Check out the Eagles Pin-Pull Network
BGN Radio may be gone, but several of the hosts started a new podcast feed, Eagles Pin-Pull Network. Go check it out!

    What’s Next?
What a loss. Can’t imagine the season without the BGN coverage and just refuse to. Frantically googling the names of the BGN cast hasn’t yielded any results yet, but we will be waiting. Refreshing our feeds until we can listen to your analysis once again. Go Birds! (Even missing Ochoa rn, tell no one.)
  • TShmooze
    Disappointing
BLG and Kempski were always my go-to for Eagles news. Idk what I’m gonna do now. Hopefully they emerge together again from a different network.

The BEST Eagles podcast! Please take your talents elsewhere so we can get more BLG, Stolnis, Shane, Kempski. You will be missed!

    Best eagles Pod out there.
Been listening since day 1. You guys are the best hands down.

Everybody is bad except jimmy and blg
Man stolnis filling in made me realize there’s only two people here worth listening too(John you don’t need to laugh at everything dude), the rest are just filler. Bgn used to be so good

    BGN Memories
BGN memories was a lot of fun to listen to during the pandemic. Do you think you’ll ever go back to that series? You left us hanging without a Super Bowl 15 pod. I know it’s not a good game for the Eagles, but I hardly ever hear anyone talk or analyze that game and it would be interesting to know what went wrong. (I was -1 years old at the time of the game)

    NFC Gaslight
I’ve loved this pod for years but RJ consistently gaslighting BLG is getting really old.
  • Nickchuck17
    Jimmy and Brandon are great
Can you guys steal an idea from High Hopes pod and do a “Perfect Off-season” pod? A month to go to free agency and I’d love to know your favorite targets in free agency and the draft. Everyone can say “the eagles need a LB” or whatever but how exactly would you realistically best meet the needs of the team? Perhaps even a 2-parter with a perfect free agency acknowledging the holes left to be filled then a perfect draft later.

    Mixtape eagles/cowboys songs
Songs for the bitter end of the 2023/24 season: Cowboys - Cloud Nothings - "wasted days" Key lyric: "I thought I would be more than this" Eagles - Jeff Rosenstock - "doubt" Key lyric: the whole song sums up the dramatic car crash that was the second half of the season
  • JustInDaFacts
    Interesting Approach
Shane is awesome and great content Key correction to Johnny’s statement about how motion gives a receiver a head start because he’s in stride. That’s not true. Unless he’s just cutting straight horizontal to the flat, guys do NOT get head starts and momentum because they can’t turn upfield until the snap. Page would love Canadian football bc those rules permit a receiver to be in motion vertically before the snap - o get that, and motion is great - but the most salient goal of motion is to see what safety or CB is traveling w a particular receiver. No travel = zone not man. but this is a minor beef. I am listening religiously because I’m trying to figure out how Shane is so patient enough not to interrupt Johnny Page. I like Page’s perspective and he’s a knowledgeable analyst, but he needs to talk less, and not always feel like he has to prove his expertise.

    Commentary
Can we please stop with the qb3, cb4, wr1 geek talk. Say the player is the 3rd ranked quarterback. It doesn’t sound cool and nfl personnel guys don’t talk that way. Other then that MORE SHANE!!!

    What happened?
You guys used to be good. Now you’re two people with abhorrent analysis and takes. Shame.

I love these guys as much as a hate the Cowboys
My go-to pod for insightful and intelligent discussions related to the Birds, Boys, and the other two dumpster fire franchises in the NFC East. BLG and RJ are smart, funny, and respectful of each other despite their opposing fan perspectives. Their dynamic is a refreshing contrast in sports talk to loudmouth talking heads screaming at each other. And as a man learning to evolve past the toxic masculinity I grew up in and sometimes perpetuated, I appreciate their emotional maturity and vulnerability. It’s so great hearing R.J. publicly tell a friend that he loves him. I appreciate R.J. so much that he has done the unthinkable and made me think more of Cowboys fans, as a whole. No longer can I view them all of Yosemite Sam; they’re comprised of smart and decent lovers of football, too. That being said, BLG is right that watching Dallas once again choke in the playoffs last night was more fun than any Eagles win. I imagine that only an NFC East fanatic can understand this. And if you’re such a person, this is your podcast.

    Great
    Really great cousin talk. Ugh.
  • IanFor123
    Great
I don’t know how to describe this, but Kist (Presumably?) is mispronoucning “you’re” as “your” in the intro to BGN Radio. Anyway, appreciate the feed every week and Jimmy/BLG are great on BGN radio.

    Post game still needs work
I’m sorry, I love BGN love BLG love JK love Stolnis love the mixtape. The postgame has needed work ever since K+S left. Impossible shoes to fill but the prevailing formula has not been it!!! Every take is stale and lacks nuance, the show is not dynamic and has no juice. I want to love Jess and Shane but I simply cannot. I have had to migrate to Philly Special w Schiel and Ben, but I want to give you my listenership always. Please :(

    NFC East Mixtape
Ron the Don here (unless I’m still sloppy Joe meat RIP) and I just wanted to say happy new year to BLG and RJ. I am writing this review because on this weeks podcast. I struggle big time with anxiety and indecisiveness but after hearing BLG talk about his New Year’s resolution, I’m inspired to try and follow suit so hopefully I can be more confident and decisive. I’m glad I got y’all to get me through my Wednesdays a little bit easier. How bout them cowboys!
  • Puja McGriddle
    Becoming a Grind
Not as entertaining as prior seasons. Both brands of trash talk are fairly poor and low resolution. In short I experience this podcast at the water cooler every Monday morning, I don’t need to wait until the end of the week to listen to more of the same. Used to listen to entire episodes religiously but now it’s a net meh.

BLG is like that donkey from that family guy clip who loudly heehaws and doesn’t let anyone else make points or dare to disagree with him These five stars right here are for Kempski, guh birds

    Reviews
Can’t seem able to separate the shows in the reviews. Anyway, I love Jimmy and Brandon. BLG is actually less grumpy these days and more substantial. On the Shane Page is excellent. Typically I prefer listening to my podcasts but had to watch this to get the full effect. Lovely show. Finally, the post game show is also quite good. Well done BGN

RJ Ochoa might be the dumbest person alive
Blatant homer with old school football thinking. Probably has no idea what EPA is, or any of the advanced stats. I appreciate NL East banter. But it’s hard when one side is completely brain dead. BLG is ok, kinda gets pushed around by RJ somehow. The rest of the shows on here are pretty good. The post game shows are great. And who doesn’t love a podcast with Jimmy K.
  • Flyersguy555
    Do we bring back Ertz?
Hey Brandon and RJ, long time listener and Eagles fan listening from Scotland. Quick question, though it may be old news by the time you next record….with the news that Zach Ertz has been released and apparently wants to sign with a contender, what are the odds the Eagles try and sign him? Could potentially be a better option at backup TE than Stoll?
  • phillyjeans
    Not your dads radio show
The days of angelo and the other incel uncles at WIP are over. Philly has always been a knowledgable fan base and this podcast feeds the fan base with intelligent insight. Love the show and hope we see more.

    Love the show, but sometimes...
Holy crap. I thought we were done with the whole Office/Springsteen/Huey Lewis thing. Could someone tell RJ that it is 1000% part of the joke? Does he really think the writers didn’t know what they were doing? For crying out loud. BLG is king. Now stay tuned for RJ reading more tweets. *Eye roll*
  • ramrez4prez
The heart of rock and roll
Next mixtape tell RJ that the Office writers intentionally played a non-Springsteen song. Earlier in the episode a character jokes that Michael’s playlist doesn’t feature any actual Bruce. Also, great pod. Go birds.
  • JuanSG123244
On the Shane page is awesome!
Great new addition, BGN. Since Kist and Solak, we’ve been missing a pod that’ll get down to the nitty-gritty. Shane and Jonny do a great job of analyzing the game, you can tell they love the game and care about the work product they put out. I learned a lot from the first episode. They’ve even got clips on Twitter of the plays they analyze if you can’t watch on YouTube (as I can't since I listen on drives, etc). As a suggestion, it might be good to briefly explain some of the more obscure aspects of the game and to engage the listener to stay at the beginning (I.e., yoooo, what’s going on Jimmy Kempski from the Philly Voice idk). All I know is that my friends will be blown away by my new takes every Sunday. You guys really hit your stride as the show went on and excited to hear more. Well done!
  • jabardze
    On The Shane Page
This is the closest BGN has come to filling the hole left when Kist and Solak got promoted. Exactly what I’ve been waiting for. Having both guys with BGN and not having the first episode until today is akin to Swift sitting behind Gainwell week 1.
  • AndyFromConnecticut

I’m sorry for the loss of your dog, Charlie, Jimmy. I do feel he was part of the BGN family. You would talk about him and we would hear him bark in the background occasionally.

    Brotherly Shove
Hi BLG and Jimmy, Has there been a concerted effort by Philly media to make “Brotherly Shove” a thing? A few episodes ago I remember you were discussing the name of the play and Jimmy had lamented that “it’s probably too late to change it although I like it better than Tush Push.” Fast forward a few weeks and now they’re using both terms interchangeably on national broadcasts. Just curious how that happened. Thank you guys so much for your hard work and dedication. The podcast is a national treasure!
  • Mike12021993
Love the Site, Especially the Mixtape!
I have been a big fan of BGN for several years now and listen to just about every podcast that’s put out. I came originally for the Kist & Solak show but quickly began enjoying the rest of the sites offerings. However, for me the mixtape stands head and shoulders above the rest. With that in mind I waited until now (the day after Dallas was embarrassed 42-10) to write a review because I hope this is read on the mixtape because I want to hear Brandons thoughts on RJ stating that the eagles are not a threat to the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC and I want to know RJs thoughts on his comments after the beat down the Cowboys suffered last night. Go Birds!
  • youareastar
    Jimmy and BLG are great!
    So much fun.

    Great Podcast!
Update - Still loving all of the shows! But NFC East show is the most passive aggressive radio hour I have ever heard. I’m convinced that the hosts hate each other! But I love it - hilarious Great knowledge and chemistry. A really fun listen for Monday mornings. I also love the diverse cast - you don’t find that with most sports shows. Keep the content coming!
  • Da Archduke
    Still Great Eagles Content
Left my last review when Kist and Solak were still on the feed. BGN is still putting out that good Eagles content, but I miss everyone’s favorite big wig producer and Ringer employee.

    Favorite Eagles Pod
I’ve been listening to Jimmy and BLG for a few years now and really appreciate their fair, smart, candid and entertaining insight. Their preseason coverage is especially a must listen. They play off each other really well and also just seem like good dudes you’d want to talk football with over a beer. Cheers, Mark

    Diggs vs Dak
This review is being sent before listening the the most recent Mixtape, 8/03. I can’t wait to hear RJ tell us how the Diggs comments to Dak are taken out of context and it means nothing. Go Birds!
  • Some Amish Guy from Lancaster
    NFC East Mixtape
R.J. is great, but listening to his McCarthy takes are like finding out a family member you respect has fallen down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole. How can someone with good insight and analysis be so certain that Mike McCarthy, the definition of mediocre, is the best in the division!
  • 55ellipsis55
Yellow card joke is objectively funny
The yellow card joke by BLG was objectively funny given that RJ is a Manchester United fan and if they receive a yellow card (a penalty in soccer, not the American Rock Band from Jacksonville) duringn a game this has a negative impact on the team RJ is rooting for. I understand how he was not quick to comprehend this given his fallacious reasoning for picking Tyler Smith over Pro Bowl LG and Unanimous All-American, Remington Trophy winning 6 ft 6 inch 333 lb Landon Dickerson. 🔥You’re still the nicest Cowboy fan I know RJ. Thanks for the great mixtape fellas!
  • Birdz aren’t real
NFC east mixtape - Landon Dickerson Discourse
Big fan of the pod! Both of you guys are usually pretty nuanced with takes but had to write a review after the all stars offense episode. Hearing RJ argue BLG was trying to swing rules against the cowboys and then still declaring victory with his LG pick in the end was pretty funny. To me the point of all stars is taking the best player at their position, full stop. Making the versatility argument for Tyler Smith is understandable but Landon is a better at the position of LG no contest. Using marginal PFF scores is a farcical method to win a debate. Using pro bowls seems like a trump card but some players can get those nods by virtue of previous accolades or name ID (i.e. fletch in 2019 & dlaw in 2022). Looking forward to defense & hearing the argument over who of Micah Parsons/Haason Reddick is the OLB or DE.
  • A-Will 89
BLG’s logic prevails on the Mixtape
I stand by BLG’s logic to call out new roster additions as over/underrated. People are hyping up these new players based on various factors and so that can either be justified or inflated. BLG is allowed to have that opinion and RJ shouldn’t hate on it! Keep up the great content, go Birds!

    Awesome Analysis
I really enjoy listening to this pod casts because it gives more than your basic analysis. I really like Jimmy and BLG with BGN episodes who are great at adding humor and insight to their show. The NFC Mixtape is great ESPECIALLY when BLG gets RJ worked up when he proves RJ wrong. The EPA podcast was amazing this year with all the draft coverage. Last, they have just as good of quality info on their website - bleedinggreennation.com. Keep up the great work. Go Birds!!!
