    Love the show
Many of these episodes are truly fascinating; a favourite is the examination of Arnold Schoenberg’s fear of the number 23. However, I do need to mention there was a factual error in this latest podcast: Franz Liszt’s death occurred in 1886, not 1847 as Mr. Mahnke stated. That aside, I continue to enjoy this podcast immensely.

Seems he’s found a story-telling formula he’s comfortable with and repeats it over and over and over. Unfortunately, the potentially interesting stuff has become really boring through repetition. What a shame.

    Best podcast in historyπŸ‘
I have been obsessed with this podcast for quite a while and I can’t stop listening. I have only a few episodes left until I’m finished all of the show and I listen to about 12 a night. So interesting and great to listen to after a long day! Great for all ages and you should definitely try this amazing podcast. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Start, stop...start, stop, start....
I love your show but please...please! stop interrupting the episodes with all those ads. They’re too numerous and they chop your show to pieces.

The pace, rhythm and how facts are revealed make every story told a great production!

    Amazing Storytelling
Short and sweet these stories have it all! From spooky to mysterious to just plain weird these short episodes manage to pack so much in each episode. The music is a perfect choice and keeps the tone of the podcast. Love that this comes out once a week! Look forward to every one.

    Love it
I am 11 years old. Me and my mom just love your podcasts. We listen to them at home and when we head to town we listen to then to. I hope you make more of them. I do not now which one is my favourite podcast I love them all. But some of them are scary to me like the painting with the doll and the boy in it. But you have great story’s. I wish you can do a podcast on the gold rush. Make more please I love them to much love you. πŸ’—πŸ’–πŸ’

    Ignore the right wingers
Aaron’s show is great, well-researched and produced. It has NOTHING to do with his personal politicking online. Blaming him for the demise of a jealous troll is bankrupt and idiotic.

    Not worth it
When this guy isn't podcasting he is virtue signalling! Ruining other peoples podcasts isn't something to be proud of. I'd rather listen to Sword and Scale. Wondering why all these low ratings aren’t making a difference in this overall rating!!
  • T.S.Doyle
    Show is slow
The show is slow and not in a fun mysterious way more in a β€œ I learned who Sam Clemons is from TNG” and now I need to show everyone how clever I am. If zero stars was an option I would give it that.
  • KH8004
    Amazing little podcast
Nice and quick, perfect for my short drive to work and also great to save up and binge listen.
  • Granite136
Unsubscribing due to your involvement with the censorship of β€œsword and scale”.

    So enjoyable!
I stumbled upon Lore in Spotify and have been binging on it since. This podcast, by the same podcaster, is just as binge worthy. Educational, easy to listen to, interesting....podcasting perfection!

This podcast and its brethren, Lore, is as good as you can get with podcasts! Aaron is brilliant at telling these amazing things with such fluency, I can’t help but subscribe and hang onto the edge of my seat for the next session!

    Amazing stories !
In this podcast you will learn about amazing true stories that keep you thinking, and thinking... sometimes gasping in disbelief. What an incredible world we live in. You just never know what’s going to happen next!
  • FearlessFlight
LOVE the bite-size format of this show
My favourite thing about this show is how short the episodes areβ€” twice a week I’m treated to incredible stories that leave me with intriguing thoughts. It’s just the thing to get me through waiting for Aaron’s other show Lore.
  • 545mart
    Shame about the advert
I love the content but then it is interrupted by a loud and annoying advert. I understand advertising needs to happen but I’m sure you could find something more in keeping with the style of this show.
  • Colleenmo73
    I want more!
Just when it gets interesting, it’s over. Not nearly as satisfying as Lore.
  • Gozzer123
Unlike Lore, this podcast lacks a clear line of thought. The host seems to have googled random facts and put them together with no coherent theme tying them together. The most recent one, mentioning the consumption of an ancient bison is particularly disappointing because it doesn’t go anywhere. I was familiar with the story and felt like the host was sensationalizing an interesting scientific story, without giving the pertinent information. It’s like listening to someone reading a movie blurb... you don’t actually get the whole story, and in this case you don’t even get the reference details to explore it yourself. This podcast seems like an opportunity for the host to receive more money from advertisements, which take up approximately 1/3 of the playing time. Super disappointed with this podcast and the somewhat arrogant attitude of the host. Not to mention the fact that he doesn’t seem to know what a cabinet of curiosities actually is... it isn’t merely a collection of weird items, it’s meant to be a microcosm of the world and reflects the worldliness of the owner... this podcast does not mirror that concept in any way shape or form. If you’re truly interested in a podcast about cabinets of curiosities, or about something that reflects the same concept, this is not the podcast for you.

    Quality over quantity
Once I got over the length, I realized each episode is a little gem.
  • JDnorth61
Absolutely incredible, I only wish they were longer! This podcast has the creepy and informative vibe that I love, and can’t seem to find outside of Aaron Mahnke’s work. I would recommend it to anybody who loves the same kind of stuff and I can’t wait to binge on more episodes.

    Tasty little nuggets
I’ve been very happy every time I’ve seen these short but sweet podcasts on my feed... Aaron Mahnke has a great storytelling talent that makes Lore so wonderful, and this new podcast is no exception.

    Must Listen!
When I started listening to podcasts this past year I was instantly hooked on Lore, so I couldn’t have been more thrilled to hear about this new podcast. It hasn’t disappointed. I love the short format that is quick, to the point and always leaves me excited for more!

    Very entertaining
I already subscribe to many podcasts and find this one very interesting and entertaining. Technically excellent too.
  • MiniMnM17
I have been a fan of Lore for quite some time so I was very excited for this podcast. However, The Cabinet of Curiosities doesn’t even scratch the surface of a story. Every episode feels unfinished and as if there should be more to be explained.
  • @KidCanadaYYC
    Love it!
Curiosities is fantastic. Really enjoyed Calculated Discovery. Very much a β€œπŸ€―β€ moment. Keep it up Aaron, great work!
