PhotoLyric4/4/2024 Still listening. Very comforting. It’s both a laugh and a big hug. Thank you so much!I will be listening redundantly. I can’t work without your voices! My former message… Thanking you every day So excited to have you back on Podcasts on iPhone. BBC Sounds is great but since it’s not with my other things it’s less accessible when limited to that location only. Thank you thank you thank you! When the day is dreary and I have nonsensical work to do that I’m not interested in which requires a very small portion of my brain, I turn you two on and dedicate most of my brain to you at which point I become equally enlighten and amused. Thank you so much for your particular uniqueness as a team. I greatly appreciate the dynamic and whether or not you reveal the inner workings of your friendship, it resonates in every word exchanged.

bpheeeeHi Miss Jane GarveyAAAHHH!!!!!! My name is Jane! I can’t believe it! The moment I listened to it I was like, “the host’s name is Jane!” That’s sooooooo cool! Hi Miss Jane!

USA2006UnsubscribedWho oh why, are you Fi giving credence to the diatribe that is Meghan Markle. I was such a fan of you girls and accept that we are all entitled to our opinions and how we interpret information but you lost me with your empathy for someone who clearly duped you. Sadly an unsubscribed but will miss you two.
-
LouiseSh87Just lovelyFi and Jane, you are national treasures. Matters up for discussion are sometimes serious, often trivial, but always entertaining. The hosts’ affection for each other seems very genuine. They are both funny, intelligent and humble. This podcast is deeply comforting, I’ve been so grateful for it during this strange and challenging year. Thank you!

beanburgersThese 2!Just so much fun!!!!

Mumm GMental vacation everyday🙌🏼From Southern California. I’ve been a fan of Women’s Hours for years. Jane’s voice relaxes me. So happy to discover this podcast. Love to listen to their chit chat. Random at times which is just like me & friends.
-
haigc6Love the companyI’ve just found your podcast. British born American raised. I have loved the company during the lockdown and the distraction from the very heavy events of the day. Heard your angst about not discussing the George Floyd killing and the protests. I didn’t mind. It’s not a news show. I have participated in the protests and don’t think ill of you. Good to do some soul searching but no reason to beat yourself up. Thanks for offering me a window into your lives.
-
AnnililoAlohaI‘ve listened to Women’s Hour for decades and am slightly older than Jane but am totally on the same page and often laugh out loud all the way from the middle if the Pacific. It is great to share this very female view of the world, no holds barred and thankfully without annoying superficial politeness. It’s refreshing and joyful and like having a chat with ‘old’ friends! Rock on! Sam
-
Treasure IslanderLol whilst gardeningI’ll be in my front yard and gardening , trimming bushes, watering the plants and I’d have a case of the giggles !!! my neighbors and passerby must think I’m nuts.. thank you Fi and Jane can’t wait to comeback to the U.K

nzgrammyThe words thank you are not enough..,I am a NZer living with my NiVan husband on a remote island in Vanuatu South Pacific. No running water or electricity. There are many challenges with village life in this idyllic part of the world. In 2019 we had a young couple from UK visit us to learn about the culture and to help us with daily routines. They introduced me to ‘Fortunately’ and my life has never been the same since!!! I love love love your stories, banter, mindless chit chat and oh so interesting guests. They have been great resources for me in so many different ways. You make me laugh out loud. Such holistic medicine. My hope is that you and your family receive 100 times more, in return, for joy you are bringing to others. Margaret.

LynzwurldLaugh out loud funnyI listen while working out or cooking. Just not during Pilates. Fi and Jane are a wonder and I’d love to meet them in the piazza. Life goal next time I’m in London. Chat on! It is we who are fortunate.
-
mrh usaBe warned!Laughing out loud is a regular side affect of listening to Fi and Jane! So you may well be deemed crazy depending on where you are listening! Thank you - it brightens up my day or the middle of the night when I can’t sleep! Carry on ladies - it’s brilliant!
-
keri_kettleAlways entertainingI love listening to this show and would happily listen to these two women chatting for hours. I’m American and almost never know who the guests are but Fi and Jane are so engaging, it never matters. If you enjoy listening to intelligent, witty women then this is the show for you. If you don’t, well most podcasts are already made for you, so let the rest of us have this one.
-
TrustyVSFortunately? FinallyMy best friends asked me why I don’t call them anymore. It’s because I’m in listening to Fi and Jane, my new best friends. It’s pretty one sided but it’s working for me
-
JubaLeighOne of my favouritesI have been listening to Jane Garvey on Women's Hour for over a decade and was delighted to find she had a podcast where more of her personality comes through. I've been listening to Fortunately for over a year and it's so delightful. Fi and Jane have the best repartee. As an American I don't always know who their guests are, but they are usally quite interesting as well. I highly recommend this podcast and wish that Radio 4 would commission more podcasts presented by women.
-
still liferOld straight Seatle married guy loves showI love this show and I don't know why. I'm a 77-year-old in Seattle that gets a lot of pleasure from listening to two women from the U.K. chatting. It's really fun. thank you Fi and Jane
-
clairethelabradorLaughing out loud in CaliforniaLiving in California for the moment ( turned 50 this year) missing friends and family and British sense of humor, listening to Fi and Jane makes me feel sane; (women here are so earnest and serious). The podcast is an escape and always has me laughing out loud.
-
NorahnameLove these two!Hope I grow up with as much good humor and tendency for frankness as these two.
-
NotAnIdiot23An Absolute FavoriteWitty banter and always a opportunity to learn something, this podcast is a favorite and I am very pleased when a new episode appears.
-
Miss KarizzSupremely delightful!Darling podcast for when you want to listen to funny, kind and positive conversation, with a variety of interesting guests.
-
corvus_fliesYou two are amazing...I just want to thank you for making this old, Yank lady belly laugh. Man, you’re good. ;)
-
Chris in Newburyport, MAFuture episodesNow you’ve moved to BBC Sounds this is a problem for US listeners, as there are “rights” reason we can’t use the App. I hate to loose the weekly fix. Please can you raise the issue with the owners of BBC Sounds.
-
vermartownA 21st Century ShowChristianne Amanpour introduced me to you. You’re a gift to a 60+y/o woman, hanging onto her sanity in 2018!
-
Kapp46FabulousI was so happy to see that Fi and Jane are back after their summer break. Love listening to them chat. I listen from the US so the episodes are posted on Friday. Might make me sound a little sad but a new Fortunately episode is one of the highlights of my week. Jane Garvey is a fantastic broadcaster on Women’s Hour and it’s great to hear her cut a little loose on Fortunately.
-
Glen ZWitty, Smart, HilariousI came across Fortunately with Fi and Jane by accident. One podcast in and I’m hooked. I’ve been binge listening to all of the previous podcasts. Fi and Jane, you can count me as your 5th heterosexual male listener.
-

GigiTweetFabulous-ListenI survive my dreadful job listening to BBC podcasts-Fi and Jane interview some interesting people and I love their humour.
-
JimmyTrFor some reason I love this gemEven as a Yank, I love listening in on Fi and Jane sharing life and laughs. A delight.
-
Sandra.teaSo funny!I laugh along with them! Very funny!
-
kellydnaFortunately, this podcast is a hoot!I enjoyed series 1 with program clips and now series 2 with guests! I've been a fan of Jane's since her days at 5 Live with Peter Allen and am loving the train-of-thought conversations between her and Fi, who is the perfect foil. That this all happens out in the wild of the BBC "pizza" makes it all the more engaging. Nothing is off-limits for Fi, Jane, and guests!
-
YkhfryovzaehjlSo goodLOVE this pod. My favourite episodes tend to be when when they have women guests (Grace Dent was amazing) and even when they don’t have guests at all. Though the Jon Snow ep was pretty special
-
MrsBSmashingI want to be in their gangJane and Fi are brilliant, witty, intelligent broadcasters and I want to be in their gang. I’ve honestly had to stop what I was doing as they made me laugh so much - one instance was Jane (I think) talking about a raisin in her bra. Another was a story about Jane (again, Fi is hilarious too) and a terrible family Christmas. There’s serious stuff too. I love the conversations, the recommendations of programmes other than Radio 4 and for me, now living in Chicago, the unique British humour. Have listened to them both for years. They rock!
-
JulesfbFinally FortunatelyAs a regular Woman's Hour podcast listener I heard Jane briefly mention a podcast she was doing with Fi Glover and gave it a try yesterday. . I have now binge listened to all available episodes and highly reccommend it, especially to women of a certain age ( I'm the same age as Jane and can so relate to much of what she's going through ). Along with great reccommendations their banter is funny, honest and extremely entertaining. The birthday card story had me laughing outloud, (Episode 14 series 1 ) and it's just fun getting a bit of insight and behind the scenes workings of the BBC. Fi and Jane, thank you for this, a breath of fresh air and nice contrast to all the news and politics.

Avery ~A Fun OneBeen listening to podcasts since they were invented -- now this is the one I look forward to more than any others. Always upbeat and interesting. And best of all, being British, no ads!
