Spike 1954Very professionalI’m always happy to have a 2020 to listen to and most of them pass through one year and go out the other. That’s what happens when you listen to too much true crime. Many of the cases are repetitive but the series on Karen Silkwood that I just finished today was fabulous. Thank you folks for touching on a case from my past that’s always been of interest to me and you did such a great job! Five stars two thumbs up and consider me a follower for life.

pammie8Jon BenetI’ll never believe the mom, dad, brother didn’t have something to do wth her death.
-
PerilusMusic yukAgree the music is over done Batman drama.
-
Josie F.So repetitiveThe producers take 15 minutes of content and stretch it out into 90 minutes by repeating the same thing over and over and over. It’s insulting to the listeners’ intelligence.

Mickey J CliffordI don’t like the newsBad news

George34j9Too much background noiseThe stories are great but the background noise is so distracting and frustrating. Hard to listen to. Can’t understand why it would be produced this way. I wrote this comment months ago and came back to experience the same thing and see similar frustrations from other listeners. I am so curious why there is such an unwillingness to change it?

iPeppzLongtime favoriteThis is the 20/20 I know and love. Same great show from TV but in podcast format. Generally, I use these episodes as learning experiences to teach me what not to do…. Be specially aware, don’t take unnecessary risks driving to remote places without people knowing where you are, etc. That said - you can’t convict someone based on them deleting calls and texts because I have ALWAYS done that. I keep ZERO call logs and only texts to/from people I care about.

LP2009LOVE THIS PODCAST AND THEIR YOUTUBE CHANNEL.Hmmm…I am really confused by the ridiculous negative and petty comments by other listeners. The sound? I found it perfect for the background of the story. The narrator? Great narration. The voices are articulate and NOT grating and annoying like some podcasts can be ! The true stories/investigation? Thorough. Poignant. Interesting and informative. And I have ADHD and need stories to be precise , compartmentalized, easy for mental digesting. And this podcast and their stories do just that. Having music in the background is like showing the ambience not telling. In other words, flowery music on a criminal story won’t cut it. Keep up this great podcast 20/20. You obviously know what you’re doing because you’ve been serving our community with the best journalism for years. 👌🏻😊👏🏻

TN ChristieFor the recordI’m not saying she did or didn’t but on the recent Fire and Ice episode I just want to say that I’m OCD and that includes cleaning up my phone. There is an age of ppl that grew up before cells and computers and still think that too many messages, calls, apps and etc will bog down our phone. I’m notorious for deleting almost all history logs. My husband makes fun of me for my fear of apps. I’m trying to get better and realize I don’t have to clean up the phone so much but I can say there are some of us that do that because I do and I have nothing at all to hide.

ewhatsupwithyaThe background music is weirdLove this pod cast (I believe it’s just the audio from the tv eps), but the music/songs they use is really cringe. It’s often tone def and goes on for way to long.

BrandilBrownPuzzling murder…He can manipulate people because he’s white???.. really??!! I think it was more of him being a psychopath!!

TildaJeanHmmmDialog just drags while loud and overly dramatic music imposes itself in the foreground. I’m not bothering to continue.

Pineapple458Sloppy made for tv podcasrAs interesting as the crime stories themselves can be, you manage to destroy them with the constant sound effects..Don’t you know just how annoying these sound effects and other emotive interruptions are? FYI, I am NOT watching tv, I am listening to a podcast. While there are many bad podcasts, for other reasons, this is yours. It is probably due to the fact that you don’t want to hire and pay humans to remake these narratives as worthwhile podcasts.

NorthSeaNYInside the Midnight Order-I listened to the beginning of Inside the midnight order- episode one, and it was unbearable to listen to. Murder should never be discussed in a manner using the “up speak” and vocal fry favored by bored and vapid teenagers. Discussing the murders of fellow human beings is serious business. I was cringing listening to this.

SparkcadCan the Previews be removed!I know the pod casts are straight from the TV show and the previews are played prior to commercials but for pod casts, it does not make sense to hear the preview since the commercials on pod cast are very short and in some cases the story continues right after the preview which does not make any sense and is confusing the story. And I agree with other comments about the background musics. This is a true crime story and not some fictional story to entertain people for enjoyment. Should really cut back on the background music so that we can hear the real people talking about their story. The sound effects are so distracting!

SouljoiFantasticRiveting Stories. Love it. Thank you.

Fuller1111No editing for Podcast listenersI agree with other reviews, about the clear sound of text messages being received but no narration for the podcast. There is no change from the TV broadcast to the podcast for the non verbal communication thats done for TV. Some is understandable but leaving out an entire text conversation that take up 2 mins in a pod feels neglectful.
-
Grand CircleTo LacyladeanSome episodes are called “From the Vault”. Which means older episodes are reruns.
-
MelidawnaLazy editingIt’s obvious you don’t put any effort into modifying these stories for podcasts. I’m listening to the familiar sound of text messages popping onto a screen, but 2020 didn’t bother to narrate them for listeners. And 100% agreement on all the comments about stale, repeated content.
-
Inday_joyI was going toI was going to listen to this podcast but saw the name “David Muir” so I decided not to. Nope!
-
LacyladeanMusic over the top and old casesMusic is waaayy overboard. Also advertise these cases as new but many have been covered multiple times.
-
Matt_B_WSomeone’s finally covering the Sherri Rasmussen case!Wait, sorry, this is the millionth podcast about it. Be sure to subscribe for cutting edge, fresh content like this!

Lincoln fan65No journalistic integrityDavid Muir ruined any positive thoughts I had for this network, the podcasts and the shows. No longer a listener or viewer.

fjbabcdefu! The girl who looked like meI genuinely like 2020 and most of the podcast you do but the race baiting podcasts are getting ridiculous at this point. In this episode, they’re talking about a girl who was brutally murdered and she deserved justice but no one reported her missing for a length of time and they were mad because Laci Peterson and Lori hacking was receiving national news. Both of those were pregnant women who went missing so it was an emergency that they be found, and the only thing that they pointed out in the episode was that they were white women. Tamika had she been reported missing before her dog was almost dead. They probably would’ve been a rush to find her. Her car was gone. It look like she went on a trip and they had no idea where she was intentionally making it seem like they didn’t care about black woman and I don’t think that was the case at all. All of these women were killed by violent men. That’s the issue here. Not race. Stop race bating people.
-
mind the gap 2305David MuirI am disappointed in how David Muir conducted himself during Presidential debate. He lost credibility as an unbiased journalist. Now I question what his motives are on reporting true crime. Are you going to ignore stories that make certain people/policies look bad?
-
Deej0616Repeat storiesI would rather have less episodes posted than the same ones over and over again. It’s the same dateline and 20/20 episodes we’ve heard before and you just keep reposting them. The car on the bridge comes up to often. Also dateline and 20/20 post the same episodes back to back.
-
mejwilliamsNeeds better editingI love a good true crime story, but you can’t just take a tv episode, play the audio and call it a podcast. The length of transitional music in these stories may add to the drama when paired with all the visuals on tv but for audio it is PAINFUL. For a powerhouse brand like 20/20, many of these episodes feel sloppy. It feels like some simple edits could clean up the transitions and make it much more enjoyable to listen to.
-
Mom to sandwich loversStop with the sound effects!Such good stories but omg the sound effects are like a kid in the 90s with a brand new soundboard. Stopppppp the horrible musical effects!
-
bdog8346Unable to read on the podcastIf you could have someone actually read the texts instead of the noise that they were sent and received. That would make for a more understandable podcast.
-
jm17230$$$Fake newsDavid Muir=fake news that debate was a joke you embarrassed. It even ruined 20/20 for me
-
equitonicEnjoyable but…Enjoy listening to this podcast all the time. But the last episode on the Crumbly parents - you just hear text tones being sent/received but have no idea what they say! At least have the decency to add some audio reading aloud what they say. Other episodes have has missing pieces because in the tv episode they are showing a picture or something that isn't audio. But the texts where such a huge part of the case and gave context. Otherwise great listening for long drives.
-
Frustrated at the changesNot formatted for a podcastWhen you say “then texts were sent” and on the podcast all we can hear is the Apple text sending tone over and over, we lose context. So much of the “Sins of our parents” episode is lost to that poor oversight.
-
Pinhead12345678910Sins of the ProducersDoes anyone bother to listen to these shows before they are turned into a Podcast? In “Sins of the Parents”, there were multiple instances of text messaging, that obviously while watching the show you can read, but when listening all that is heard are multiple “swooshes”. Someone needs to read out loud what the texts are!!! Very important dialogue is missing, that made the show unlistenable. Don’t waste your time on this one!
-
bdak21No more!Bye ABC. We all know who owns you and your peoples!!
-
bachh55No more DavidCannot trust a disgraceful Journalist that is so unprofessional.
-
Jaci oh ohWere ABC followersAfter the debate, we no longer watch ABC news with David Muir or anything else he or ABC is associated with. What a one sided debacle and terrible journalism if you call it that….. I think not****
-
ramjam2011Missing too many episodesI watch 20/20, and listen to this podcast occasionally. The podcast has vault episodes and special series, some of which are also available on Hulu. However, I noticed the podcast episodes are being removed. They only go back about two months. There isn’t much to listen to if you watch the TV show(s).
-
pantomime21Why boycott ABC???Why boycott ABC over the debate? He was fact checked bc of his constant embellishments. May I add, she did not lie. NOBODY has an abortion after a baby is born!!! If that was the case, they would call it murder. Miscarriages ARE called spontaneous abortions in the medical field. Good grief people, get your heads out of the clouds. He NEVER addressed the women. Kamala or Lindsay, the moderator. Only to “David” Muir by first name only. Stick those bias comments where the sun doesn’t shine. (In the cloud your heads been)

Y.t.09870987Good content but Lousy editingThis show is well researched and the topics/cases even if not new to the true crime community is well researched but the awfulness of the editing trying to just copied it from tv to a podcast is just bad, the repetitive parts that works well to let people know what is coming up in a tv programme doesn’t work in the podcast setting , please hire some editors with podcast experience to rework some things also keep volume at an even level Leave a few seconds if a commercial will be inserted but only if you have commercials otherwise do not , Hire people form the podcast world to start editing and please delete the repetitive parts will make a huge difference. Edit : The interview with Ashley Benefited is so bias , she is definitely a person with borderline personality disorder and is guilty, why the interview makes it appear as she didn’t know this guy was a widow, she lying about being poisoned ( proven to be a lie) Ashley was the one with the idea of a ballet company and there is zero questions about it, also both Doug and Ashley are/ were incredibly flawed individuals, she a histrionic/ borderline disorder and he a recently widow that prey in a young woman , this not the first time a new mom goes into a murderous phase when they get obsessed with their child … believing they are the only ones who can take care of their child. ( e.g2: 2 veterinarians , a physician,a psychiatrist ,etc) Both were Trumpers which add another layer of crazy , guns and stupidity.

Remabo706Hard PassIf you like hearing the same podcasts over and over and over, this is the podcast for you. If you like one sided reporting, this is the podcast for you. It is not the podcast for me and I am unfollowing.

pelletmDavid MuirI will never watch or support ABC again after what you tied to do to Trump.
