice!4.75 stars. Not as many tears as I’d usually get from an episode, but I also listened while at work so I was really fighting it. Stoked you’re all back.
-
CampingFan1389Seriously???I’ve waited all this time for a new episode, and it glorifies deception to gain a gift card and biscotti’s? And pronouns!!! Come on!!
-
majicomacSorry, Jonathan, can’t stomach someone who does not know how to speak with correct pronounsSo immensely disappointed with this filler episode with the two women, or whatever they are. The podcaster can’t seem to figure out if their partner is a man or a woman and keeps calling this individual a “they.” It’s just absurd. I am out, as I’m sure many others will be as well.
-
1GrumpyGalYay!So happy you’re back. Calms my soul

Loveitaly33So glad you’re back!I am thrilled that this fantastic pod is back! Please take many listens and keep them here for the future!!!
-
L SwanOne star off for Kalila.I love this podcast when Jonathan hosts. Like, it’s SO good. Kalila has clearly been working on her voice, she sounds a little less congested and drugged than she used to but that’s the only compliment I can give her. I just turn it off when she hosts it, it’s boring, and lacking. AGAIN: Please no more Kalila, for the love of god. Thanks🥴
-
Benrod3So happy!!!You are back!!! Congratulations!!!!Incredibly unique!! Tackling tough situations with comical flair!! LOVE, LOVE Heavyweight!!
-
BcutlerjSo glad it’s back!! Thanks Heavyweight team!!What’s to say? What’s to love, all of it. What’s not to love, nothing. Random, different, and surprising looks at life and solutions to or realizations of its puzzles. Can’t wait to hear more.

In my car all the timeExcellentJonathan is a master storyteller. My favorite podcast. Thank you Pushkin for picking them up. Great fit!
-
NopstopsTruly wonderful show.Heavyweight is one of my favorite shows. On multiple occasions I’ve looked around on their previous platforms to find out where they have been. Excited to learn they are starting a new season in the near future. The show is witty, funny, sincere, and tells story in a disarming and captivating way.
-
MatiumilaTop shelf storytellingThought provoking in the vein of This American Life. The sleuthing aspect as they dig into the story adds to the listenability, and the presenters have the same knack as Ira Glass for setting their interviewee at ease and allowing them to open up. (Speaking of TAM, the host even has the same speaking cadence as David Sedaris. Just knock up the register of his voice a hslf an octave and you coukdn’t tell them apart. One question: heard about this on Science vs. podcast when they raved about it, and them heard Heavyweight folks do the same for Science vs. So if they have such well-deserved respect for that podcast and its topics, why do they accept advertising from California Psychics?

Bld83Welcome back!!So excited to have one of my favorite podcasts back! You were missed very much!!

Bsafe1Take a load offThis show is a delightful opportunity to follow along as people are relieved of the heavy weight of their mental and emotional burdens. I’ve listened to each episode, some multiple times, and I love the thoughtful commitment of Jonathan and the Heavyweight team to help people lighten the load they’ve been carrying for years. I’m excited to hear new episodes will be released soon!

Boot Scootin' ChoogieMy all-time favorite podcastFunny, beautiful, sometimes absurd, often heart-breaking stories that map the relationship between love, change, growth, and loss. These stories will inspire you to persevere, delight in the mundane, grow your humility, and strengthen your heart. You should start from the beginning and listen to every episode. I have at least twice.
-

It’s story telling at its finest sure but it’s got a deeper smattering of the magical goods that showcases what podcasts are actually capable of doing at their very best. Please listen. Colorado KTPoignant and meaningful with a huge dose of levityThis podcast delivers a beautiful, life-affirming punch to the gut of apathy. It’s one of the most heartfelt, deep, inspirational and authentic audio-experiences I’ve come across in a world full of podcast options. Thank you Jonathan for bringing your insights and these stories to the world’s attention. Don’t ever stop … please!!!
-
music44444The best!I can’t even tell you how meaningful this podcast is to me. It not only helps the people featured in the episode, but it helps everyone that listens to it. It is about closure, it is about forgiveness, it is about redemption, it is about discovery of self and so much more. This is, in my opinion, the most engaging podcast that I have ever listened to.

KellykylieTXThe World Is back to Normal - Hooray for HeavyweightThis is my favorite podcast of all time — love everyone in it and every story!!!!!

InfamousLNBeautifully doneThis podcast is a precious gem. The episodes can range from heart wrenching to laugh-out-loud funny — often in the same episode. Wonderful storytelling, always gripping.
-
Four-eyed jessi👍🏻I love this podcast. It makes me smile, even when the day is giving me nothing worthy of smiles. Sometimes it pulls out some laughter, but not always, which is okay because laughter isn’t always easy to find.
-
Jackie HowieNew to HeavyweightI found this podcast last week via Pushkin. I adore podcasts and am always looking for a new one and if Malcom Gladwell is suggesting one it has got to be good. This podcast is fantastic! It is earnest, hilarious, and thought provoking. Thank you Johnathan for many hours of entertainment and delight! Keep doing what you do!

Trazers_TheresaThis is the only review I’ve ever written for a podcast but I HAD to express my joy about this show being offered again. It’s definitely the very best podcast I’ve heard, it’s comforting, heartwarming, funny, clever…Jonathan’s voice is wonderful literally and figuratively. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for not going away forever. When this podcast ended for a bit, there was a hole left that was unable to fill. My friends all know that they HAVE to listen, the premise of this series is unmatched! Every single episode is so engaging, listening while on long roadtrips is an absolute lifesaver, and makes the boring hours spent driving an entertaining journey I look forward to. I’m so grateful PLEASE don’t stop again. I’ll subscribe, take my money…just don’t leave us again. Such dark days, I don’t want to experience this again. Thank you.
