Every Tuesday and Friday, tech journalist Kara Swisher and NYU Professor Scott Galloway offer sharp, unfiltered insights into the biggest stories in tech, business, and politics. They make bold predictions, pick winners and losers, and bicker and banter like no one else. After all, with great power comes great scrutiny. From New York Magazine and the Vox Media Podcast Network.

    Unfortunate
Expected Kara (at the very minimum) to correct Scott on inaccuracy stated about protest on college campuses, including at UCLA. Lost credibility in my book
  • Beemer01
    Absolutely brilliant
One of the very best podcasts out there. I wish I’d had these folks as professors back in the day.
  • tilghmac
    Ugh
Scott your ridiculous take on schools is madening. talking out of both sides of your mouth. Kids are bad ;kids are good. Fire teachers who protest? Why. First you seem to bash all protesters then you go on about how great the kids are. Stop feeding the narrative emphasizing the small number of agitators who probably come from outside. The kids are alright!!!

    Unsubscribe
Free Palestine. Had to unsubscribe and won’t listen to any other podcast featuring either host. It’s unfortunate that two smart people are completely ill informed and one-sided about what’s happens to Gazans.
  • Louatx
    Gross Womanizer
The man on this podcast keeps objectifying women, talking about sex and dating, ‘I want my women younger and with daddy issues’. These are the ‘jokes’ Kara tolerates? Gross. Can you reel it in and stop congratulating yourselves and showing off? We understand how you got a podcast. We get it. Now can we just focus on the topics at hand? Sicko.

    Scott is great
Kara sounds like Bidens daughter! She makes me quite nauseous. But I’m sure she really doesn’t care.

    Great Podcast
Kara, please ask Scott to stop with the context collapsing analogies e.g., WWII vs Gaza etc….. It doesn’t reflect intelligence, but MTG thought processes.

    Not as enjoyable anymore
Given Scott galoway’s violent and disturbing rhetoric regarding Palestine it is almost impossible to listen to this podcast anymore.
  • Dav90id
    Yikes.
I was truly a fan until Scott continued his biased rants on Palestine and praised Mike Johnson.

    Worth listening to
Both hosts are smart and liberal. The best part is the interviews with “friend of Pivot”. They have access to a lot of great guests because of their tech and financial careers. I only wish Kara would stop saying “anyways”.

    Trump wannabes
This show used to be quite good but the two hosts have ruined it with their excessive bragging, name-dropping, and virtue-signaling. They have morphed into Trump himself with their narcissism.

Scott is interesting to listen to, co-host Kara is annoying and just talks for no reason.

What an incredible downhill slide into racism and vulgar misogyny
    Woof. What a decline.

If you would like to hear about the world through the minds of two good ones. Listen to these two. Favorite podcast yet. And I like podcasts.

    Cotton Galloway…
…Scott Galloway’s Hasbara on his Land of the Chosen People of the Kahane Master Race = hard pass on this pod. *** Until Galloway picks up a baseball bat and starts cracking heads at Columbia and Yale, he’s just another Tom Cotton with a limp, small hands Itamar Ben-Gvir fetish.

Listening to his Zionist rhetoric makes my ears bleed.

The lights are on, but no one’s home
Scott was recently on MSNBC claiming that China is manipulating the youth because there are “52 pro-Hamas” TikToks for each one that is sympathetic to Israel. How he has achieved his success in life is a mystery to me and a clear indictment of the US.
  • Jacks7788
    Scott is a blabbering racist
Scott Galloway does not care that 14K Palestinian children have been murdered by Israel in 6 months. He does not believe Palestinians deserve human rights. He lacks a total understanding of what Israel has done to Palestinians for 75 years. Why do people want to listen to a rich marketing professor’s opinions on global affairs?

This podcast has gotten so bad
First- let me say I used to really like This podcast and learned a lot over the months about technology and politics and how they intersect. And if Kara or Scott had a take I didn’t agree with, it was fine. But now they’re both genocide supporters and Scott has become the biggest perv with his weird jokes. I can’t in good conscience listen so I’m out. Gonna find another show. Maybe Chris Hayes podcast.

    Don’t ever replace this duo
I listen to both of your individual properties but this is a perfect example of better together. Scott, you need to take less vacations! I get a little bummed when it’s a guest host because it usually skews in one direction.
  • Bodenhamers
    Semi listenable
I preface by praising the content. It is fun and interesting to hear insights into the issues of the day with these two. It’s the off-topic banter I object to. I do not care about Scott Galloway’s endless personal stories of travel, celebrity, and licentiousness, all couched in self deprecating ED jokes. Honestly, it’s just kind of sad. I usually REALLY like his commentaries and insights, but it is a bit much to have 5 minutes of each podcast consumed by Small Things. And Kara’s self-righteous tirades are both grating and vulgar. Her attack on Uri Berliner were particularly offensive. He was with NPR for >20 years, but he (perhaps sloppily) called out real problems at NPR, and was met with Kara’s strident, myopic, and useless ranting. Perhaps I’m wrong, but would it hurt to just present the facts, issues, and opinions, leaving out the rest? It would make for a better podcast. I have the “skip 30 seconds” button memorized on my phone to relieve me of the banter.
  • FSLC86
Can’t deal with the narcissism anymore
Kara- please work on putting a coherent argument and sentence together!! Beyond trite and boring now. The near constant bragging and self promotion is absurd and at least half of each pod. Save your time and patience from these two ultra-privileged people. Truly their success has been luck and opportunity, I doubt it would be the same for them if they were coming up in todays world. At least Scott admits this.

    Special Needs Host + Lame
This is a terrible host, a worse person outside the show, and a podcast that deserves to fail on its own merits.
  • J Lorne
    Breathtakingly lazy
Scott's analysis on anything relating to another part of the world just veers into uninformed jingoism and speculation. Stick to what you guys know.
  • SoSadToLeave
    Sad
I have listened since the beginning. I have learned so much and have appreciated all of the work you both have put into the show. However...... I can no longer tolerate your egos and disrespectful banter towards each other. Too much competition.....it’s ruining your chemistry! Kara....please stop being so cruel and self-righteous. Bragging endlessly about your book, who you know, and who you hate - has taken its toll on the Podcast. I cannot listen to all of your self-promotion and feel embarrassed for you. How can you be 62 and still not know how to conduct yourself with some level of grace and humility? It's time for me to PIVOT off and stop listening.
  • Bizboi69
Scott would eat a Palestinian baby if it sold more books, Kara has 2 brain cells at best
If you just listened, you’d think X and Disney were the only companies in the US and that Scott is an Israeli conservative. A couple years ago, I enjoyed this pod. However, Scott is a sentient edible stating the obvious with the air of someone thoughtful. He’s a pseudo-conservative who believes in capitalist growth above all and never interacts on the podcasts with anyone who disagrees with him (he did once with a finance prof who shut down his claim all companies were doing well). Scott seems eager to claim successful people are so based on luck but not self aware enough to realize this in himself - he also thinks FL did a “good job” with COVID. This dude lied on his resume to get into investment banking and thought NFTs would blow up because his kids play video games- mediocre source of advice. If Kara would ever shut up about herself, listeners would realize her stroke left her with two brain cells and they’re overwhelmed. She seems consistently confused about the world, struggling to make even surface level statements about the show’s topics. She constantly talks over Scott and guests about her past ‘successes’ and wealth.
  • Petticoat Despot
    Becoming unlistenable
I loved this show for the longest time, but Scott’s ill-informed and condescending takes on Israel have rendered this near unlistenable. I shouldn’t be so surprised from someone who uses the term “human capital” so freely and unironically. Truly personifies the phrase “often wrong, never in doubt.”

Great show when Scott is on holiday
I took a break for a few months and tried to listen again because I like Kara. Can’t do it. Listening to Scott’s rich white man’s no it all opinions makes me feel so gross. The man obviously thinks he has a heart but he’s wrong. It’s just too much, I tried!
  • grrrrxoxo
    Gross
I’ve learned a lot of stuff from this show but have been disgusted lately especially with the coverage of Israel/Palestine. Scott has given some aggressive misinformation and given to context or facts to back up his pro-war opinions. He was repeatedly said that there is no comparison between the civil rights issues of black and brown people in America and Palestinians in Israel and Gaza and then gives no further explanation of why. If you’re going to have such an aggressive take, at least EXPLAIN WHY. This is just an example of how these hosts how seem so out of touch and misinformed. DO BETTER.

    Kara …enough
Really Kara “you’re too famous to be on a dating app”???? You have got to find some humility in your persona.…..I hate to break this to you but 1/2 the time I mention I listen to this podcast ….EVERYONE knows who Scoot is and I usually have to explain who you are and I always get a look of confusion like “never heard of her before” . And before you go to say they are all stupid, almost all of my of my friends have advance degrees from prestigious universities….so their not stupid….,you just need to just tone it down….you’re not all that…..and in the spirit of the title of this review…..enough about your book. You didn’t cure cancer….you were a reporter…..granted, no Maureen Dowd, no Christian’s Amanpour but successful nonetheless….ill give you that. But a memoirs ?? Really?? You’re not 80…..At those reporters are famous. You are the definition of someone who likes to hear herself speak…,please find some humility….its an important quality….take a cue from Scott….he makes fun of himself all the time…..I don’t think you have in you to do that…unfortunately, I find you insufferable and have decided to no longer listen to this podcast. Scott - Kira is so “off brand for you”…do better.,,,considering you hight of popularity, you could get a number if really smart woman to team up with. I think you would be excellent with Jessica Tarlov…you two were amazing on Bill Maher. And by the way….this review is being written by a woman…..I see all the comments from other woman bashing Scott…..please….I'm so over all the make bashing…..it boring!

    Scott returns even better
Scott, I created the below review last year. Recently you seem to have grown angrier and sadder with more of a “my way or the highway” attitude. Hope you find more peace. It’s refreshing how Scott came back from his long vacation and is so much kinder to Kara. I loved the show before but the new equal friendship steps it up a level. Thanks for the consistently solid show.
  • The Big Guy Who Knows Stuff
The wheels are coming off, Kara.
I used to love this show and there’s a lot of great value in this podcast. Even knowing that Scott and Cara openly swing very left, they used to at least take a least biased approach to analysis. Scott mostly holds that standard but Kara has fallen off. It’s hard to listen to when she takes big swings at others for things that she does herself. Making blanket statements, without research back by emotion. The last 10 episodes have continued to bend in this direction. Lastly, the topics are getting a little too narrow. There is more conversation about Twitter/X on this podcast than actually on the platform itself. It is not worth their time.
  • Shadwell von Bernstein
    Egos and tasteless bragging sessions
Long time listener but I’m out of here. I’m here for discussions, news, interviews. That Scott felt it necessary to state that only hedge funds can afford his speaking fees reveals what an attention seeking little infant he is. Kara has to tell us over and over how she was the originator of this not that and is apparently superior to all humans in her work. Enough. You have money, you have recognition. Heck even Elon doesn’t talk about himself this much.

Scott Needs to Get it Together
Scott needs to get a grip. His commentary on Iran and DEI are almost too much. I am close to taking this podcast out of my rotation.

    past its prime
have been a long time listener & i’m finally tapping out. Scott Galloway should stick to his area of expertise instead of screaming about his desires for another Iraq war in the middle east. a podcast that started as centrist has drifted increasingly rightwing instead of staying focused on technology. disappointing. Scott needs to take some time for introspection here.
  • KyeP27
Galloway’s Slobbering over the “West”, “Israel” and TikTok bashing has reached a peak
I once loved this show, but now I find Galloway’s humor and slobbering over Israel to be intolerable. Also, his take on banning TikTok is ridiculous. Swisher’s solo podcast has replaced this one for me.
  • lsh2123
This show used to be good
Now it’s so annoying. Is Scott okay?? The preaching from on high is hard to take seriously what with the crude jokes and incredible self indulgence that takes up an enormous portion of each episode
  • RR iTunes
    Great guests and insights
They make you think about things in a different way. Great guests. Funny, informative and enjoyable to listen to. A few annoyances: Kara needs to stop interrupting everyone and Scott needs to stop talking about how rich he is all the time.

    One dumb joke too many
It was the Tim Cook pickup line suggestion involving “Uranus”.. har har har. Listening to this had started to feel like complicity. If Galloway thinks people really want to listen to these contributions and his brilliant ideas re masculinity and “mating” (barf) he should start another podcast and see how it goes.
  • The Lizzy Bear
    Disappointed
I had to stop listening because of how arrogant and obnoxious the woman is. Her self righteous political beliefs make this podcast unbearable. The guy seems smart and good thoigh. I’d listen to him without her!
  • crisf
    Great podcast
Kara and scott omg you have me LOLing in the most random places. Uranus LOL 😂😂😂
  • yasmineaeaea
Used to be a favorite of mine
But now it’s just insufferable. Scott (and Kara) are out of their depth when they discuss global affairs, but Scott seems to think he has insight on worldly matters because he’s rich and travels. He is incredibly tribalistic and militaristic in reference to Palestine and Ukraine. You’d think the military were cutting this guy a check. Both hosts are arrogant, but Scott is just a slime ball lately. Scott and Kara should take their own advice and get some second opinions on some of the things they say, especially in regards to inequality, poverty, etc… unfortunately, they’re so deeply impressed with people who’ve made money that it’s tough to listen to them. At their best, Scott and kara help me feel patriotic and informed on tech, at their worst, the show is held hostage by Scott’s random self-important favorite opinions and Kara’s self promotion.
  • AaronEd_93
    Some insight, some vapid commentary
I’ll listen every few episodes and always pick up a few things about the tech industry that I didn’t know before. There is good insight here. However, these hosts are so full of themselves and their amazing lives, there is no attempt at humility in anything they say. For some reason Kara thinks we all need insight from her college-aged son. Why? He seems to think he’s smarter than all the tech companies out there. When Scott talks about someone, he always mentions their looks. That should tell you something about the kinds of things this guy (that’s so into being a “man”) values.
