good reporting...good voice...just good all around...actually better than good...excellent...i never miss an episode!

It felt that episode was very one sided. You failed to disclosed that the “Doctors” that gave her the CRPS diagnosis are not actually doctors. Also, Dr. Smith’s findings were not allowed as evidence during the trial, which is a huge part of why the COURT decided on the separation. The COURT, not the hospital nor Smith, were who made that decision. She also miraculously got better during and when she left hospital. It is also not the hospital’s responsibility her mother sadly decided to take her own life. My conclusions are my own after watching the Netflix “documentary” and numerous podcasts regarding the case.

Big fan of this podcast. Love her voice. Love the research. It’s a calming interesting show Not sure if you read these , but there’s one tiny thing that drives me bonkers. An item inserted into a semi automatic handgun is NOT A CLIP. It is a magazine. A clip is what you see in the army movies where the exposed bullets are quickly fed into the weapon

All the right ingredients, made more complex and complete by hearing court testimony. The host is perfect; kind, neutral, well paced and honest without distracting banter. Highly recommended and one I support. Thank you for sharing and for all the work you continue to do

Like most people, I listen to a number of different podcasts within the true crime category. Whenever Court Junkie releases a new episode, I find myself listening to it before anything else in my queue. And yeah, they just announced that they’ll be releasing a new episode only every other week for a while. I’m undeterred. The production, story flow, and respect for victims are unmatched. This is a more serious storytelling format, but it’s not rigid. Just more objective, which I appreciate. Thank you for all you do!

Interesting, on point, good mix of actual court recordings. Found it about two years ago and have been bingeing ever since. That podcaster is moving to a biweekly schedule for all the right reasons is a big plus for this Mama.

My favorite true crime show. Smart, insightful, detailed without being gratuitous. Week after week episodes have maintained their quality.

Jillian no longer does her own research and it shows. She had a guy filling in for her and couldn’t listen to those episodes. I’ll play episodes for background noise but I no longer get excited for new episodes.

It’s interesting to listen to the cases as they’re presented in court. The ads are frequent and very long, the host often asks for donations. Other podcast have ads but this one is a bit much

The podcast is fine and I enjoyed listening to the episode I did, however I won’t be listening again because of one of her sponsors.

Host read ads are nice bc we trust the host..but you do to many: come on..ur even shilling for Harbinger who buys an ad on everyone’s podcast. Now I don’t believe anything you say you “love”

I really like this podcast but it seems they are behind the curve in their stories - it’s like 8 weeks after a major case has happened, they are covering it. By that time, every other podcast and YouTube channel has covered the story. I’d suggest they cover other types of cases.

Would you consider looking in to this case? It seems to be a simple case of greed and a scapegoat. He was convicted (1992?) of causing break in levee in Quincy/Hannibal MO, resulting in significant flooding.

I listen to a lot of true crime podcasts and this is one of my favorites!!! Jillian does a great job.

OH YES. THE WORSE COMMERCIAL ADS OF ALL. You know the ones I’m talking about, the fast food ads with 30-seconds of hyper-speeded-up blather disclaimers at the end? Dear God! Can I poke my eyeballs out now? THE WORSE. Four, five times in a single episode. It’s worse than commercial television. One Star Penalty.

I just love this podcast it is well written and the host voice is soothing and I look for that in a podcast she’s straight to the point

As for the show, I listened to this during the pandemic to escape the wall-to-wall current event discussion on the news, NPR, and elsewhere. Now this podcast too is mostly just more current event discussion and not much mystery or detective or legal thinking, which is a weakness in a true crime podcast."

You can use whatever language you please, it’s your podcast. However know this, people are turning away because of being blasted with F words. Just saying.

Who is the sub host? I love his voice.

Love the content and the cases presented. However, I do not like or appreciate the use of the terms “potty mouth”, “fowl language” or “offensive language” to censor language used by any certain subject. You are taking away from how events actually transpired and led up to a trial. They make a difference. Often they are words chosen to fit one’s emotion (and can sometimes be quite therapeutic). If you are offended of such language you are doing yourself a disservice, not to mention robbing the listener of the full story. If you are worried that listeners may be offended by such language give a disclaimer. But, they probably shouldn’t be listening to true crime podcasts in the first place.

Political agenda under the guise of true crime. Disappointing and divisive. Be better.

The reporter that was interviewed throughout the episode has the most annoying way of speaking. Waaaay too many um’s woven into her segments

I’ve listened to every episode. I enjoy this podcast because it’s everything you need and nothing you don’t. Full of details but not loaded with opinion or chat. It’s the case facts and the outcome. The narrators voice flows. She’s not overly chatty or fake. She’s not attempting to act out the discussion like other crime podcast seem to do. A+ podcast!!

I took some time today to listen to your show!! Court Junkie, is a fantastic podcast with great info, and perspectives. You won't regret listening to and learning from the podcast.

This narrator is so bad.. She is unbearably monotone. You can’t even tell the difference between her telling the story and then reading the commercial script. I’d love to listen to these stories told by someone else. Jillian, this is not your calling.

This is an amazing, facts-focused podcast. If you want to hear case details and testimony recordings from an intelligent host who does great research, this is for you!

That’s all. This is my favorite podcast to listen to during work. I’m obsessed with the hosts voice and how clear she is. She allows a good amount of time for court recordings to play and she does such a great job feeding my crime obsession. Although, I am now suspicious of just about everyone. 🤔

Haven’t listened….but I wonder how likely you are to mention that the plot was pushed and co-signed by the FBI for entrapment purposes. I’d say highly unlikely. It will serve as the litmus test that I’ll use to determine the depth and accuracy of your investigations on the other cases you discuss.
