Fantastic Podcast. Wish it came back
This is an amazing podcast. Syed provides great balance to the highly energetic Flintoff and Savage. Lots of fun, honesty, and entertainment. As a Table Tennis enthusiast, I was seeking for a Table Tennis podcast and stumbled upon this podcast which covers all sports in general, particularly Football, Cricket, and Table Tennis. I only wish the podcast would return for another season.

    binge
came across this by chance in USA. Binged it. The best podcast ive had the pleasure of listening to, spoiled only by the opinionated ping pong guy. Freddie and Robbie are superb, honest, open, funny. The other guy doesnt have the wit or personality to match those two. Still, pit up with the banality of Matthew and enjoy Robbie and Freddie.

Whoever pieced together this trio is a genius
Matthew does a wonderful job of keeping the boys under control and steering the conversation, his journalistic and sports experience are key in making this podcast brilliant. Freddie is hilarious and so quick witted and Robbie, oh bless him, Robbie. What a lovely bloke and both of them have amazing stories to share - listen and enjoy everyone.

    Best topical sport podcast
3 down to earth top blokes from different backgrounds, sports and cultures. These guys make me appreciate what’s great about sport, friendship and realities in life. The mental health podcast, recent conversation about Raheem Sterling and the insight into different industries makes me feel positive and upbeat. It’s their differences and their openness that works. When they take a break it’s miserable. I live in Chicago and this podcast makes me feel connected to home and proper blokes. Great show please don’t keep taking long breaks. The show makes a difference in people’s lives.

    A bit self indulgent.....
The first series was ok. Now it’s just like listening to three blokes down the pub. Everyone has an opinion about everything these days, if you want Flintoff’s, Savage’s and Syed’s listen to this......

    Recycling material.
Subjects are different but the content and opinions are the same. I’ve listened to various incarnations but it’s getting far too indigent and predictable. Loved the original honesty, this now feels manufactured.

    Great Banter
Love the banter and stories. Love how Sav had this life changing event and wanted to only only focus on positives, then came back next week with a right cob on about traffic. No sav we don’t all hate ya 😉

    The best podcast
Love this podcast. Listened to each episode twice through as it is so entertaining and I can relate to so many of the discussions had. Live in the US and makes me feel connected to UK sport while driving to work. 5 star.

    Less ping pong guy
Fred and robbie are hilarious. I could listen to them all day. But the ping pong guy is a useless nobody. He should just facilitate but injects too many of his pointless opinions. Ill give this podcast five stars when he gets less airtime.

    Waiting for Tuesday!!
Due to time difference from UK - can’t wait for Tuesday morning to have the latest instalment. Usually listen to it in the gym and people wonder why I am laughing to myself. Awesome.

    Freddie is a legend.
Hated Freddie when he was a player but my opinion of him has really changed over the course of this podcast.

Spot on Freddie with the flat earth

    Inspiring and entertaining
The honesty of this podcast is excellent, it feels like Fred, Sav & Syed forget we are listening at times. Robbie’s revelations about his insecurities with his build growing up are inspiring. So often society recognizes insecurities of the overweight but not those under. For young men it can be emasculating. Fred’s outlook on life rings true too, what’s the worst that could happen? Nobody died! Mathew, stops it all becoming a parody of locker room banter. Nice one lads.
  • Keep making it
    Always worth a listen
Three honest blokes giving honest opinion, great stories, and plenty of laughs...outstanding chemistry!

    Love it!
I am an American woman who knows nothing about sports in the US, let alone the UK- so I'm definitely not the target demographic for this podcast- but I love it! Fred, Sav and Syed are very entertaining and keep me laughing on my commute. I appreciate their honesty on tough topics and enjoy hearing about their experiences as athletes and their love for their families. Keep up the good work, guys! xx

    Great listen
Great to hear some candid insight into the life of a professional sportsman. Who knew that Robbie Savage was actually not a bad bloke!
  • neale64
    Funny, entertaining and oft-times moving
Flintoff delivers like a comedian, and Sav is Sav with his great stories. The mental illness podcast was incredible. The ping pong guy, whojamaflip, does a great job guiding the podcast and is a great sport...even if ping pong isn't. Keep it up please.

    Great insights
A very good podcast - you get an insight into their careers, and anecdotes you probably haven't heard before from their lives. Great work!

    Loving it!
Top show! I'm a Brit working as a truck driver in the USA, and after catching one of the shows randomly off the 5 live when it was broadcast, I downloaded all the podcasts. I love the way you guys mix banter with serious topics (the first episode I heard was the one on mental health with some issues I can relate to). Also, it's really good to hear the warts and all perspective of being within a sporting environment and what actually goes on in a dressing room - something us sports fans rarely get to hear about or even think about. I must have listened to the podcasts released at least three times already so far. They make the endless hours on the interstate fly by. Looking forward to the rowing challenge at the end of the series! I hope you guys do a second series once you've reached the end of this one! (Are you reading this Mr. 5live commissioner??) Thanks for creating fantastic, entertaining (and informative) radio! ~ Richard

    One not to miss!

    Love, love, love this!
This is hands down my new favourite podcast. I love how raw all three presenters are. They demonstrate humour, humility and authenticity. I'm also enjoying how applicable the conversations are to my work life – the psychology of sports maps really well to Corporate America.

    A great trio of storytellers.
Told with humour, emotion and from the blokes who experienced them. Great stories and opinions. Flintoff, Savage & Syed have great chemistry and humility.
