    No more Sugars??
I’m bummed! Now I have to find out why they’re going away. And, I feel guilty that I didn’t keep up with them. ☹️😡☹️

    Love me some sugars
Great advice from down to earth people with very interesting backgrounds. Not judgy. They're very open-minded. They've been through a lot themselves (watch the Movie Wild or read the book and you'll see what I mean), which puts them in a great position to see where people are coming from.

Love Cheryl Strayed and Dear Sugar Radio
I’ve been a fan of Cheryl since reading Wild, and became an even bigger fan of her on Dear Sugar Radio. It’s so comforting listening to Cheryl and Steve Almond give truthful advice on the letter writers concerns. I’ve gained so much insight from doing so and have felt less alone in the process. Truly one of my favourite podcasts!

    Love it!
I love this podcast. I am a new listener but have listened to many episodes. Cheryl and Steve are authentic and give honest advice and sometimes different views on a variety of topics that are relatable to all. Cheryl I admire your honesty and your spirit!

    beyond shocking questions
i love this podcast because of how profound the advice is. dear prudence most often chooses shocking questions where the answer is so obvious that all they can do is repeat the advice over and over. with dear sugars, the questions are more mundane, but the advice is based on a lifetime of experiences. it feels like they could talk for hours on each topic and it would still be interesting.

    Incredibly insightful
Cheryl and Steve are so amazingly articulate in their life perspective. They shed light on such complex issues in a gentle and nonjudgmental way. The world needs more people like them :).

    ❤️❤️❤️ Cheryl Strayed & Steve Almond ❤️❤️❤️
This podcast means so much to me. I recommend it regularly because of the wisdom, humour, and compassion that Cheryl and Steve provide each letter writer. They also clearly admire each other, and they maintain respectful and kind even when they disagree on what the best advice is to give. They are thoughtful, they challenge us to see things differently, they are themselves willing to be wrong, and they do it all with such charm. I can't get enough.

A little kick in the right direction
Cheryl and Steve are raw and compassionate and always just what you need to hear. I have listened to every episode at least twice and have yet to lose the warm feeling listening to this podcast gives me. Thanks guys

Cheryl & Steve are my wide best friends
I adore Dear Sugar Radio - each episode somehow hits home and urged me to self reflect and understand and believe people in my life who are different than me. Steve and Cheryl are insightful, caring and bundles of warmth and acceptance. I just want to sit by a fire with hot toddies and chat with them all night long.

I love this podcast! I love the hosts' juxatpositions, insights, and chemistry. ... every once and awhile Steve gets a little whiney and redundant with the dad jokes. But that's okay! I've learnt to love it. Xo

    Keeps repeating episodes
It is a great podcast but I don't understand why old episodes are constantly being aired as new ones? If I wanted to go into the archives and listen to an old episode I am capable of doing that myself. If there is no new content to upload, please do not upload anything. It's extremely annoying and a waste of download space on my phone....

This is what a talk show should be
Not easy to find the best of the best with so many podcasts out there. But I think this one for its genre is the best so far. Fantastic
  • CrickettPower
    Sweet!
I look forward to each new episode. The advice given on this show is wise, thoughtful, caring, intelligent and emotionally sound. Cheryl and Steve make a great team and clearly care about what they are doing on this podcast. The series on infidelity - specifically the episode with guest Esther Perel - was amazing and unbelievably enlightening. Esther kinda blew my mind! I hope this podcast endures for a very long time to come. Thank you so much, Cheryl & Steve, and everyone else behind the scenes at Dear Sugar Radio. <3

    Refreshing, comforting and very entertaining!
I LOVE this podcast. I am 32 and my marriage ended last year... I currently have no interest in dating or romance but this podcast is slowly helping me return the world of relationships. No matter what stage you are at in your life; the wisdom, humour and insights The Sugars share will leave you smiling and keep you thinking. So grateful for these two helping my heart heal from an iPhone!

    My Favourite!!!
This podcast is one of my favourites of all time. Cheryl and Steve are wise, fun to listen to and give great literate and personal development references. These two serve as a friend during long car trips. Listening to them is like a grown-up version of the convos I had over beer with my best friends in Ottawa in the 90s. I strongly recommend it!
  • Sophiebeans
Interesting relationship questions answered with emotionally intelligent advice!!!
I love this podcast. Interesting relationship questions answered with really sound, balanced and emotionally intelligent advice. The questions selected are so interesting. The advice provided is so balanced and allows the listener to take a 360 and empathetic consideration of the issue at hand. The summer questions followed by updates were particularly interesting. Thanks Sugars!!!!

    Wise, funny and true
I've been listening from the beginning. I wasn't exactly the biggest fan of "Wild" but I absolutely devoured "Tiny Beautiful Things" and so I knew this podcast would be amazing. It has helped me so much. It allows us to be compassionate yet honest with ourselves and with others yet without being wishy-washy either. all the while holding on to our core values. Cheryl and Steve's and letter writers' and guests' willingness to be honest and take responsibility for their actions is something that helps all us listeners in the long run. Thank you for doing this guys!
  • In awe of the Sugars
    Best advice available
This is my absolute favourite podcast. Cheryl and Steve are incredibly insightful and kind. Everyone could benefit from listening to these two discuss the issues we all face in one way or another.

    Brilliant and helpful!
I am so touched by these two amazing souls and grateful to have stumbled upon this brilliant podcast. Cheryl and Steve tackle life's hardest questions with such empathy and realistic expectations. I can't say how profound this has been for my own self discovery. Thank you so much... I look forward to it each week. Much love.

    Amazing work
It's like getting really sound advice and perspective from this amazing friend. Also, the letters are a reminder of the private challenges that lots of people are struggling through, and helps to forgive those in your own life.
  • Lipura
    Love this podcast!
I love how Cheryl and Steve unwrap complex situations, and quite honestly can't wait for new episodes!
  • RLS84
    The advice everyone needs
While the letters are often focused on the saddest and darkest parts of human nature, the hosts are able to expertly expose the light at the end of the tunnel. Among the podcasts I look forward to the most!

I could listen all day, every day!
I really appreciate the compassion that both Cheryl and Steve exude, regardless of the situation. In cases where I would typically place judgement, your words have caused me to pause and reserve that judgement. Thanks guys!
