    Awesome
They fulfilled their saying at the start of every episode. It helped me get some of my life back. Super convenient, easy to follow, things you need without nitpicky useless details. I send this to every M3 I meet.

    Great
Great for when you want to go for a walk or are commuting. Only complaint is the somewhat monotone delivery but otherwise very useful!

Quality board prep that helps us get more of our lives back!
I am forever grateful to Dr. O’Connell for taking the time to make this FREE podcast! Thanks to his efforts, I’ve been able to study on the go and get back more time for my life, by listening on long drives between my clinical sites, during cardio workouts, while doing laundry, etc. After I found out about this gem of a podcast, my long-term retention of important material improved (evidenced by an increase in my shelf exam scores)! Highly recommend!

Audio presentation of a leading step study resource
Listening to Dr. O’Connell read the book while doing chores or exercise was an ideal accompaniment to reading the text during my Step 2 dedicated study time. I listened to the top 100 tips multiple times and I hope I can recall his voice often throughout my exam.

    WE NEED MORE !!

    Great for long car rides!
As someone who is often driving between 40mins to 3hrs to 8hrs, this is by far the best podcast/lecture series. The question and answer format of the book lends so well for driving especially, and Dr. O’Connell gives a short pause after each question which gives you the quick opportunity to answer. Definitely helpful in my prepping for step 2!

This is fantastic for on-the-go Step 2/3 review
This FREE podcast is proof of Dr. O'Connell's dedication to medical student learning. It follows the book quite nicely, so use both in conjunction with each other for those times that you're not hitting First Aid, Pathoma, Sketchy, B&B, or Firecracker hard. Obviously, you don't want too many resources, but this is excellent stuff in audio format that is free. Put it on when you're exercising, commuting/driving, cooking/cleaning, or anytime you need a break from other forms of studying. Start it early, you'll be happy that you did.

    Good companion to the book
This audio version helped me to read the book more efficiently and in the less amount of time. I also learned correct pronunciation for some of the medial terms. I liked the work and think publisher should promote other projects like this.

    Great way to study
As a medical student who spends a good amount of time driving or running, I often wonder if I can make that time more productive. Dr. O’Connell has created a wonderful resource here, and it stays true to the book that the narration comes from. I already had the book for clerkships and step 2 studying, but I love being able to access the content in another form. Leading each topic with a question really helps the listening gain context, which keeps the content easy to digest while on the move. The sections are also broken down clearly into specialties and organ systems, which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. I would definitely recommend this podcast to anyone who is trying to go for a run without falling behind or spends a little more time driving than they would like.

Be sufficiently productive during free time
Dr. O’Connell thank you so much for this podcast and all your hard work. Like you said in the intro, adding explanations and other subjectivity into the literature would take away from the podcast main purpose. All of us in the medical field know for a fact that studying medicine while driving or while doing cardio is not the way to go. But For example a podcast like USMLE Secrets by Dr. O’Connell who graciously reads over his literature for us, especially if someone like me, is using the book to study and digest the medical literature through his USMLE book as well, would be immensely profiting from the podcast because it serves as a review to the material during our breaks or anytime we are not in the library stuck to our computer screen and/or our books. I did something similar using Osmosis while preparing for my step 1 exam and the podcast was the best thing ever because I was actually looking forward to stop and go for a run or go and eat somewhere different away from my usual study environment. Thank you Dr. O’Connell and GOD bless!

Free audiobook of Step 2 gold!
Dr O’Connell, I own a copy of your book and I love it, so when I stumbled upon this free audio version I had to jump on it! Thank you very much for this...your work is helping medical students all across the country.

    Thank you so much!
You didn’t have to do this, but you did it anyways! I greatly appreciate your sincere efforts in helping us all to learn this material is a more digestible and engaging manner.

    Good idea-TERRIBLE execution
While I do appreciate the attempt to improve upon similar podcasts by cutting out the nonsense and filler, this is way too grating on the ears. It’s like he’s purposely trying to sound monotonous. And condensed facts would be nice if there was at least a bit of analysis/comparisons to previous topics sprinkled out here and there.

    Love it
    Really helpful podcast. Thank you!!

Awesome podcast, please do a step 3 version!
Love the podcast, it’s great for absorbing information and making the most of non-dedicated study time. I am really hoping that a step 3 version is in the works for the future! That would be amazing for interns who have very little free time to devote to studying.
