    Absolutely Wonderful
This was probably the best historical documentary I have ever heard. The voices and stories of so many veterans was very moving. I would like to find this on CD somewhere for home listening. A wonderful job through and through by the BBC!

    Pleasantly surprised
If you enjoy a Ken Burns style documentary, you would enjoy this immensely. Well put together, great sequence and audio, and short, impactful episodes that allow you to digest he information from first source resources. A real treasure. I also recommend watching “They Shall Not Grow Old” (available for purchase on Amazon Prime and well worth the money) and you’ll hear some familiar voices. Thank you BBC!

    Powerful
This is truly one of the most powerful and human of history podcasts. It is also wonderful that these old tapes are being reused. Yet another outstanding work from the BBC.

    Amazing
This is the most amazing window into our past. The accents, the simplicity, the horror and the stories. Every voice you hear has now died. Wow. What a great series.

As you asked in your podcasts, I am writing to say I enjoy the WWI voices very much -- I am listening to them in order & only up to #19 Sport in War -- Enjoyed the man who went swimming near Gallipoli -- They are all good -- Glad you did this as the people are aging. Thanks
