BionicDaveMurd = Unique brillianceHonestly, I could listen to this guy read the phone book :) Adam Murdough speaks with such charming enunciation, vocabulary and clarity that the fact that he happens to be conversing about comic books is just the awesome icing on this delicious cake of a podcast. No, it's more than that. Murd's Time Bubble is the perfect companion for anyone interested in any era of comics, and the creative process that went into making them. Murd has always been my favorite part of the regular Comic Geek Speak podcast (which is also cool, check that out too!) so listening to concentrated doses of him every now and then in podcasts such as these simply makes traffic jams and my cardio workouts seem to fly by in no time at all. I'm so happy I discovered Murd's Time Bubble :) [and big thanks to Murd if he ever reads this]

Steve EarlJust wish it came out more oftenI honestly thought this was gonna bore me, one man podcasts aren't my thing (the open tomb by Eric Anderson is an exception) but I ended up loving it. Merd has the ability to pull apart and summarize vast quantities of comics quickly and entertainingly. Highly recommended.

CMurrinWorthwhile on many levelsMurd's Time Bubble works for me in many ways. Sometimes it offers reviews of comics I'd read long ago and forgotten. This plays on my comic loving nostalgia very well. At the same time, it shines the light on some past titles and books that I might have missed. I often find myself adding more issues and/or trades to my to-buy list after listening to an episode. Finally, there's a degree of serendipity between the books Adam happens to be reading and the back issues that I've been pulling from my to-read box, which makes the show seem oddly current, even as it talks about comics from a decade ago. Add to all that Adam's natural storytelling and his ability to contextualize these comics in an interesting way, and you've got a show that offers a captivating look at the past through the eyes of the present.

Kyle & C'pherIt's Y2K again... for the first time!I love seeing people reading books I have read and hearing what part they're up to, what character was just introduced, what plot twist was just revealed... listening to Murd's Time Bubble is just like that! Adam Murdough is an inveterate comics buyer... but life intervenes and he, like many of us, runs out of time to actually READ them all. Undaunted, he now faces a stack of nearly 9 years worth of accumulated weekly takes from his LCS, and we get to be along for the ride. Murd is a hyper-intelligent guy with a vocabulary that puts nearly everyone this side of William Safire to shame, and boy does he know how to construct a sentence! Unlike many other single-person podcasts, where the host ends up droning endlessly in an Ouroboros-style cycle with little point and no end, Murd is a pleasure to listen to and manages to convey both his keen interest in these comics on a somewhat academic level -- he has written a major dissertation examining the 1986 DC "maxi-series" CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS -- he also conveys that pure joy of reading comics; that feeling you get that reminds you of why you started reading comics in the first place. Hop in the Time Bubble, and ride along with one of the best podcasts out there.
