Sorta Awesome has been my favorite podcast for years! I can’t believe I haven’t written a review until now. It’s supportive, honest, funny, sometimes light and sometimes profound. If you’re a woman looking for something to better your life, this show is it!!

It feels like Meg and the other hosts are my IRL friends and I’m listening to them talk. The sorta awesome community on socials is also the best, smartest and kindest place to be on the internet.

You're taking a break from true crime podcasts. It's sad to make some people's family and worst tragedies as entertainment. I suggest you listen to the comedy, serial podcast "Community News with Pau and Sasha". It's about life and funny things that go on in suburban America raising kids and all the funny stuff that goes on at schools and in communities. Part of the fun is trying to decipher which story lines are true or fiction. The co-hosts have amazing chemistry and shared an office in NYC 25 years ago producing a TV show for Warmer Brothers. Give them a try while you're looking for new podcasts. Over 260 original episodes and they are really funny, fun, and relatable. It's my favorite. I am listening to your "pandemic broke me episode now". Hope you like it and also recommend to your listeners.

This podcast has VIP status in my feed! I’ve been listening for years and look forward to every Friday when new episodes drop. A great mix of fun and serious content that is always relatable.

I finally unsubscribed today. After almost 5 years of listening, I just could not take it anymore. The show has been leaning to the Liberal side for at least 2 years. While I can certainly listen to other points of view, I can no longer purposefully subject myself to comments about “the patriarchy”, “white men”, “white privilege”, “feminism”, “putting Elon Musk in his place”, and sly remarks that seem to denigrate traditional Christianity. All this from a show that is really not supposed to be political, and accepting of All Women and All Points of View. I think they are beginning to alienate large swathes of their audience. I stopped listening to “The Popcast” and “What Should I Read Next” for some of the same reasons over a year ago. This was my last holdout, and it makes me sad. By trying so hard to be “inclusive “, the show has succeeded in being “exclusive” to many of its listeners.

This is such an awesome podcast! I can't wait for the next one. I love finding myself laughing along with the other ladies!!

I have listened to SA since the “old theme song” days and Laura Tremaine, and always appreciate the conversations. I am so grateful for Julie’s voice and to have a strong Jewish woman in the mix amidst the wonderful Christian voices—Catholic, Mennonite, and so on. I think she could do even more to open the perspectives and enrich the content you offer by openly sharing about Jewish holidays and lifecycle.

I used to LOVE, LOVE this podcast. I joined the FB Group, and they kicked me out because I wasn’t on board with their Liberal narrative. I continued to listen, but it got to be so Woke. So sad. Sorry Meg. I’m sure you won’t miss the Conservatives, but I miss what you used to produce for everyone.

I’ve been listening to this podcast for about a year and I love it. When I hit play, I feel like I’m sitting down with my good friends to have a conversation. I have loved the segments on menopause, they are so true! These ladies are hilarious! Would you rather 4 or 400 was great! If you’re looking for a podcast that is positive, encouraging and downright funny, this is the one!

I love the variety of topics that are covered! There’s always an interesting and fun podcast episode to listen to. The whole Sorta Awesome groups of ladies are absolutely LOVELY!

Disappointed that the host claims to be catholic but doesn’t espouse the church’s teachings on the sanctity of marriage.

First time commenter, member of Patreon… so interested in todays topic, NOT interested in listening to Mindy. Mindy was removed from regular hosting on Currently Reading after so many listeners complained about her voice. It is simply not pleasant to listen to. I still can’t listen to any episodes of CR she is on. Adding her to SA is a mistake. Love the Friday episodes with Kelly Rebekah and Emily. Kyle is also a no go for me; too much mansplaining.

The Friday episodes used to be something I looked forward to now they are on topics at are not interesting at all. The episodes with Kyle are a real struggle. He seems to interrupt Meg and get her off track more and more. I’m sad to leave but there is more relevant content out there.

These ladies feel like friends! I recommend starting with the Friday podcast if you’re looking for a podcast that feels like sitting down with friends over a great bottle of wine! I just became a Patreon supporter because I can’t get enough! The bookish episode from last Friday is one of my favorites to date!!

I love the podcast. I rarely listen to the Monday show because I can’t handle the constant interruptions but I love the Friday episodes and any bonus episodes the super stars get. The ladies are amazing!

I used to adore Meg and this show… until Kyle started cohosting. It’s extremely uncomfortable to listen to and instead of continuing to cringe, I’ve just had to start skipping all of those :(. The regular guests & cohosts are wonderful though!

Took off one star, probably should take off two. At first I enjoyed Kyle. Now, it just sounds like he’s bored being on the show and feels like he’s so funny - he’s not. Every time Meg starts trying to roll with something, he’s interrupting with a stupid comment. The past episodes where he did topics like clothes were great. These current episodes are painful to listen to. There isn’t a back and forth banter. It just sounds like Me struggling to sludge through a show with Kyle dragging her down.

I am long time listener, but cannot handle the episodes with Kyle. I like the content (watch, read, listen) but cannot stand how much he is interrupts and his attempt to be funny.

I was a regular listener before Kyle started. Please go back. Kyle may be a great husband but he is distracting and adds nothing good to the show. Not awesome at all.

Longtime listener of Sorta Awesome. Love the group of ladies who provide funny, thoughtful commentary and insights on a variety of topics. But, PLEASE….rethink the addition of Kyle (Meg’s husband) to the mix.

I have to agree with other reviewers. I’ve been listening to the podcast for about 4 years and enjoy Meg and her cohosts. Except Kyle. His constant interrupting and mansplaining and drawn out stories are a huge turn-off and his style does not mesh well with the podcast’s brand. With so many podcasts out in the world, there’s far too much competition to make a change like this and risk losing listeners and followers.

I enjoy the Friday podcasts, but skip the ones during the week. Too many other podcasts I want to listen to, than this one every day.

Meg and her rotating cast of amazing co-hosts talk about their awesome of the week, and then might talk about a certain theme or topic. It’s like a girlfriend chat show, but you feel like you’re right there, and you definitely do not feel left out. They are like the friends I wish I had during the pandemic! Shameless unsolicited plug- I love the extras and “overflow “ episodes in the Sorta Awesome Patreon.

Agree with other reviews. I’ve been a fan for many years but not interested in Kyle’s perspective. Please go back to other format.

Wish you could find a fiercely positive, diverse, strong group of women inhabiting the internet? Look no further for conversations ranging from the deep (Syrian war) to light (curly hair care), all brought with respect, humor and honesty. My favorites are the 10 Lists for the seasons. I can honestly say I look forward to listening to each episode-it brightens my week!

I love this show and EVERY cohost, Kyle included! It is a must listen, I hit play the moment an episode drops!

I’m a long time listener of the podcast and love that it always felt like a chat with my girlfriends. I can’t handle Kyle, and there are so many episodes in the feed now that I can’t even find the “normal” Sorta Awesome episodes. What in the world happened?

I have really enjoyed the Sorta Awesome podcast for a long time. I thought the dynamic between the host and the co-cost was fantastic and you could tell these women enjoyed and learned from each other. However with the shift to Kyle co-hosting I worry Sorta Awesome is not connecting with its target audience anymore. I think the shift was quite sudden in how many episodes feature Kyle so I think if the podcast wants to keep Kyle regularly I think a major reduction in the number of podcasts is needed so Kyle can work on his co-host skills and not come across like he’s trying too hard or trying to be the center of attention. I really hope the host listens to other reviews pointing out this issue as well.

I recently unsubscribed because I really cannot get on board with Kyle’s involvement in the Sorta Awesome brand as a whole. The community that Meg and the other cohosts had created was amazing and Kyle does not fit with the culture of the show. I got so frustrated with so many episodes featuring him, and am actually concerned with what data is driving this decision—because I cannot imagine that this is an overwhelmingly desired shift from the SA community. I would truly rather hear Meg’s solo opinion than have Kyle on the show.

I am a long time listener of this podcast. I love the ideas shared and the sense of friendship that exudes from the hosts. I do struggle with the episodes that Meg’s husband Kyle serves as co-host. The fun women’s vibe of the show isn’t present and the banter between him and her feels awkward. Every time I listen it I am reminded of going out with a newer friend and realizing that I don’t enjoy her spouse as much as I enjoy her! I HATE to write a negative review for a show that I have enjoyed for such a long time. Please reconsider going back to the previous format with the rotating female co-hosts!!!

It is hard to listen to Kyle. I have not been enjoying the podcast for the last several weeks. There are many other GREAT podcasts out there! I am unsubscribing now.

I totally am enjoying my Hot Topic pajamas and The Argument podcast. What shows how in line I am is: I was indulging before the podcast! 😁

This is a really sweet and uplifting podcast. I suggest you begin with the older episodes because 1. the in and out music was a lot better and 2. the content was a little more consistent. This is such a nice show to keep you company, and the creators are obviously such good friends that it's really fun to listen to. There's a little wokescolding that started to creep in a few years ago, but generally you can identify which episodes are going to be troublesome and just skip those.

I love this podcast. I discovered this podcast as a lonely SAHM who really yearned for community. Listening helped me feel connected and I love the fb group as well. Listening is fun and informative. It really is awesome, but they should change the name to definitely awesome.

I have been listening since episode 3, and I am HOOKED. This show ebbs and flows between serious and light-hearted conversation. The community is so helpful; I learn so much! I am a single woman in my late 20s, and there is so much here for women of all stages of life.

One of my favorite (of many) parts of this show is Meg’s laugh! It’s so genuine and infectious! Sierra Awesome is what ALL of us need right now!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Had to unsubscribe. Loud, obnoxious laughing after every statement. It hurts to listen. The content might be fine but I can’t get it.

My favorite podcast! I have learned so much from this podcast- from grocery pickup to about anxiety. I have listened to every episode. I love the girlfriend chat on every single topic you can think of.

I just want to say THANK YOU to Meg Tietz and the Sorta Awesome crew for 1) interviewing Krystle Cobran, and 2) re-airing during this crucial time. That interview so helpful to me, and addressed and validated a lot of my feeling and concerns around talking about race. It’s hard and scary for everyone, but it has to be done. Thank you, thank you. So glad I found your podcast and Facebook group because it always gives me what I’m looking for, whether it’s light-hearted and fun or meaningful and thought-provoking.
