    Season 18 Episode 13
Andrew Saxena has a super cool voice. He needs his own podcast.

    Listener from day 1
I love this podcast and the idea of it but it’s getting very liberal-rather all the guests have the same ideology and projections. BUT Tiffany is a great podcaster and allows her survivors to have their own voice. Just wondering why there aren't survivors of different backgrounds-every guest is alternative which is great for them but I’m a traditional person and a survivor but can’t identify with them. Makes me sad. But still about to start season 20.

    10/10
You will set an alarm and add this podcast to your calendar because you will be WAITING for the next episode like it’s 90210. Also, what great work Tiffany and crew are doing!!!! I never knew what abuse was until I heard stories!!!! SOMETHING WAS WRONG!!!!

    Complete drivel
The audio in season 1 made it nearly unlistenable, the people interviewed are often screeching into the microphone, and for some reason they did nothing to correct this. I listened to the entire first season waiting for them to get to the point. It was nothing burger punctuated by emotionally immature women detailing an unhealthy relationship that lasted a year. The entire season could have been cropped into a single 45 minute episode. My absolute favorite was the host reading from psychology articles (?) for up five minutes at a time. It made zero sense and felt like some fluff to lengthen the time. I feel bad she was in an unhealthy relationship. She was clearly manipulated and gaslit but how arrogant and self righteous are you make an ENTIRE SERIES bashing this man.

    Outstanding Podcast!
First-the new rendition of your Title song is a JAM!!! I am such a fan of the work you do! I’m an avid listener, & surprising me with the area I live, being the stage for this latest season… well, a girl couldn’t ask for more!! Thank you for all of the difficult work you do! You are changing lives with the sharing of these stories & knowledge!! We are all so grateful!! 👏🏻❤️

    Great pod!
Please stop adding the underlying bed of violin music in the background, it’s very distracting. Other than that, love this pod!

    10/10 podcast
Love this podcast. Season 20 is already an attention grabber but I wish it had been a bigger reveal that Jess was the catfish. Either way I'm hooked now. Keep up the great work that you do with helping these people get their stories out and being a huge source of support for them.

    For Real:
@ Jennifer Khalifa: OMG how many years did you say you were in a relationship with this jerk? You had so many, many opportunities to ditch this “friendship.” You need to take some responsibility for staying in it for as long as you did and being as old as you were. Yes everything he did was horrible but - at SOME point it became a choice. You had a choice. What about your friends, they warned you and told you they didn’t like him over and over. I guess it was the jerk’s fault if you didn’t listen to your friends. He was horrible but, face it, you did what you wanted to do, you’ll never really heal until you own your part in what happened.

    Amazing
I love this podcast! I feel like I learn something from each episode. I’m sure that my age is higher than their normal demographic, but I have listened for several years. I have also binged the earlier episodes. I’d say the only negative about this podcast is that it’s once a week. I always listen as soon they drop. The women and men on the podcast are so brave and Tiffany does a fantastic job. I wish that I could give you all a giant hug. Weird, I know

    Delivery problems
4/18/24 is it just me or does Tiffany jumping-in giving her pov annoy to you too? Unfollowing. Season17update (horrid. After all these years, all i remember is her love life overriding her baby deaths) …seasons become difficult to hear, not because of victims story, but delivery; it can get gossipy overriding impact statement. Season 17, like everyone else pointed out, is disturbing in many ways. That episode were woman losses her baby, and ends with her finding the love of her life?! Again… delivery. We care more about the child than her toxic love life.

First I love this podcast! Second… THIS episode IS insane!!!
  • wendleslove
    It started great.
Season 1 was great but went downhill rapidly. Please return your focus to quality, not quantity. They’re just pumping them out now. The storylines are done poorly, people clearly reading from a script, rushed stories, etc.

    Listen to your instincts
Therapists, friends, family, church…. This podcast is the only thing that helped me to realize the situation we are living in IS abusive. It was the catalyst that sent me on a journey of self-love and understanding. Thank you!

    Lost its Luster
The last year or so its been a miss. Was a long time listener.

    Serious question
In Ep 2, season 20, when we say “talk”, we mean text right? So Jess is the only one she ever saw in person or talked to live? (Not texted!). That is the dumbest most insane thing I have literally ever heard. Get smarter.

    My favorite podcast!!
I listen to a lot of podcasts but SOMETHING WAS WRONG has become my clear favorite! Every season pulls me in and Tiffany is so dedicated to victims advocacy as well as prevention and education. Her own personal story lends credence to that. She is a pro at what she does. I am always excited to see a new season and then the next episodes! Rock on Tiffany! And, her other project with Amy B Chessler, WHAT CAME NEXT is equally good. 👍

This podcast has helped me heal
Thank you, Tiffany, and to everyone involved in this podcast. You guys are heroes. I feel seen.

If you 21 years or older don’t bother
My intent is not malicious whatsoever, but I feel obligated to let my peers know not to bother wasting your time with this. I’m sorry to say that because you seem like good people. But some stories are only a podcast to the person that experienced them. The podcast production is tolerable to listen to, though it annoyed me to hear everyone repeat the same story. If you could call it a story. There is no story. If you are in your 30s and not happily married at a young age, you’ve experienced this kind of man at least a couple of times. I have a handful of stories much worse than this and I’m a good person that makes sound decisions. You’re just not old enough to know this is absolutely normal and your first mistake was thinking you had a perfect relationship worthy of marriage at 20 yrs old after a short time dating. Lordy. 🙃 I was waiting for the shoe to drop for.ev.er. and it never did. I forgave them a little bit when I heard they were 19-20 at the time, but then it made me angry that anyone thought this was a good idea for them to get married at that age, especially the parents. They should know better. The adolescent brain is not even fully developed until age 23, so I forgive you. But parents. It doesn’t matter if he seemed amazing, it had only been a few months, and anyone that has ever dated anyone knows the truth comes out after a few months. This is a cautionary tale for teenagers and incredibly naive people, but otherwise is a nothing story that drags on when it’s better off as a one paragraph story on a reddit page or something. I look forward to your podcast 20 years from now, reflecting on this silly story after real-life relationship experience under your belt.

I love this podcast and still binge listen while waiting for new ones. But please bring back full seasons again.

    Too “Woke”
Edited: tried to give s19 a listen to see if it was better. The whole “He was awesome, but he was a Trump supporter so that was my first red flag,” is ridiculous. The guest works for planned parenthood which specializes in murd3ring children. Why in the world would she expect that she was going to create a good relationship with a conservative? Everything she is goes against conservative values. Also, why is she constantly leaving her child with the parents she bashed in her first episode? She doesn’t seem to be too concerned with their parenting when it benefits her with free childcare. The constant victim mindset of her guests and persistent use of woke buzzwords make this unlistenable. S17 was negligent at best. Tiffany herself doesn’t seem to do a whole lot of research when it comes to the people she chooses to spotlight. Seems more like libel to me than actual factual information.

    love it all.
Just listened to the latest pod about the person who caught her own stalker. I LOVE her business. Just Wow. She is an Outstanding human filling a huge gap for many. Powerful!! ❤️❤️So much respect for her endurance and willingness to want better for others. Thank you also for your civil leadership, which is essential and exhausting. Many loopholes as you pointed out on the really informative pod. If you ever need a remote employee, I’m your GAL!!

I used to be a listener. Now I just find it completely unlistenable and so cringy.

Please stop changing your thumbnail logo
I like the show but I keep skipping over it in my queue because I don’t recognize the thumbnail logos. Why do you keep changing them? Please stop! The lack of continuity is causing confusion and inconveniences. Rebranding constantly erodes loyalty.

Abuse is more normal than you think
There’s so many bad reviews against these women’s stories. People don’t realize that even if something truly obscene happens to you, there’s not equal legal repercussions for the person who committed the crimes. The law does not take abuse seriously. These stories for as ‘repetitive’ as they seem, happen all the time in subtle or blatant ways but are not talked about because people get dismissed as ‘overreacting’ or ‘being sensitive’. This podcast is the only way individuals can share their stories, find validation in their pain, and in extreme cases, speak up loud enough to get law enforcement to take abuse seriously.

    Season 20
Looking forward to another season! Love listening to the weekly episodes.
  • Be DietBetter than that
Love the full season stories, not the 1-2 episode stories
Would rather yall wait and investigate stories to make them last a whole season. I don’t listen to the 1-2 episode stories, but love the season long stories.

    What even.
I’ve been listening to this show since the beginning and Loved most of the episodes, but Gianas story is mind boggling. The fact that you could have left 10000 times and chose to stay? And her family. Ugh. I could not stand the entire story, please choose who’s story you share because there’s a difference between them. This Emilia Character, WHAT EVEN. She would DRIVE HIM DRUNK TO THe hospitals STUPID STUPID STUPID. The anti trump hate speech is ridiculous

Keep Politics Out of Your Podcast
I used to like this show. I thought it was helpful but I recently listened to Season 19 episode 14 and of course they’re bashing Trump. Keep your political views to yourself. It’s annoying and cringe when I hear people hate on Trump. Especially during these times.
  • Why can't nickname b same?
    Season 18 e 1
I was abused by a long term boyfriend and find comfort in hearing that I wasn’t alone. This story, however, feels like it takes away from the message of your podcast. The person, Alexis, glossed over the possibly real relationship issue and chose to share a story about a slimy DJ. He lies, cheats, and ghosts. She picked a terrible person. She picked a white poser and had big issues with that. She still pursued. She was feeling lonely and desperate. She seems super naive and gullible. However, the possible s*xual assault she shared wasn’t her story to tell. The fact that she spent up to an hour breaking into a room is not okay. She then seemed to stalk him. She inserted herself into a main character situation. She has so much baggage that wasn’t addressed. This missed the mark on so many levels, it makes me not want to listen anymore. Why would you put this episode out there?
  • HHI_SC
    Anti-TRUMP AGENDA
Disgustingly woke and the anti-Trump undertones(both explicit and implicit) is unnecessary and isolates the audience that allows you monetize your podcasts. You are intellectually stunted.
  • bluefernn
Used to be a much better listen
It used to be interesting while teaching important lessons; every detail mattered. Now it’s kind of the same thing every episode and a lot of unnecessary fluff… the last three-ish seasons have just not been very good and I haven’t been able to get through them. Maybe if there isn’t a TON of substance to a story there could be a season of a different story each episode? Maybe each person doesn’t need an entire season.
  • Imasiasl
    Thank you!
Thank you so much for giving survivors a voice Tiffany and SWW!

    Needs more editing
So repetitive, felt frustrated trying to listen to the Amy episodes

    RECAP
A little recap at the beginning of new multi-part episodes would go a looong way. The episodes come out so far apart, I literally have no idea what the person’s story was from the last episode. It makes it hard to care about the conclusion when I spend half the episode trying to figure out which story this even was. Also, better descriptions for past episodes, making sure all the multi-part episodes are numbered. It’s so hard the navigate/find what I want to listen to.

    Progressively getting worse
I used to LOVE this podcast and would recommend it to all of my friends. I can’t even get through an episode anymore. Season 17 never should have happened. For the latest seasons, I can tell you exactly what each episode will be about before it starts. “I met a guy. I saw red flags, especially because he is a Trump supporter. Guy turned out to be bad.” The end.

Why do all these girls sound the same?
Sarah is just a liar. There are no one night stands with your boyfriend. And every white gurl says they were told they couldn’t have children to justify keeping their unwanted child. Do you know any Black people? All these White girls with the sing-song voices are aggravating. And their “trauma” isn’t really trauma. The girl telling a story about her brother Rory, she never says WHAT he did to her, correction, she never SINGS what he did to her she’s basically just talking about all the annoying things a brother can do. She’s annoying, it’s awful that she’s been allowed to reproduce. It’s aggravating. All of these girls are aggravating. ZERO STARS
  • BettieBloem
    Very drawn out
The interviewers are allowed to just talk and talk and many of them are talking about the same thing, so it’s quite repetitive. It’s more interesting when an interviewer, who is trained to keep people on track AND to keep the show interesting, interjects with comments. Even in editing, post interview comments can be added. Many of the episodes lose my interest.
  • Lf68528
It’s amazing how boring this was
The story is interesting but was told in the most boring way
  • GGGGGGGGIINNNNAAAA
    Sara
These episodes are eye opening. But the Sara series was hard to listen to. She takes zero accountability for her bad choices. It tells me she will continue to make bad choices, especially if she can blame her bad choices on everyone else. I hope the interviewer took the opportunity to be transparent with her off air.
  • Kwoodcock123
    Repetitive and long…
This could be an amazing podcast if it was cut down about 3 episodes… so many things said over and over and over. There is an entire episode of people telling us how awesome Amy is. Yes, she is great and I admire her courage, but in the interest of the listener, please consider editing a LOT in the future.

    “Great Photo, Lovely Life”
I wanted to share this documentary that I watched last night on Max. Five minutes in, I didn’t think I could get through it, but I did. It’s about one family confronting their abuser and the way they went about it. I wanted to thank you for this important podcast. I’ve been listening on & off for years. You are all so brave!

    Millennial fest
I listened to season 1 and bailed. This podcast was 95% interview tapes. And like when you like have like millennials talking for like 40 minutes. It is like fingernails on a like blackboard. Edit, please!

    Editing has gotten worse
Most of the time podcasts get better over time, but this one is getting worse. It’s frustrating trying to listen to a story that is repetitive and has a host interjecting, but not adding any comments of value. Would recommend improving editing skills.
  • ELiz M 2020
    Blah
I hope the show goes back to telling stories. This season is mostly victim-slang with no relatable story.
  • fatstuffalicious
    Slid downhill
The interviewing seems to have laxed somewhat… the storytelling isn’t as good as it used to be. Also, good god Jake Deptula spoke for entirely too long at the beginning of S19 “Amy,” as he does on his own podcast.
  • Nick87!
    Stories need to be filtered
    Sarah’s story is insufferable.
  • blackcrimejunkie
    Someone was stupid… still
90% of the women ignore huge red flags that they see, witness and discover. The other 10% are true victims and it’s sad they get overshadowed by the 90%. They ignore when best friends and family warn them and say something is wrong. They ignore blatant proof of all suspicions which at that point, you’re not a victim. You’re a willing participant. Lack of accountability , boundaries and discernment are common in 90% of these stories. However to those 10%,they are true victims. No one deserves to be abused or r*ped. It’s never your fault when attacked.
