    Here’s the Thing
Sunscreen is annoying and swim shirts are lame. It’s up to you to make that annoyance-lameness calculation. Dare I say: do your thing Mike!

    Best Seattle Radio Show
Brock and Salk have become the best radio show in Seattle and it’s not even close. One of the things that elevates them from all others is the fact that Salk can talk about baseball better than any other local person on the radio. My one complaint would be that they read too many stupid texts, particularly from Mariners fans. The average baseball fans knowledge about baseball economics is embarrassing. (Example: Lyle) Show me one owner in sports who spends more than they receive in revenue? If I could ask one question, it would be, who spends a higher percentage of their revenue, Yankees, Dodgers, or Mariners? My guess is it’s the Mariners. All you have to do is look at a map and see that a heck of a lot more eye balls in Los Angeles and New York than Seattle. It’s too bad MLB doesn’t share their TV revenue equally like the NFL. Unfortunately, the teams in the biggest cities will never agree to share their TV revenue, unlike the NFL.

    More Lyle please!
Can’t wait for Lyle’s …man on the streets reports from M’s Spring Training!

    The Mike Salk Monolougue
The Mike Salk Monolougue is awful. He can’t do it. You need Brock or more guests. You’re saying the same thing over and over and it’s obvious you’re just filling in time til the next segment. It’s fricken boring. NO more Salk Monolougue!! Marine Layer podcast reviews at 4.7 stars. Just saying, maybe stop being mean to Lyle, even though he is kinda dumb.

    Pumpkin Head & Banana Boy
Somebody has to say it, Brock has a giant pumpkin head! And Salk, you eat fancy, overpriced bananas. That, plus your opinions and overall personality, is why Geno doesn’t follow you. Also, I understand the Dk take but that’s a teardown & rebuilding move and the Seahawks aren’t doing that. Lastly, how many times has Ernest Jones watched the Halloween classic Ernest Scared Stupid?

    Best show in the PNW
Best Seahawks and Mariner sports shows around! A little Gonzaga Basketball talk would be cool. I definitely could care a less about Brock’s and his Bow Down life but I get it.

    be better salk
Salk should create his own daily podcast called let’s trade DK. Do we really need to hear on a daily basis why you think we should trade dk? It is the most drawn out topic on this show by a wide margin. But nonetheless i’m a daily listener and a big fan of all the shows on the network. -max

    Thank goodness ranked is gone
I said I loved this show and would write a new review when ranked was canned. Andddddd here we go. Love the show. Been listing since the beginning. It’s a staple in my life. Thank you for getting up early every day and providing some stability through the ups and downs (mostly downs) of being a Seattle sports fan.

I love Srock and Balk! Great show! The show is entertaining and full of interesting guests. It’s my favorite thing to listen to while working and hanging with my pet chinchilla. Keep up the great work.

    Solid morning sports radio program
Pretty typical sports radio show. Hot takes to drive engagement, standard coverage of local teams (Mariners and Seahawks, not much Kraken, Sounders or colleges) relevant local and national guests and interviews. A few negatives for me personally is the hosts talking over each other and talking over guests during interviews. The first hour of the show generally has a repeat interview from the day before which is odd for a podcast do they not have enough content to run a four hour show?

    No Salk Slander/Some Brock Hate
Salk is hated on by everybody for good reasons sometimes. (Doesn’t like the NBA, hates DK Metcalf with a fiery passion) But he also is not scared to push back which is good. I used to see Brock’s face on the Seahawks preseason games and decided to hate him for some reason. But I’ve come around as long as I’m not watching the video stream because I will call the cops if I see his face. But overall a great show and Here’s the thing is the best addition in a long time. Thanks Maura. Lyle, do better for all of us please

    Salk is the man
Big fan of the show from southeast Idaho. Mostly only listen to Salk.. I get bored when Brock comes on sorry Brock. I think Salk is the anchor of this whole show

    Brock + Salk + Brock’s fingers snapping
Urgency = finger snaps. Task of time = finger snaps. Playing fast = finger snaps. Anything that refers to getting things going = finger snaps. Brock and what I imagine are enormous fingers, consistently snapping away. Sort of annoying but strangely comforting…? Love the show.

    4.7 is a Reach
Obligatory 5-star review from a loyal listener for a whiny Salk. Born and raised in the Seattle area, but now living in Phoenix, I listen to the show to keep current on my favorite Seattle teams because it is eclectic and somehow mildly entertaining. Salk is overbearing and unrelenting in his outrageously closed-minded opinions, but we embrace him like the weirdos from Portland. Brock’s wide set eyes fixate on “body beautiful” people because his massive hands resemble more ogre than he cares to admit and he’s jealous of those who don’t transform every night into their true selves - like he and his cousin Princess Fiona. However, we appreciate his many connections to the sporting world since guests agree to appear on the show to take shots at Salk (like we all wish we could), while sprinkling in a few nuggets about sports to camouflage their true intent. Justin is the cool kid, now estranged from the show to avoid Salk’s salty influence. Meanwhile, Maura stands out for being genuine and authentic, as exhibited in her comments about Kenneth Walker. Altogether, it’s consistent with our society’s trend to waste time on nonsense, but it’s captivating to listen to this cast that rivals the Adams Family. #takethebullbythehands

    Listening since Version 1
I have been listening to Brock and Salk since the first iteration when I was living in Seattle listening to Salk getting passive aggressive notes on his car parking in the street near his home. The overall cast of characters from every version have been a great mix with personalities playing off each other extremely well! Even with the exits and entries of folks to the show it has not failed to entertain! Keep it up everyone and Maura please keep everyone in-line, especially Brock with his four minute questions to guests and Salk’s rants Podcast listening in Albuquerque- thanks everyone!

    Great show
Salk continues to be a delight to my ears. My husband has been a fan for years and I casually listen when he has it on. I love Salk’s straight talk about our Seattle sports. Brock may be the softer spoken optimist, but Salk is the anchor of the show and the wonderful curmudgeon us Seattle sports fans need.

I’ve got a bone to pick
Okay Mike, or actually I’ll call you Micheal. The dude is such a poser. He is a typical Seattle resident who roots for the huskies yet never setting a foot in the classroom there. (Not that anyone ever learns anything about the real world at UW 🤮) The show could be better and I can’t stand listening on hard weeks after the mariners stink or the hawks get the doors blown off. I enjoy mikes hatred of the Yankees. (I myself am a firm believer that a Yankees loss is a win for America). Man I hate the Yankees and the Astros. Anyways. Great show. Love the jokes. Love how uncomfortable Brock makes people. Justin is cool. And Mike, aka Micheal aka guy with no “man card” likes to make the show about himself and honestly it’s the pick up I need at 6:00 every day. Especially after a good weekend. (I considered giving a 1 star because you deserve it Mike but that would be too mean for the people who actually work hard on the show)

    Great show
Because Salk complained. Great show with great coverage of the Seattle sports scene, look forward to listening.

    Great show
I have only recently just gotten into podcasts and I found this show and it has become my everyday listen. I was a fan of Brock since I was a little kid and had won a huskies poster in 4th grade, then he was drafted by the Seahawks and I became a big fan. Always hoping he’d get the start over Kitna. That was the reason I started listening to the show when I found it, and I have stuck around as an everyday listener because Salk tells it how it is and frankly has talked me off a ledge as a mariners fan quite a few times. The banter between Brock and Salk is hilarious quite often and I am glad I found the show. And yes, I have downloaded the Seattle sports app. Thanks guys!

Great, but will make you nauseas
Look, this is a great show. The chemistry between all four of these people is perfect. None of them are the same and that conflict, but mutual respect causes moments of not only great debate and thoughtful consideration, but true moments of gut laughter. I would happily have coffee with any of them. Brock is endearing, Salk is that friend you’re friends with but you don’t really remember how you got introduced in the first place, Justin is everybody’s friend that brings the show, and Maura is the show’s legit secret weapon. It’s always a fun listen. However… Can y’all give the food advertisements to somebody other than Salk? There’s something about him describing the latest Bellevue-based food chimera that just reminds me of that family member that chews too loud during Thanksgiving. “Do you like waffles that are also somehow sushi? Did you know potatoes are healthy and good for Washington’s farmers?” He asks. “Well, Shtrooo,” he continues, undoubtedly spraying the microphone with was has to be saliva that wreaks of onions. The show is great, the advertisers are right for the show, but, man, give somebody else the food copy. Did you know I’ve stopped eating breakfast while I listen to this show? Well. Shtroo. Five stars.

    Great Radio Hosts
Brock & Salk make for a great listen, nice balance of back and forth. I especially love when they do interviews. They play off each other smoothly. The Alex Rodrigues interview was A+

Never expected to become part of my day
Despite my best efforts, now a regular listener. Sum is definitely greater than the parts, and the relationship of the two hosts is a draw. Keep it up gang
  • Fresh Hops
    Fun show with thoughtful moments
The fun banter keeps me listening to the show, but what I really like is the way Mike Salk puts sports into the context of the broader culture. I live discussions of leadership, team identity, etc. Those discussions are much more interesting than just reciting statistics and talking about X’s and O’s.

    Great Radio
As someone who’s moved far away from the PNW into the land of the Texas teams, this show is a nice bit of a comfort food. Salk is much more measured and non clickbaity than most radio heads and Brock is a nice balance. (when he’s not comparing everything to football) Love Mora & Justin. War Ranked, Unwar Salks hammy.

    Maura is the real MVP
Salk…meh! Brock is a childhood hero so he’s alright in my book. Justin can have his own show one day and I’ll listen. But Maura, sweet, sweet Maura. The voice and laugh of an angel. Salk outkicked his coverage to get a true winner like Maura. However, ranked rules!

    Mediocre at best
Easily my favorite mediocre show in the Seattle market; probably the country! I’ve moved from Seattle to Hawaii to Montana and now be d Oregon and once the ability to stream my local shows became a possibility I’ve been a loyal Brock and Salk listener! Keep it up guys and Mora

The years Mike was gone made me truly appreciate his talent. Let’s all take a moment to bask is Salk’s greatness while we have the chance. Oh and Brock’s cool I suppose.

    Great show!!
I agree with Salk more often than I should. I am a recently a retired military member. I have listened to the podcast all over the country and when I was stationed in Germany. I have retired in Colorado and you guys keep me connected to Seattle sports. Thanks! Maura, I too do not like ranked. Keep up the good work! Dave Brown, Colorado Springs

    To Salk
You guys have been part of my Daily routine ever since I got a new job in January! I’ve been delivering mail for 6 months now and I just can’t wait to get out on my route which is when I’m able to listen to you guys. Even though Salk has some very questionable takes, and his new found love for the WNBA can be a bit much at times. Y’all get me through my route most days much appreciated! — The 208, ((North Idaho) (Which from one Justin to another Justin North Idaho >>> Any of Montana))

4.6 is too low, and a travesty
Been listening to Brock and Salk for over a decade now, and while the voice of Dave Neihaus on a late August evening will always be my gold standard of “comfort radio” that invokes pure nostalgia and puts me in a place of pure zen - Brock and Salk has legitimately taken a place in my heart as “comfort radio.” I have moved around the US a lot over the past 15 years, and being able to listen to B

    Since Mora wanted dirt bags
Salk & Co, I’ve been listening to the show since almost the very beginning. I think the first show I listened too was right after the Jim Mora 2009 team played Jacksonville and for a very brief moment it looked like they might be a good team. I’ve never been local to listen to the show as the military took me far away from the Seattle market, so I often rely on your show as my only window into my favorite teams! All the iterations of the show have failed to live up to the standard you set. Maura and Justin are great, I still enjoy the show when Salk takes vacation now. Although I liked Howdy and Kyle quite a bit too, so I’m not sure how complimentary that actually is. Really I just have one complaint in the last 15 years… why or why is Brock allowed to sing that auction song… it’s so cringy I can’t even write the actual name of the song… please please no more! Cheers!

Best show in Seattle… or maybe the world?
Brock and Salk is not only the best sports show in our region, with great guests and analysis, but it is also incredibly fun, endearing, and entertaining. I have been a regular listener for over a decade and am so grateful for how they’ve given me a healthy distraction from all the other drama in the world. The hosts model how it is still possible to respect & enjoy someone with a very different worldview from you. I miss Kyle & Howdy but Justin & Maura have infused their own good vibes to the listening experience. Also, shoutout to the late great John Clayton, you will be forever missed. If I could ask for just one thing it would be a little more Sounders talk, I know it’s not in your wheelhouse but surely there are some guests you could bring in to help with that. All-in-all though, I listen to many different podcasts on varying topics this is consistently my favorite, thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻
  • OK Mariner
    My favorite morning show
I listen every morning from Oklahoma. Love listening to Brock & Salk and I look forward to the Jeff Passan segment every week. Mike talks Mariners a lot, which I’m a big fan of since I have very few baseball friends. Brock does a great job breaking down the Hawks. Solid guests, solid show.
