    Will be missed
These girls need a new podcast home ASAP. It sounds like MLB is eliminating this podcast. : (

    Sarah and Mandy
You guys are my baseball friend role models! Thanks for being a podcast that talks about my favorite elements of baseball. To many more!

    It’s alright
I like it, good baseball insight

    Great content!
Love the two teams, but please improve the audio

Sarah Langs and Mandy Bell Fan
Love the content and now we get multiple perspectives with two sets of hosts. The data and facts they compile are relevant, sometimes just plain fun and always an impressive display of knowledge.

2 Podcast Feeds Would Be Great
It would be wonderful if the 2 different crews could have different RSS feeds so the listeners can pick which flavor of podcast they want to listen too.

    Best baseball podcast
I love Matt and Mike’s show specifically because it’s stat based and not as fluffy like baseball tonight. Sarah and Mandy’s show was harder to get into, but I’ve come to like it a lot with Sarah’s knowledge.
  • CrabChips
    Great baseball content
Sarah and Mandy are very knowledgeable about the sport and I very much enjoy hearing them talk about baseball. Love the podcast!

    Hard to listen to rn
This used to be my favorite baseball pod but it’s become a lot harder to listen to. I think it’s been getting steadily less compelling since rebranding from the Statcast Pod. It’s gotten less and less stats based and more and more the opinions of writers that are all Mets fans. The new duo of Sarah and Mandy is hard to listen to. I’ve given it a shot week after week and legitimately can’t get through a whole pod. I genuinely like Sarah Langs a lot. She’s a great twitter follow and I’ve enjoyed her guest starring on pods for years. But for some reason she seems super nervous on this pod. I’m sensitive to sounds like this but I think anyone would find it hard to listen to her gulping into the mic every 30 seconds. Mandy is the best writer for the Guardians. If you didn’t know that, don’t worry she’ll remind you 50 times an episode in her commentary on any topic in baseball even if it has absolutely nothing to do with the guardians. Mandy and Sarah might have a chance with their own separate pod with an actual producer to tell them these things but the way it’s being done now is painful to listen to.

    Miscasting
Langs is a great writer but her voice is proof enough that not everyone can be a broadcaster. I’ve tried every episode of the new podcast and just can’t make it through an entire episode with her.

Sarah & Mandy should learn from Mike & Matt
Mike’s & Matt’s style is great, Sarah & Mandy should try to copy them more instead of ooohing and ahhhing over how “fun” certain players are
  • thequotas
    Why the change?
I don’t really think the audience cares so much about what players tweet about. Also why add in a basically different show with Sarah and Mandy? Why change a good thing?

    Sarah Langs!!
The baseball world is a better place because of Sarah Langs!

    Good analysis, meh personalities
The good: Petriello and Meyers dig up interesting data that help explain and illustrate who’s performing well and who isn’t. In fact, there might not be any better sources out there. The meh: Petriello has the rare gift of being both self-deprecating and unbearably smug. Meyers definitely has a voice for print journalism. Listen to these guys, but if you want to get a more complete picture, listen also to people who’ve played the game or who at least spend time talking to players and managers. As the saying goes, statistics are great at predicting the past. There’s more to the game than numbers.

    Love it
My go to baseball podcast. All the latest news in a non biased point of view.

    “Just the facts, ma'am.”
That’s what you’ll get in this insightful and interesting podcast—just the facts. Mike and Matt do their research and are entertaining without being overbearing. They present advanced statistical data in an accessible manner. A must listen for any baseball fan who enjoys the “Moneyball” aspect of the game.
  • JScottRose
You need to listen to them
Mike and Matt know what they are talking about and they are very entertaining in a self-deprecating way. No ego here, just great analysis. This is a much better podcast than Baseball Tonight.

Please Fix the Volume - I beg you!
Content-wise, this might be my favorite show in the world of podcasts. I have more saved episodes of this show than any other in my library. But I’m certain you don’t listen to your own show because it has been years and the volume is still a mess. Usually I’ll listen on a 20-25 volume in my car, depending on if the windows are open. I have to listen to this show on a minimum 42 to hear them. Then the ads come and blow out my speakers. The other day I was using my AirPods and had the volume on max - then the ads came and I had to take them out. Just check out the ad break from the latest show (3.10.22) for an example.

    Ads
Having heard your Roman ad thousands of times over the course of this season, you will now be referred to as Mike “I lost my mojo” Petriello.

    Love the podcast
This is my go to podcast for getting up to speed on MLB. Highly recommend it especially for fans like me who usually only have time to watch the team I follow (Mets)

    Bunted
With-out the bunt, the stolen base, and the hit and run: baseball is vapid. What a concept: the on-field product? The freaking product? Not everything is a product. Ya’ll got some business illness on the brain. But wait, maybe you are right, right on the money! You have a diagnosis with this: it’s why baseball is dying amongst fans; it has been turned into a product, and nothing more. It is ageist to not like the Giants because the players are older. Thank You for being the voice of reason in understanding the concept of beyond a shadow of a doubt and instant replay reviews of calls. As the rule is written.....

    COVID Rebuttal 2
I love this podcast. It’s insightful and concise. Recently, someone left a one-star review because the hosts mentioned vaccines. What?! Regarding their vaccine talk on a mid-January 2021 episode, they spoke for around 2 minutes about how baseball wants to facilitate vaccine distribution by using stadiums as distribution locations. Baseball has a lot of problems, but for me, it’s encouraging to know that baseball wants to help resolve this public-health problem. The implication of this one-star listener’s review is something I hear often: leave politics out of sports. But sports and politics are intertwined and they always have been. When we talk about labor negotiations, player salaries, and franchise value, we are talking about something that’s deeply political. When we celebrate Hank Aaron and his accomplishments, part of that conversation centers on race and the forms of racism and exclusion Aaron experienced. Lambasting a sports podcast because it has the nerve to mention (for about two minutes!) the ways sports intersect with the world at large is absurd.

    Covidiot Rebuttal
I left a five star review because the show is interesting and different, but also because the last guy left a one star review because the hosts talked about getting vaccinated. What a ridiculously unfair reason to leave a one star review.

Great for keeping up on MLB news.
This is a great podcast to help you keep up with all the MLBs latest action and how team are doing around the league. I personally really enjoy their takes when they bring up players you have most likely never heard of that starting to have good streaks of playing really well whether it’s a reliever or maybe just a fun stat about a player who finally got his appearance. It’s a must listen if you want to keep up on all that’s going around the MLB.

    Insightful
Very interesting show. Definitely worth a listen if you are a serious baseball fan

    East Coast Bias
These guys are great and if you’re stat head you’ll love it. Just keep in mind that they’re heavily biased about East Coast/Central baseball. Very rarely do you hear them giving praise to West Coast teams and when they do it is only about the teams with big money.
  • Rtmcc14mcc
Not a fan of the change
What I loved about the old version was how you guys cut right to the “why” and really explained exactly what players were doing right/wrong and supported it with stats. This latest podcast with interviews became too superficial - which isn’t inherently bad, but I already get that type of content from others like Buster Olney. I hope it shifts back again to more detailed content that helps me be a smarter fan.

audio is poor, content is top notch. please fix. either make the content poor so I can unsub or make the audio top notch. Thanks congrats on new name.

    Wow.
The level of knowledge that Mike and Will have is insane. The content is great, and the rebranding of the name is even better. If you like this podcast, check out my podcast called Strike Zone, or visit my website at redwhiteandbaseball.com

    5/5 Podcast, 1/5 audio quality
I love Matt and Mike and baseball and Statcast. But they NEED someone that can edit and level the audio. It is consistently bad. Intro music blasting my ears, Mike sounds fine, and Matt is way too quiet. And then sometimes they’ll cut to an audio clip and you just hear breathing for a minute. A few weeks ago they uploaded an episode that wasn’t even the right podcast. This podcast is good despite these issues but it deserves better.

    Keep it Coming
They have found a great way to bring baseball content without baseball being live. Not easy but they have found a way. Super fun episodes.

The BEST podcast about baseball. Period.
I listen to podcasts on a lot of topics, but I am a big baseball fan and would listen to more about baseball if they were as compelling as this one. MLB’s Mike Petriello sets the tone with a lean, snappy, fast-paced, meaty, educational, and fat-free agenda for every episode. This isn’t just a couple of guys sitting around and chatting about sports. You will learn things about the game you love, learn to love it even more, and be entertained.

    10/10 Offseason Content
Awesome podcast. These guys know how to make the offseason interesting. Excited to hear how the content changes during the regular season.
  • JeffTrav
    More episodes
This is the best statistics based podcast around, but I think that this show needs to be a multiple episodes per week show because its that good. I agree with what others have said about the volume of the opening music in comparison to the rest of the show where my car stereo is set to max volume but still hard to hear the regular conversations.

Adjust Audio so we can enjoy this podcast to its fullest!
This is the best baseball podcast by far. Content is just great great great. The audio however... it needs a Mike Trout-esque adjustment. The music is startlingly loud and the voices are super soft. With the volume all the way up I can barely hear. If I’m in the car or outside walking, I’m jamming the earbuds in my ear in hopes of hearing. I think a great goal is to want your audience to listen at half volume so they have an option to go louder. At the the current volume, there is nowhere to go. I hope this helps and it’s understood that this comes from love and adoration. ❤️
  • Baseball is neat
    Amazing podcast
Amazing, great host I love this podcast. This is the best baseball podcast.
  • tpubz
Wish I could hear what you are saying
I don’t doubt there is good information but I can barely hear with it my device and stereo turned all the way up when on the freeway!! Every other podcast I listen to is equalized to the same output dB, please ask around the industry and figure out what setting you guys needs to use. Swear I’ll switch my rating to 5 once that happens.
  • Anthonygyanks
    Good Content, Garbage Sound Volume
This is one of my favorite podcasts and I look forward to its release every week. The hosts are both great, they work well together and bring a lot of great insights for the listeners. My only complaint, which is annoying enough to rate 3 stars, is that the volume on this is SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than pretty much all other podcasts. It’s annoying to miss the first few words because the volume was set to normal instead of max. Then, when the next podcast comes on it feels like it’s screaming at me when I forgot to drop the volume back down to normal.
  • aelias
Great podcast if you can hear it
Hosts are great and very good baseball content. Like others have said, it is frustrating to have to turn it up to max volume just to bring it to a normal level.

    Love the podcast...can’t hear it
Love this...look forward to it every week. But why is the audio so low?

    Fix the audio
Awesome podcast but the audio is so bad
  • jsutj
    Sound quality is horrendous
Great info and great tidbits, but the song quality is absolutely terrible. I don’t understand how it’s so bad. Does MLB not pay for quality mics? Mike talks so loud while I can barely hear Matt. I had to unsubscribe because it’s just not worth it. Please fix it so I can come back.

    The best
I’ve listened to many stats-based baseball podcasts and am thrilled I found this one. The information is great and the two hosts are entertaining. I’ve stopped listening to other podcasts because the hosts had way too many inside jokes and bored the hell out of me. These guys make it work. Take a listen.
  • Eggnog T
One of the best baseball pods out there
The two hosts break down weekly happenings around MLB from an analytical perspective. They always offer interesting insights on various players and teams. Highly recommend for any baseball fans looking for an intelligent and entertaining podcast.

Statcast is a must for the thinking fan.
Mike Petriello knows how to make the most of baseball’s most compelling data.

I host a baseball podcast. Unfortunately, Statcast Podcast is already the best baseball podcast there is, so the rest of us are just jockeying for second.
