Armed with culinary prowess earned from over 20 years as food professionals and practical, non-judgmental advice shaped in the parenting trenches, co-hosts Stacie and Meghan make life as the family cook easier. Or at least funnier.

I want to love this podcast. I love the concept. But after several episodes I cannot get past the valley girl voice of one of the hosts and it just gets more exaggerated as each episode progresses. I felt like I was in Clueless. So unless you can deal with a 2024 valley girl saying “like” 75 times in 30 minutes, just pass.

    My favorite cooking podcast!
I’m admittedly a very mid home cook (I aspire to be better), but I LOVE listening to people talk about food, cooking techniques, dinner ideas etc. This podcast has made my heart soo happy. I feel like Meghan and Stacey are my cooking besties. I listen while I drive, do laundry, cook, do dishes, on walks…it’s always entertaining. I can count on learning something new or walking away with a great idea to implement in my own kitchen. They are knowledgeable, inspiring, and very approachable. THIS is your new favorite cooking podcast. And PS - SUBSCRIBE. The bonus episodes are 👩‍🍳 😘

    Climate change and carbon footprint
Talking about your three international trips in a year because your “family is committed to travel” while eating beef every week is alarming. While also talking about where you will live long term as sea level rises. This is why we’re screwed.

    Always helpful
I love listening to DIJFY because I gain at least one take-away per episode that I can incorporate into my kitchen that week! It’s also great to not feel alone when trying to feed 4 active kids day in and day out. Thanks for all of the encouragement ladies!

    Kitchen Chit Chat Gold
I love this podcast, they make you feel like your sitting at the kitchen counter with 2 old friends chatting about delicious foods and all things kitchen. As a mom it’s so helpful to hear what other peoples kids are eating Nd how other moms cook to accommodate it! 10/10 would recommend!

    So good!
I love podcasts and this is definitely one of my favorites! I have gotten so many great ideas and thoughts from listening. Even though they are professionals with cooking backgrounds/knowledge Stacie and Meghan feel like they are my friends just talking to me. They are funny and smart! All of their guests bring something helpful and interesting. But I think my favorite episodes are just the two of them having a conversation. These two are a great pair! It’s a perfect podcast! 5/5 stars

    Great show
Thanks so much for the recent episode on non-diet approaches to PCOS. I am on this same journey! I took Metformin to have both my kids, and now in my 40’s am navigating everything you discussed in the episode. I feel so seen!!

    Great podcast
I look forward to listening every week! Especially to What We are Cooking & Eating Now episodes. I’ve gotten so many meal ideas. Keep the great content coming!

    So relatable and real!
Stacie and Meghan are the best. They are not afraid to talk about the frustrations and the joys of feeding yourself and your family! Not too long ago, they talked about making a meal that you want .. that your family might not - what a revelation! I don’t mind bending to my picky family’s needs, but once in a while, I make something just for me and they eat it, or they don’t. And life goes on. :)

    Disappointed
Disappointed to see this “parenting” podcast supporting far left causes.

    LOVE this podcast!
This is my must listen podcast every week. Moms (and dads) should all listen- especially if you are in a rut in the kitchen. Lots of suggestions and ideas to try and grace to give yourself a break. Also, their cookbook recommendations are spot on!

    What a delight!
Fun lighthearted conversation about food, cooking, and life. A great resource for getting out of the food prep rut and a lot of tips about cool new food products without all the stuffiness of a “foodie” podcast. So glad I stumbled on this one!

    Useful and entertaining
After being in a cooking rut for a very long time, this podcast’s tips for an easy approach to meals has me making new meals.

Makes being the home chef fun!
I cringe every time I’m asked “what’s for dinner tonight?” by EVERY member of my family. But I found this podcast and it makes it slightly more bearable. I love the interesting conversations they have with guests and all the tops and tricks they bring to the table.

    Please no more Zoe potter
Would love this podcast and give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the Zoe Potter episode. Please stop using her as an example of “anti-diet” influencers.

    Fun & Inspiring
I really enjoy this podcast. These ladies are fun and have so many good suggestions, some for stepping it up and others that are super practical and easy. Between this and Pinterest, I’m always inspired and enjoy planning for food, even if I don’t follow through all the time. Love how they balance passion for food & cooking with real life timelines and pressures.

    The Best.
The best. Never miss it. Listen. You won't regret it.
  • happy hour fan!!
    Great!
Wonderful podcast. My only piece of advice—in the “What we’re Cooking and Eating” episodes, the hosts always seem stressed to keep it short and mention that often. As a listener, I think longer is totally okay! Please don’t feel like you have to keep it to 15 minutes -we will listen!

    This Helps My Life
I love this podcast because there are so many helpful suggestions about how to make life easier when trying to feed my household. Of all the recipe searching I have done, all the meal prepping articles I have read, nothing has provided as much practical advice as this podcast. Meal shortcuts, freezer strategies, no-cook meals … they speak my language!
  • inventedcharm
    Encouraging and accessible
I love all the different topics around feeding a family. I’ve recommended and talked about this pod with friends. I feel encouraged knowing that even food professionals feel the slump and tedium of keeping their families fed and happy at the table.

    So many great ideas
Love these ladies and this podcast! As a mom of an 11 month old, I love learning about ideas and tips and tricks as my baby gets older. I also love all of their family meal tips because quick & easy meals are important for new moms ;). Highly recommend!

    The newest episode (corn dogs)
By far my favorite episode from them. It helps so much to know my teenage boy is not the only one eating entire boxes of Oreos in the middle of the night. It helps so much to hear other kids aren't eating dinner. It helps so much to not be alone. I appreciate this episode so much. The whole "feed myself healthy and feed my kids butter noodles", this is my LIFE. One meal for me. Another for them. Because I get SICK of nobody liking ANYTHING. Truth be told I am BURNED out. I have given up on exposure and trying to make healthy meals and I just make what they eat. This is inspiring me to call it a season and start planning for the summer.

    Helpful content for parents
I have found several great ideas through this podcast and I appreciate the effort the hosts put into the podcast. One criticism - too many instances of the hosts saying ‘yaaaassss.’ It’s grating and I end up not listening to as many episodes I would otherwise.
  • KCOinBrooklyn
    Really enjoy this show
Even when a subject doesn’t immediately fit my experience, the hosts are so engaged and fun with each other that I learn something. I appreciate their candor about how parenting has challenges, but there’s a natural respect and love for their kids throughout the discussion.
  • Baker1967
    Waste of my time
What a waste of 15 minutes of my life that I can’t get back. Explain what the chopped cheese is before you spend 10 minutes talking and cackling about it. Plus non-Ny’ers don’t who the h@!& these chains and people are. .
  • Ktrene
Fun content and I always take something away
I will be 100% honest it took me acouple of episodes to really enjoy didn’t I just feed you (sorry Stacy and Meghan love you now) but for some reason I wasn’t sold right off, so if you are new, listen to a couple before making your decision. But now I take something away from almost every episode whether it is a gadget, meal prep recommendation, recipe idea, life skill or just a laugh, I truly enjoy each episode!

Two moms with their crap together!
I’m still in the chicken nuggets little kid phase and have about 5 meals that I make that my kids will eat. I enjoy cooking sometimes and look forward to the day when my kids will try new things…or even just chicken not in nugget form. Stacy and Meghan are easy to listen to even when many things they say are over my head being the amateur cook that I am! I like the episodes about helping kids cook for themselves ( won’t that be nice?!) or easy snack ideas

The best sous chefs in town!
I love this podcast. Stacie and Meghan are honest and truly dedicated to educating their audience. They make cooking a little easier and much more fun. This home chef feels like she gets to cook with her friends in her kitchen at least once a week. Thank you for making my Mondays less mundane!!!! Cheers, Chefs!

Wish I was this cool IRL
Each week I tune in for the hilarious duo who help me realize that feeding my family is not mission impossible. Also the laughter, I catch myself laughing alongside the hosts each week and I’m so thankful.

Wish I would have found this podcast years ago!
This podcast addresses every question I have had over the last 14 years of being a mom! How do I easily serve healthy meals and integrate it into my life… and make it fun? Meghan and Stacie make it fun! I’ve gone back to the first episode and binge several in a row until the next new episode is published. Thank you!

    No kids, still relatable
I don’t have any kids but I still find this podcast super relatable! This show is so funny and inspires me to cook something new or reminds me of recipes I’ve forgotten!

    No kids necessary!
I don’t have children and this podcast is still super helpful to me. There are a ton of tips and tricks for cooking and meal planning that are useful for everyone.

    Really Enjoy
Writing this mid 2021, I know we are all tired of being in the kitchen. I like to pop in my ear buds and listen while I’m working in the kitchen - cooking or cleaning. Gives me the motivation to get through another meal or get online to check out an ingredient/new recipe.

Exactly the conversation I was looking for!
It Recently dawned on me that I have to feed my people 21 meals plus snacks a week. What was I thinking? I was feeling super overwhelmed. Love that others are having the same feelings. And now I have a resource! Edited 6/2021 - feel like S + M are my food friends.

    Like being with friends
I absolutely love this podcast. Not only do I love the cooking tips and inspiration, but I love Stacie and Meghan. Listening to the podcast feels like hanging out with friends. I came for the food and stayed for Stacie and Meghan (but like, also for the food).

    Current go-to
I’ve hesitated to review because I’m not in the target audience (I’m a person who moved out on my own a few years ago and don’t yet have kids). However, the tips for efficiency/dinner shortcuts/meal prep have been really helpful especially in getting ready for nights that I have to work late. The dynamic between the hosts is fun as well! Thanks so much for the helpful and enjoyable resource :)

The podcast I look forward to
I am a long time listener and this is still the podcast I look forward to most, week after week. They provide practical tips for feeding families with tons of fun and humor, but zero judgement. I love that Stacie and Meghan have been lifting up voices, content and products from people of color long before it was a nationwide movement. They really bring a little bit of everything to their show! Pro tip: Their listeners Facebook group is also a great supplement to the podcast (and the only reason I go on Facebook anymore)!

Best thing to listen to while in the kitchen
This past year has made me think more about what to feed my family of 5 since everyone is home a lot more. This podcast is helpful. And also the hosts are delightful and entertaining. Each episode is full of helpful ideas and I love hearing how they are thinking through what they give their kids. Their views on food feel very healthy and normal and aren’t full of food rules or extremes or guilt.
  • Spressy
Some good ideas, some not so uplifting
Initially I liked this podcast a lot, because they commiserate about the frustrations and challenges of feeding your family constantly while offering up lots of new ideas. But as time has gone on, I’ve become more selective about which episodes I bother listening to. Perhaps I’m too sensitive to mom-shaming. One of the hosts is very down to earth and lives in the real world while the other has spent a little too much time in the big city for my reality. She will mention things like how when her kids were little, everything had to be organic but now that they are older she isn’t as picky. And then the other host always has to step in a remind people that if they can’t do that or don’t agree with her, that’s ok. I feel like the one host always has to check the pretentiousness of the other.
