Really? UFC 300 coming up at weeks end and you talk about a Jon Jones drug test and WWE…come on man, that’s not interesting at all especially this week. Surely with a total of 77 main eventers, UFC champions and former champions packed into this card you’d think there was some relevant material pertaining to this weekends huge card. Dear Chael, I’ve been listening to you for so long, I feel like I know you. Being that, I feel like I know you, I feel like I can talk to you like a friend. I have always loved listening to your show, as it is both informative and entertaining– –EXCEPT today, when I listen to your Friday, April 5 show, as well as another show several months back. The one from several months ago was so horrifying, I stopped listening for a while. That was the one where you told a dreadful story about a family being tied to their chairs, in their own home, and then being murdered. Friday, you used an odious expression twice – – different verb, same meaning – – “beating the dog” and “whipping the dog.” I know you didn’t mean it literally. And I, like I’m sure most others, knew what you meant. But it is not an image I want to think about and I’m sure I’m not alone. With so much abuse in this world – – especially animal abuse – – why exacerbate it by using horrific expressions?

Chael brings the best angles for all things combat news! His personal anecdotes are bar none. I’m thankful for my life everyday but extra thankful on Tuesdays and Fridays. Thank you Mr. Chael!

I nearly discovered this show by accident, because of some random UFC related FB page. These days, I check Apple Podcast every other day to see if a new episode has dropped. Wildly entertaining and insightful. I’ve been an MMA fan since I began training in Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) and Muay Thai when I was enlisted many years ago. My son is 9 and trains Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, and Shotokan Karate. Listening to this podcast, he and I both feel closer to the sport we love as a result. Thank you, Uncle Chael!

I’ll admit I’m bias I can’t go an hour once the Friday workday (SAAS Sales) is done without listening to the most recent Bad Guy Episode. If you listen before minute 19 when he was breaking down the fight no one asked for (Gaethje/Max) to which I always agree with Uncle Chael no matter the circumstances but I must have been in my “minds eye”, but Max asked for that fight on Twitter/X. He did it in a respectful way toJustin, but he gushed over the belt and being the type of fighter that fights for that belt. Every answer at 155 can be solved with Gaethje (my favorite fighter) still applies however many years later(not my W). I would rather him sit out or get another crack on the feet with Mr. Papercut or quite preferably go toe 2 toe versus The Champ Islam Mahachev. Anyways the point was that was by far the most eloquent fast flow from Chael I’ve heard. In another life that didn’t involve a big truck at a stop sign, arguing legal accumen, real estate or MMA he would have been the top salesman in any vertical. One of my real life Hero’s who protects his Family, Town and lives by a very straight forward code. Chael P. Sonnen. Listen to this 5 Star podcast.

Chael got me into mma. The first fight I went to live was Chael v Filho II in South Florida. I was 19 years old and spent half my paycheck on the tickets to take my dad. 15 years later I’m still a fan of the only podcast to never lose a single round week in and week out. Thanks for your contribution to the sport Uncle Chael. One more for the record book, one more for the win column and one more 5 star review for the bad guy.

Chael analyzing fighting news has become my favorite two hours of the week! His takes are always very on point and I feel like when I disagree with him about something by the end of the hour he has me convinced I was wrong. Appreciate the great work champ thanks for keeping us entertained!

I listen to various MMA podcasts during my runs. I even spend some time albeit limited listening to yours. Goofy and quasi entertaining at times. However, your recent interview on the most popular show, Helwani, was a debacle for you. When one lacks a cogent argument and generally is unintelligible they resort to name calling and yelling. Your performance yesterday was abhorrent and clearly exposed your true personality. Very poor job!! Name calling reflected your own frustrations in life. Perhaps your upset that Helwani is far more popular and accomplished? I’m a cardiologist and not a psychiatrist so I am not qualified to know why you acted like a child. The profuse sweating and threats were also a tell sign that you are an angry and frustrated person. You were an accomplished fighter and most famous for losing major fights. Now you are like a cartoon character who yells, spits, threatens and does name calling like a spoiled frustrated and unhappy child. What a crash from accomplished fighter to an angry man. Not a big deal for me as I can simply delete you from my podcast listening life as there are many alternatives.

Been a fan since your Bodog days, you really do and say no wrong in my book, can’t say enough good things about you. But the way in which you went at Ariel on his latest podcast was way out of character for you, and it’s one of the very few times you came out of an argument not looking great. And it was all self inflicted, the guys had your back ever since I can remember, he didn’t deserve the petty name calling, you’re way better than that. And I know you well enough to know when your shootin’ and when your workin’, that was a tough day at work for you. Hey much love and respect for you, you inspire me to be a better man and father, never stop being the Bad Guy.

I listen to Chael because he usually offers something different than the rest of the MMA media. Why is it different? Because he’s a contrarian who seems to decide what he wants to say before he knows whether it’s a good take. Like a broken clock, he is right for two seconds a day (out of 86,400). Recently he spent weeks (if not months) saying that Francis Ngannou was completely outmatched by Tyson Fury. He said it was the “biggest mismatch” in sports of his entire life. He said Ngannou was the Globetrotters to Fury’s Lakers. What did he say when Ngannou performed well and possibly won the fight? That BOXING IS FAKE. Not that his take was wrong but that the sport of boxing is wrong. Imagine being so obtuse that you would blame an entire sport instead of admitting you were wrong. Laughable stuff. Worth a listen with a pound of salt.

Yeah after the fight I instantly wanted Kamaru in a 5 rounder again. Either DDP usman fight night ME 5 round. Or Backup for title fight. I thought I was alone but hearing someone else say it makes more sense now .
