    Something really important is missing
These are fascinating, compelling programmes, underpinned by a laudable desire to keep us questioning what is occurring and, of course, why. When it comes to animal fats vs. Vegetable fats though, all I can hear is an examination of flavour and human health. Why is there no reference to the animal welfare, climate change or other ecological implications of our eating large - or at least larger - quantities of animal produce? Why is Mr. Gladwell, who seems so thoughtful and empathetic, not able to factor in these issues? He is blinded it seems not only by the fact that there has been a misunderstanding of what is good our physical health, but also by the sensual wonders of a potato fried in beef dripping. I suppose that is one part of being a human animal. But what about our souls? Thanks all the same for the work you (all) do!

    Very Good
Gladwell has to be given a lot of respect for the level of research and preparation gone into each episode. All of them are fascinating and well worth listening to. As always though, you have to prepare yourself for his simplistic generalisations about human nature. Once he finds a theory about why people act a certain way, he sees it everywhere and applies it liberally. His division of artists into two camps is slightly silly and you can't help but feel he's doing it as a marketing ploy rather than as a serious observation.

    Fantastic series
My husband put me on to these, knowing I've enjoyed a number of MG's books, and I love them. Looking forward to series 2!

I've been reading Gladwell's books for years...these podcasts offer his incisive and thoughtful analyses, sometimes make me laugh, other times weep, but always lead me to stop and think whether I agree or not. First rate..and far easier to manage while walking the dog then holding and reading his book/s!

Excellent presentations . Interesting and thought provoking .
Really enjoyed listening to Malcoms insightful presentation of these news items. Was shocked to hear of the news producers faking the Prius Brake problem. Malcom shines a clear light onto important subjects. His presentation and diction make very easy listening.
